SexyBeast303
Hello Nexus! i am a new member on here and after about a month of downloading mods created by the amazing people on here, i want to try and make my own mods. I am fairly new to pc gaming as ive really only played consoles so in all honesty i am new to almost everything about pc gaming, but i am learning on the go and so far im learning alot. Now i was just wondering what program i should use to create my own mods, and i dont know much about it but like i said i like to learn on the go. GrimyBunyip
There's several tools, and they're all useful for various things The creation kit obviously but:TES5Edit - Creation kit can be buggy and limited, I find that TES5edit is sometimes necessary to make certain changes.SkyProc - A Batch processor and additive patcher, lets you do a lot at once and insure compatibilityMCM API Reference - Not a program per se, but this is a useful referenceTurn notepad++ into a papyrus compiler - The compiler in papyrus is limited in various ways, and rather resource intensive. It may be worth it to invest time turning your notepad++ into a papyrus compiler for various reasons.

gsmanners
If you have a dramatic change mod (like a clutter remover), that TES5Edit is very handy. Take a ten-hour job and make it take five minutes. You do have to know a little Pascal (or something like Pascal).
