SkyUI freeze

Hi all,

Whenever my character is midway to end of performing and action such as finishing casting a spell or bringing out a weapon and I press q the game freezes and the only thing I can do is end the process. This freeze aslo occurs when I have just entered a building or exited one. I know it is not due to any other mods I have installed because when I disable this mod this freeze doesn't occur. This didn't happen when I had an older version of Skyrim or SKSE so those two could possibly be the issue?

Current Skyrim build - 1.9.32.0.8

Current SKSE build - 1.6.13 rel 41

Make sure you've got everything fully uploaded. And download BOSS for Falloutnewvegas/skyrim to order your mod setup. ^^

I suspect you are running out of RAM.

Try removing some of your hi-res mods, lowering your versions for other texture mods (like choosing the lower options for SMIM),

and/or lowering your graphics settings (like lower AA, disabling AO, etc.)

I have 16gb of RAM currently so just a check before I down grade the settings could it still be the RAM?

Edit: I lowered my graphical settings from Ultra down to Medium and problem still exists. Have also tried BOSS and no luck.

 

Edit 2: I restored the game to an older version of Skyrim and SKSE

- Skyrim 1.8.151.0.7

- SEKSE 1.6.9 rel 37

With Ultra settings and no mod changes and the freezing did not occur once.

What could the problem be??

even if you have 16 GB of RAM, skyrim is capped at 4GB by default.

 

perhaps you can try raising it further?

How can I raise it further?

 

Also I uninstalled all texture related mods and problem still persists.

Sounds like two different issues. Freeze on transition is just Skyrim being flaky as usual. Freeze on the Faves menu might just mean something amiss in your Data/Interface folder.
