  1. Oh man. Thank you, Shingkou. PMing you now. Megageklizzy, it's for Witcher 3. But the problem isn't in the importing.
  2. Hey everybody! So, this isn't technically about Skyrim, but I've seen more fantastic armor modders here than anywhere else, and I've exhausted the forums for the game it's for. I hope that won't stop you from answering, because I'm literally pulling my hair out here. Anyway, we had some problems getting outside armors into the game. We were finally able to do so by editing the weights of the outside armors, but now the textures aren't stretching over them correctly. Could someone PLEASE PLEASE point me in the right direction here? How do I edit the textures to make them fit properly?
  3. Unfortunately, it doesn't help. Skyrim's Creation Kit modding tool is galaxies better than Modkit. I've been trying to force Raven's Armor from TW2 into TW3 since Modkit came out. No luck so far. The way they did everything is just completely different and unique. Doesn't work well with modding. Plus, it would really help if we had a functional modding tool.
  4. Heheh. A good way to do it. Also, if you're going to take away the auto-refill, are you going to change ingredients for everything as well? It'd make sense, as there are a lot of ingredients you only get a few times, even for regular non-decoction type potions.
  5. There is a mod that gives you an option if you want to auto-refill or not. I would ask that mod's author. :) Also - might be hack-y, but you could script each potion to simply get dropped when the player drinks it. Potions are destroyed upon drop, so you'd accomplish what you need.
  6. I'm currently working on improving the look of all tiers of the Wolven armor. You won't have, for example, any clipping - or the weird stripes - or the weird, puffy sleeves on the higher tiers. Not exactly what you're looking for but might help. :)
  7. So, is it possible to change the amount of exp Geralt receives upon completing a quest that is beneath his level? Everyone knows you out-level the majority of side quests and contracts pretty easily, so it would be nice to simply make them worth, say, 50exp instead of 5, to make them worth doing exp-wise. If it IS possible, could someone tell me which file I need to edit?
  8. Can't do it yet - hopefully, when Redkit comes out we will be able to replace textures and meshes, then we can have all kinds of Geralt hair mods.
  9. Hopefully, once Redkit comes out, we'll be able to extract and then re-import meshes and textures. If that happens, re-coloring bear and cat armors is my first mission. (Can get it done in five minutes. Easy stuff.)
  10. Wait for the free DLC to all come out. Then they'll release Redkit, their modding tool. Then, hopefully, we'll be able to mesh swap (which is what you want to do).
  11. Yeah. Email me at <RL email address removed> please. Please do not post personal information in the public forums. Use the PM feature for that. --TNL
  12. There is a work-around for the current patch. Basically, the problem was a small hiccup in the mod manager when creating your patch.daimod. A helpful coder simply made a new daimod file and wrote out instructions on how to use it. Not on this site, however. I think he got in an argument with some admins or something. Dunno any more than that. Dig and ye shall find!
  13. There is a mod that changes all those xbox button things (like A to activate) into PS buttons. Simple texture change. You have to find it yourself, though. I'm scared to post helpful links if they're outside this site. ;)
  14. Not yet, no. With our current tools, we are not yet able to import meshes or swap them for others already in the game. DAI Tools is under constant improvement, however, so it's only a matter of time.
  15. Agreed. I miss most of DA:O's combat skills. I'm honestly so sick of all the crazy effects in melee. What ever happened to skills that were just moves to do with your weapons?
  16. I have a plethora of saves from elf mage male, human mage male, human rogue male. At all points in the game. PM me and I'll set you up.
  17. Edit: At this stage of the game, anyway. We can't make launchers or anything similar using the fan-made DAI tools for modding.
  18. You should be able to go to your DA:I in Origin and simply hit "repair game". It should have automatically started downloading and installing the newest patch when you went to your games. There are, of course, a ton of mods for DA:I, but stay away from any "launchers" or anything like that, as it is most likely pirated data. Big no-no. Big, big no-no.
  19. There is hope! This is copy/pasted directly from the DAI tools forum ( http://daitools.freeforums.org/using-mods-with-patch-5-t591.html ) : How to run mods with Patch 5: (UPDATED) 1) Copy the patch 5 folder you just got to “Vanillapatch” or whatever name you want 2) Delete 'Patch.daimod' from the modmanager v0.48a folder. (Skip if it's your first time modding) - IMPORTANT STEP - DO NOT MISS THIS 3) Use ModManager version 0.48 to merge your mods again. Save the modded merge to a folder named “Merged” or whatever else you liked - Force Rescan must be on 4) Rename the folder named “Patch” to “PatchV” 5) Rename the folder named “Merged” you made on step 3 to “Patch” 6) Start the game 6a) You can delete the folder “PatchV” or leave it there. Keep “Vanillapatch”, You will need “Vanillapatch” if you want to merge more mods
  20. They are definitely using Cheat Engine. The way it works is that your Inquisitor is ALWAYS wearing the Skyhold outfit. Think of it as underwear. Armor goes over-top. When you're at the war table or in Skyhold they simply disable the armor. Cheat Engine has a script you can run to toggle the armor on and off, so you can wear it in Skyhold.
  21. I wish. No mesh replacing just yet.
  22. Unfortunately, we still can't replace meshes using the DAI tools. It's in the works, from what I've read, but not ready yet. With Cheat Engine, there is a way to port in some of the items only available in multiplayer, but I haven't thoroughly gone through and tested what works and what doesn't. Some items will crash your game if you try to change an item into it. So far I've gotten some MP/NPC-in-single-player daggers and sword models into the game, but no armors. I haven't tested armor as thoroughly, however. If someone wants to do this and make a comprehensive list, that would be amazing.
  23. Well, there are mods to remove weapon class restrictions and armor class restrictions. I use both of these with my arcane warrior. Although, in the vanilla game, you can use the right materials to make any armor able to be worn by any class. You used to be limited in what it looked like, though, because only certain materials would come up without a class restriction. (Ie, if you made a heavy battlemaster mail out of silverite your mage could wear it, or Sera or Vivienne or whoever.) But with the item tinter you can customize a little more if you don't want to use that particular mod. So doing this, your mage is already a viable option as tank. My arcane warrior is already a beast. With fade step and fade cloak, using a masterwork Tevinter longsword in his main hand and leaving his off hand open to use Spirit blade alongside it, he's effectively the most well-rounded character ever. It's really fun. Again, though, a parry skill like block and slash for him would be awesome. I'm wondering if it's even possible. I know it was in DA2, but I don't know enough about the limitations of DAI tools to say yes or no.
