Unable to change deployment method from Symlink to Hardlink

Hello! I've tried looking up a solution on my own but I haven't been able to come across anything. Somehow, somewhere my deployment method on Vortex was changed to Symlink. Once this was done I have been unable to switch it back to Hardlink, even after having un-installing Vortex and re-installing it. Does anyone know a workaround or a solution to the issue?

 

The attached picture is what I'm seeing, and it gives me no other option to change it.

WHICH GAME?

 

What Drive is the Game installed on?

 

What drive is your Mod Staging Folder on?

Vortex staging folder is installed onto my C: drive, the game I'm currently going to mod is Monster Hunter World, which is located on my A: drive. The problem though is that I know Vortex wasn't always deploying as Symlink, it used to be Hardlink.

Irrespective of game - Windows requires hard linked files to be on the same drive.

If your game is on the A: drive, and Monster Hunter World allows hard links, the mod staging folder must also be on A:. Windows rule.
