Vortex Download Cap?

I'm sure this has probably been asked and answered a million times in the past but I'm not having much luck finding an answer, I'm a premium member on the nexus and with that I'm supposed to have an uncapped download speed but when I'm downloading mods via Vortex I've never gone above 3mb/s whilst downloading a mod. I've tested downloading mods manually and it fluctuate a bit but I average about 25mb/s that way. I was wondering if Vortex itself has some sort of cap and if there is a way to improve it's download speed? I haven't tested whether or not I download at a higher rate using the now community managed Nexus Mod Manger so I don't know if I have the same problem there or not.

In order to report your problem properly, first read this

I'm having download issues, what can I do?

1. cancel any download(s) you started before you became a premium member

2. Log out of the Nexus

3. Log out of Vortex (If you use it)

4. Log back into The Nexus and Vortex.

5. Go to your NEXUS MODS Profile, click SITE PREFERENCES

6. Click PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP PREFERENCES

7. In the PREFERRED DOWNLOAD LOCATION Dropdown menu, select a PREMIUM Server that's close to you, or the one that gives you the best speed.

Thank you for this, it helped speed up my vortex download by a few mb/s. I'll have to fiddle about with it to see which premium server gives me the best download speed. It's definitely something on my side that's preventing it from getting my usual download speed. I'll have to try closing everything before I download a big mod.
