Chaky2
Every time I open the comment for editing, the backslashes disappear. It's making a havoc when I try to edit a post that contains a file path.

To be in the sure side I tested it in the mod's comments page too, works fine.
LHammonds
Try editing the comment while in the forums. Click on the Comments tab of the mod, click "Go to forum" and then go to the last page (assuming it was the most recent post you are editing) LHammonds
Chaky2
If I type backslashes when I edit, they stay. But when I try to edit the comment that contains backslashes, then they disappear and I have to re-type them all over. There is nothing wrong with my keyboard configuration. This is the only place where it happens, therfore it is the bug with the site coding. Editing while in forums doesn't have that effect.
Deleted269910User
I can confirm the problem, it only happens when you edit a post that contains backslashes, through the comments section on the file page. The only way to avoid it is to type all the backslashes all over again before finishing the edit, or to edit the comment/post through the forums. Deleted269910User
True, but who bothers really? Doesn't take too much time to type them again. :P Still, this is a bug that should be dealt with, when Dark has the free time.
Chaky2
True, but who bothers really? Doesn't take too much time to type them again. :P Well, if you had a keyboard like mine and had to press Alt Gr + Q to get the backslash (notice that they are on opposite sides of the keyboard!), then you wouldn't wonder why your fingers are so stretched. I have to use my left thumb and left pinkie to get the backslash. :wallbash:

I have a disabled friend that uses this one. http://www.lakefolks.org/cnt/
Chaky2
Will give it a try eventually. I, myself, am somewhat disabled. Got a damaged nerve in my left hand and can't fully feel my fingers and, yes, it IS a pain in the neck to type anything with my left hand, let alone aim for 2 keys at once that are on the opposite sides of the keyboard. I'm sure this will make things easier... ...but it still doesn't fix the problem with the site. I'm wandering what genius thought that it would be a good idea to put backslash there...
