Jaig
After moving to Windows 10, my Steam copy of Fallout 3 stopped working, and no amount of fixes could remedy it. So I bought it on GoG, which works perfectly. But now I must begin the modding process anew. To that end, I'm wondering, what mod manager should I use? I used NMM back in the day, and that worked out fine. Now I hear that Mod Organizer 2 is the new hotness, but I tried to use that to mod New Vegas, and it simply did not work for me. I would probably just use Vortex, but that one seemed to have a problem with large Oblivion mods, and Oblivion and Fallout 3 have always been similar in pain-in-the-ass quotient. Fallout Mod Manager is still one of the top downloads on the Nexus, but it is old as hell and seems like it would be obsolete. So I put it to the experts. Which one should I use? M48A5
The one you are most comfortable with. After reading all the comments about the other mod managers and having tried Nexus Mod Manager, I went back to FOMM. Yes, it is old, but so is the game. FOMM is the only mod manager I know of that was made specifically to manage mods for Fallout 3. I currently use the FOMM-FORK with no problems. Which one should I use?Use Vortex (the most popular mod manager) or FOMM. Either works fine for FO3 and have tons of support to work with. I suggest vortex though for thd simple fact it works for a massive number of games so you will only need one manaher installed instead of several. Though FOMM is alright though kinda wonky and the UI is dated to hell but it works well enough.
