  1. I see no need to artificially lower the number. Offering alternative means of birth control is always welcome, but abortions are a right (simple autonomy over your own body) and should always be legal and accessible.
  2. Can't exactly murder something that isn't alive.
  3. You were raked over the coals for outright denying studies as a whole, then proceeding to push your own biased narratives without providing any research or statistics to back yourself up. You went much further than simply acknowledging that there are flaws in the peer review process that could be worked on. You essentially tried to equate your own personal opinion (that conflicts with evidence) to years of research produced via the scientific method.
  4. Agreed on both points. Although I will say I've never personally seen the first one happen with the exception of people needing to communicate sensitive information without being overheard.
  5. I'd disagree with electronic communication being inherently worse than in person, face to face. There are merits to each. I'd also say that in person social skills are still entirely relevant. The overwhelming majority of jobs and schools require you to be physically present, so there's no lack of opportunities to socialise face to face. Yes, there are people who prefer to stay indoors all the time and have trouble socialising with others in person, but that's not a new phenomenon at all. As for creativity, we're hardly lacking and a quick trip through the Internet would demonstrate so, in my opinion. And the Internet is a great place to learn skills to enable oneself to be creative too. Don't know how to draw? There are plenty of tutorials on the Internet. Want to find a dance instructor? Google is your friend.
  6. Doesn't this belong on the "Straight Men and Transgenders" thread?

I hadn't heard of this tech before, this is interesting indeed! However, I doubt that this alone could balance out the CO2 being released by the burning of fossil fuels. Scientists have also proposed releasing aerosols into the atmosphere that would have the effect of dimming the sun and therefore slowing the rate of global warming (http://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/aae98d), however this only buys us more time to address the cause of it.

Well yeah, the climate changes due to natural forces too, but nothing like what we're getting due to anthropogenic forces. You're right though. We need to adapt and switch to clean, renewable energy before we all die.

The aim of the agreement is to limit global warming to 2 degrees C, or even better, 1.5. Naturally it won't be perfect but it's far better than nothing. Lots of countries are taking it seriously. Yes, US CO2 emissions were decreasing since 2005, but that won't remain true for much longer under Trump. He's loosened regulations intended to limit the use of fossil fuels, and worse yet, is encouraging further investment into them. Since you brought up China and India, it should be noted that they are still developing countries, so their previously rising carbon emissions were to be expected. As a result of the Paris accords though, they've been putting in the work to stop this. In 2017, India's solar prices undercut those of fossil fuels (https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/may/10/indian-solar-power-prices-hit-record-low-undercutting-fossil-fuels), and India is still continuing in this department, building some of the largest solar parks on the planet (https://www.latimes.com/world/asia/la-fg-india-solar-20180319-story.html). China is also leading on this front and in 2016 alone their solar power capacity more than doubled (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-solar-idUSKBN15J0G7). I'd hardly call the agreement useless. Considering climate change is largely caused by us, we can and should stop it.

I don't want to comment on other areas I'm not as informed on but there is one issue that drives me absolutely nuts which is that Trump keeps denying climate change and refuses to take any action on it. Worse yet, he pulled out of the Paris agreement. Considering the US is the second biggest contributor to climate change (https://www.ucsusa.org/global-warming/science-and-impacts/science/each-countrys-share-of-co2.html#.XAZRb5kRVky) it's totally inexcusable. It's like he's trying to bring about certain catastrophe.
  11. Here's my $0.02: First of all, there is currently no scientific basis for "transagism". Secondly, age is simply a measure of time. You cannot change your date of birth unless you have time travel technology, which does not currently exist. I think it's fine if someone identifies as younger/older and takes steps to make their body and expression more congruent with their identity, say with cosmetic surgeries or a change of style. But this does not mean your date of birth can be changed. Thirdly, being able to change your date of birth raises several problems. Age restrictions would no longer matter if every teenager could change their date of birth to make themselves 21 and buy all the alcohol they want, for example. It also makes it difficult to deal with cases of pedophilia if the offender has changed their date of birth to make themself 8 years old. Granted, if "age dysphoria" were treated similarly to gender dysphoria at all, you would likely need to be examined by a psychologist first before you could change your legal date of birth, which would certainly lessen these cases but it would not eliminate them.
  12. Depends on what you want I guess. Most of the gameplay mods have been ported over by now and SE is definitely more stable, but LE is still wayyy better for graphics right now.
  13. Yeah, might be a bit difficult. I tried messaging anano since he was in the special thanks along with himika, but his inbox is full too. I might try himika later.
  14. I actually decompiled the scripts and looked at the mod in the Creation Kit, so I know exactly how the mod works. Raising the limit and even adding an auto toggle when sneaking would be pretty straightforward, in fact, I've already done it. The only problem would be getting tktk1's permission to share it (he's out of inbox space and I have no other way of contacting him). By the way, if anyone could get me in contact with tktk1, I would REALLY appreciate it (I have other things I also need to ask him)!
