You Don't Know Everyone...

I gave it a shot and most of the NPCs quests seem "attached" to their names, that means if I change all the actor names to "person" it will give problems with their quests.

I also can't think of any way to mask them temporarely so to not have to do any change, I may have some other ideas but I'll see better once I'm done with the other mods, in case I won't be able to do it I'll just post my code/ideas so maybe someone more capable than me may take up the request, and Dhegonus I think a script is needed to Change from "Skyrim citizen" to their name once you get to know them (or to check if you already know them should you load the mod as an "old" player).

oh yeah, if you want to change the name after you speak to them, then a script would be needed.. but a lot of people really don't like scripts in their mods, unless there is a way via skse

I think scripting is only bad if scripts get left behind when you uninstall the mod and corrupts your save game. Many popular mods have uninstallers that remove all traces of the scripts in the save game such as Wet and Cold, and UFO.

Is it possible to create a script that searches for the players current quests and makes some NPC's known to the player based on the quests they have?

I'm still interested in this idea if anyone would like to have a go? I wonder if corpses will have their name displayed if a mod like this is made. I think the best solution is to come up with an argument such as that after looting someone you find out who they are from an id or a letter that has their name on it. So a message could pop up saying 'you search their things and identify them as Hod'. Or the name could just be added after they have been looted.

Hmm perhaps the solution for is to make the NPC know to the player if he is part of a certain quest, although that kinda defeats the point of the mod to a degree. Do you think there is a work around with scripting?
