Strange Idea: Settlement Packin

I got to wondering, would it be possible to put all the elements required to create a settlement, workbench, markers, borders, etc., into a packin so that all you could drag that to a cell and have all the necessary moving parts already linked?

You'd still have to do some editing, move the pieces to their proper locations, stretch the build area and border, etc., but you wouldn't have to worry about missing a step and forgetting some link or XMarkerHeading.

There is already such a packin as far as I remember. And yes.

If it already existed the various tutorials would say "grab this packin" as the first step. I've yet to see one refer to one.

But if it worked it would make things easier:

1. Create new settlement layer and make it active

2. Drag packin to the settlement

3. Expand buildable area marker

4. Expand border marker to match

5. Drag workbench to where you want it

6. Drag markers to appropriate places

7. Edit map marker

Ok, I think there's a step missing. Location probably. Still, the thing that kills most attempts is forgetting one of the dozen markers required, or just forgetting to link one of them. If everything came prelinked, so you only had to move and resize things for the most part, would make life easier.

I have scripted the creation of a full workshop settlment including Workshopparent registration at the push of a button, except:

(1) Map markers must be unique placed objects, they can not be created PlaceAtMe as the attributes can not be set from script.

(2) Locations must be created and hand tagged LocTypeWorkshop and critically LocTypeWorkshopSettlement as there is no script command for AddKeywordToLocation or to add a location to cells/cells to a location.

Therefore never published.
