I can't download my mods anymore because of Firewall.

So uh, today I was trying to download some mods. But then, a pop-up came out saying that my download failed. So pressed "Show more" and it said that I can't download my mods because the firewall is blocking Vortex. What must I do? I tried to find a fix for this but I couldn't. If this fix was simple, then I'm just stupid. But please, do help!

If you're talking about Windows Firewall, the first thing windows does, when a program tries to access the internet, is pops up a window asking you if you want to allow 5the program to access the internet.

Did you not get that confirmation window?

If not, just go into windows firewall and set up an incoming and outgoing rule for Vortex.exe

Either that or you have an overly paranoid, false-positive happy, free AntiVirus that has decided that Vortex is a virus and has blocked internet access to it.

Should

I also have this problem

Not only that, my firewall IS offline and couple days ago(including yesterday) never like this

Should I just turn off my firewall? Or find another way to fix this?

Sorry if I misunderstood you. I also have this problem. Tried disabling it, doesn't seem to work

Well I did tried that, still not working. Also I have excluded the vortex's file plus the mods file, doesn't seem to work either and I only have windows's av. Nothing else

If it seems like the issue noted here or here then try using a vpn to connect from various locations semi-near you.

VPN seems to be a temporary fix. Anyone can explain why ? I'm sort of curious tbh

Also why am I replying whole thing when op is the one is asking
