rydah
What happens if the author of one of my subscribed mods on steam decides to delete his mod or gets banned ect and said mod is no longer available, does it now just magically zap out of my skyrim folder? I will use steam but I must have strict assurance as time goes by that my mods will be secure. Edited April 23, 2013 by rydah
FrozenFeather
No data is safe, game will whine of it tho when particular mod isn't available if its removed/hidden/banned, un-subscripting wont remove file neither. I'm not recommending steam workshop much because Skyrim requires then sync with cloud which will upload saves every time game is closed/crashed which might suck if you have multiple save games size of 3 - 7,00mb each. Georgiegril
I have to disagree, although it has been quite some time since I have used the workshop. One of the main reasons that I stopped using it was because it forces updates to mods--including if a mod is removed from the workshop, it is removed from your list and your game. GrimyBunyip
sometimes in the past, I'd accidentally start skyrim without the SKSE launcher. and since I had steam mods subscribed, they updated and messed up my load order. I've stopped using steam workshop.I just don't see any benefit to it, updating with NMM is just a button click away too. and the UI is better, and it makes endorsing really quick.
