Only way a tech can become 'proven', is if we actually use it as intended, and it works the way it is supposed to. We already know that wind power really isn't the answer, for a variety of reasons, but, it was a nice bandwagon for the politicians to jump on at the time, so they did.

 

Unfortunately, coal ash is rather toxic...... so, DC sounds like a REALLY good place to put it. :D

In other words......It ain't gonna happen anytime soon. Gotta start small and scale up, which takes time, experimentation and money.

 

I say, subsidize clean coal as well as alt energy. Don't make us pay more for a proven technology while we subsidize an unproven one.

 

Patience is the key......no hell-bent for leather atty to help alt energy investors recoup their investments quickly.
