2 Issues I've got.

So I've got two issues going on right now, 1. Lonesome Road ED-E Refused to follow me throughout lonesome road, killing then resurrecting him worked for a time, but he'd eventually stop following me again, also for some reason any robots or turrets in that DLC refused to attack me, and ED-E woulden't attack anything either.
2. I've got multiple broken textures on glass and on certain indoor places, Mostly factory places, like the various metallic parts of Colonel Moore's office, or some places in the Hopeville Missile Silo Bunker, the textures flicker and change appearances depending on how I look at them, I used to have the same issue with the Veteran Ranger Helmets, but I fixed it by deleting those textures and then verifying my game files, I was wondering if there was a Way I could delete all the vanilla textures and require them so they wouldn't be corrupted.

To delete the vanilla textures, open the game data folder and locate textures.bsa and delete it. This will remove all the vanilla textures.

 

Any textures added by mods are located in the Data\textures folder.

ohhh, thank you so much, I didn't know vanilla and mod textures were seperated like that, I deleted some files which had broken textures and bam, fixed up!

As for your problem with ED-E and other robotic devices, sounds like you may have a "mod conflict" or at least one that is changing how they react to you. Please post your sorted mod list. (No screenshots, please unless absolutely everything fits on one screen.) As described in the wiki "How to ask for help" article, LOOT provides an easy and simple means of generating this list, and it doesn't have to affect your current load order at all. Also please list plugins that do not appear in the "load order".

As for plugins that don't appear on load order, do you mean like NVSE and such? I have both that and the JohnnyGuitar NVSE, Enhanced Shaders ENB, and the 4GB patcher, Atleast thats all I can remember having...

these are all extremely new mods, and I only just recently started getting back into modding after taking a break for 2 years

I'll look into the 1st and 3rd things, but I'm not sure about the 2nd and 4th, I've never heard Solid Project causing issues, and theres abit too many tweaks for those StewieAI tweaks for me XD

UPP is now hidden by the author and he links to UPNVSE.

 

Take a look a the Mods to Avoid section of the Viva New Vegas documentation for an explanation re Solid Project and Populated Casinos.

 

Of course, it's entirely up to you what mods you use but many users aren't aware of the issues some mods cause and they wind up on here asking why they're experiencing problems.

Oh thats wild, I misread UPP as YUP haha, looks like I downloaded UPP only a couple of hours before it was hidden, I guess I'll give that a download then.

I see "Lonesome Road EDE FIX 2.esp", which is from "YUP Lonesome Road EDE repair weapon stuck fix" (from 2014). Don't see anything else that obviously affects Lonesome Road ED-E but I haven't heard that anyone has identified the cause of this problem either.

 

Did you have that mod installed before starting LR, or did you add it later in an attempt to fix the problem?

 

Have you tried testing with a "new game" without any mods or acquiring ED-E as a companion to see if the problem still exits? If not, you may have to try adding mods one at a time to see which causes the conflict.

 

Did you see that this fix has been incorporated in YUP10+?

 

Did you try the console commands for ".waiting", "isfollowing", and "combatstyle" suggested by sandbox6 in the description and comments?

 

Do you understand what is meant by "the regular ED-E"? The ED-E you get find in Primm has a different REF-ID than the version you encounter in LR, and needs to be prevented from accompanying you into LR (the ".bedehired" command). You have to use the correct REF-ID with the console commands.
