Survey Responses!

I'd assumed the average age range would be higher, but there we go.

I do hope though, however, particularly due to the quote chosen, that the anti-glamour brigade haven't used the survey to air personal gripes about mods they don't even use.

:)

Maybe there should be a survey for how many people hate Steam?
It could start with a -5 to +5, There should be no reason it needs a + but hey each to their own :)

Granted Robin and his crew do all the real work. To their credit it has always been totally transparent, leaving me with a feeling of "pride" as the site leveled up.

Steam just feels cold and sterile to me. A shell that all these people are herded through as their release into the modding wild begins. I try to point the way here. Many are too "green" to venture all the way here. When I got here the forums were like the great tomes of hidden knowledge. I love Nexus.

p.s. I signed up for Steam bucks. Fallout 4 DLC, brothers (and a few sisters)

You obviously have strong bias if you think Nexus "user friendlyness" is honestly that much better than Steam

Edit: Also @alexelric since when has Steam's website mattered?

Well Rouge, I tend to agree with you... my boy on the other hand is fed up with me bichin about it... yup, he loves it, no matter what you do, you'll never please everyone!

Steam got the same dislike when it started just like Origin is getting now. I use it for the games and that's it. I avoid the discussions because it's like a schoolyard of children arguing among one another. I'll only buy a game if it's on Steam. I did sign up for the Steam Card drawing.

Or on the other hand there could be 0.1% of female Nexus users, but they all took the survey. so there seems to be more of them.

This should be stickied.

Never knew there was a survey going, so it may have been posted in places folks like me don't frequent.

You shouldn't set too much store by one quote, I have no doubt that had the quote given Vampire and werewolf as an example then the vamp and puppy brigade would be up in arms, the example was to show that some good mods get drowned by the number of girlie retextures, and given the age range that you point out it does not surprise me at all.
And, well, to be honest there is a hellovaload of check boxes in the filter search section to avoid most of the stuff you don't want!

Oops, I totally missed there was a survey going on, lol. Probably because I'm so used to ignoring any kind of banners and advertisements. But I'm also a female who wasn't counted. :D

Females 8 %

Math... I need a nap

preeum wrote: Maybe some female modders got tired of browsing through all the excessive t&a mods; there seemed to be more female modders but I think a lot left in the past year. For a woman to come onto this site and see nothing but high def asses and tits, she can easily just leave and look for mods elsewhere. I've recommended friends before and they've commented how the site 'looks like a skyrim pornsite' when I sent them to the front page. It would be nice to see an upgrade.
llamaRCA wrote: I've been hanging around the Beth communities since 2008. In my experience there are very few female modders or players in the Fallout community. There are more girls active in TES.

Now that is an observation for the Nexus to look at... Preeum!

It's good sometimes to sort a category by fewest downloads or endorsements, there's a lot of garbage down there but the odd gem does pop up.
