AN issue Since the Vortex Update of Mar 24, 2021

I am using vortex to run Skyrim LE. I've been running the same game, same mod list for years with few if any problems. The last time I played was 10 days ago or so with no changes since, until today.

Today when I opened vortex I received a message indicating Vortex had an update and I hit go ahead and update then restart (Newest update date is March 24, 2021 I believe). Vortex opened fine but when I logged into Skyrim after the update the game runs fine for a few seconds, i.e. I can move, open inventory, open mod config menus etc. and then the game freezes. I do not drop out of the game and can see the game world, I also have use of the third person camera but the character can't move or open the inventory etc. Essentially totally unresponsive to commands in game. I can still access the MCM menu, load, settings etc using the escape key, access console commands etc. Just cant interact with the world.

When I log out of Skyrim and check my plug in order I get an error saying I have incompatible mod archives. It lists three mods, Death Alternative, Morskom Manor and Skyrim Unbound (All Nexus mods). For all three it tells me the BSA's associated with the esps were designed for Oblivion and are not compatible. Except I've run these mods since 2014 and 2016 on both NNM and Vortex with zero issues and they worked. I've checked the mods and there is no way to know if they have been written for Oblivion or Skyrim although they are old enough it is possible they were originally written using an Oblivion tool.

I have not updated any mods, just the Vortex update today. Yes the mods are for Skyrim LE, I've confirmed that.

So my questions are: Has anyone else had this problem? Since the update? Is there a solution? (A converter etc.) Is this potentially a sign something screwed up in the Vortex update? Anyone had any experience in loading a new vortex over the old? (i.e. simply downloading a new copy and installing it into the same directory so I don't loose my mods). Anyone got any other advice (Please don't recommend going to MO2).

I've been running 276 mods for years with almost zero problems but this one has me stumped. All my saves were run with these mods and the mod pages basically say your saves are screwed if you uninstall any of these mods and try reusing the save, so basically a start over situation).

Anyway, any help, thoughts, guidance on the above issue is welcome. Thanks in advance.

THis was already covered in a thread right below this one.

It means that whoever made the mod used Oblivion's Creation Kit to make the Mod for Skyrim.

Apparently, this check was added to the newest version of Vortex

According to Tannin42 you can ignore it if everything is working OK

HEre's the thread just a couple of posts below already marked ANSWERED
