murter95
I tried to play blade and sorcery today after a long break and vortex had an update install to the program itself. Now that that update has happened, Blade and Sorcery will not be activated and it displays the error posted below. Nothing has changed with the file path and id like to know if there is a way to reset it all so that I can start it from scratch when vortex worked. I have plaid this game almost exclusively with mods since i purchased it over a year and a half ago. This is the first issue I've come across and have no way to fix it with my knowledge base. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Vortex and B &S. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pickysaurus
Are you on 8.3 or 8.4? Have you tried checking the file it's referring to exists? We've seen this a few times and simply restarting Vortex seems to fix it
RVHD1
I have the same issue. I think I am 8.3 as I only have a fresh steam install with no beta access. I looked in my installation folder and there is no \mods folder after C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Blade & Sorcery\BladeAndSorcery_Data\StreamingAssets\ Am I supposed to manually add \mods\loadorder.json, or is it supposed to be there by default? RVHD1
I just manually installed the mod into the \StreamingAssets\ folder. I think the \mods\ folder that Vortex wants to use is for 8.4. Since I'm still on 8.3 I need to put mods into the StreamingAssets folder. I'm not sure how to get Vortex to use the StreamingAssets folder instead of the mods folder. Everything I have read says Vortex only works with 8.3 and not 8.4, so maybe this is switched around now?

DoctorKaizeld
trying to describe the issue in the title of the thread is part of your problem
Pickysaurus
Merged the 3 separate threads all discussing the same problem. A hotfix has been pushed out to attempt to address this. Next time you open Vortex it should install automatically.
