  1. Just in case it won't be moved and no one answers your request. I would recommend you to also post this in the more specific Skyrim forums: Skyrim Mod Requests: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/422-skyrim-mod-requests/ or Skyrim Creation Kit and Modders: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/3930-skyrim-creation-kit-and-modders/ Both would probably be better in your case. Hope you get lucky with your mod idea ^^
  2. I did read your post, but I also never had any real problems with enbs. Never run Skyrim for long without them. The other stuff I said was meant generally. Also nothing I said was meant to be "against" you, I just wanted to state my point of view.
  3. You can definitely run skse with mod organizer, the installation is just a bit different. Also I'm not sure what you're talking about there, but what as bethesda.net to do with skse? Bethesda.net only affects skyrim SE and skse only Oldrim or however you want to call it. Also Steam won't do anything. You install the game and fine. From there on steam will never do anything with the game. Except updating it maybe, but that's not the case with Oldrim, only maybe with SSE. Maybe I'm just a bit confused at the moment, but your post makes no sense to me :O
  4. The new engine upgrade comes with pros and cons. It definitely runs better for me, but visually the old one is still superior :-/ at least in my opinion. And I also never had problems with the original skyrim. No frame drops, overheating or anything. It even was less demanding then SSE. However, the main dicision for me goes with the mods. So if there's no skse and so on, I will not invest much time in it. Oldrim or SSE is somewhat a personal thing for everyone. Most errors, bugs, or performance problems are user created and no fault of the game. Like upgrading to windows 10 and therefore limiting the dx9 engine. But hey, the creation engine never was the best optimized or stunning engine in my eyes... But it runs Skyrim, so I will take it and love it :P
  5. Hmm... I can't think of any mod that would cause this. More likely frametime spikes, but never had them this consistent and idk why they would just appear out of nowhere. Did you try to monitor fps and frame time? However, it could be hardware related, but can't think of anything else :-/ sry
  6. The Problem log file would be helpful. In my case it helped to run nmm as administrator and to turn off my Antivirus "realtime scanner" (not the entire Antivirus programm). Most times the problem is about nmm having somehow no rights to edit some files it installed itself (in my case overriding files).
  7. Was with the new geforce experience version also geforce share activated? I'm not sure if it's the right name for it (my drivers are set up for my native language) but it's the "new" function which combines shadowplay and some features to share your recorded content. After it caused some bugs for me, like sometimes extreme stuttering I turned it off and they were gone (also had some enb problems with it). So I would recommend to check if it's activated or not, or to use ddu (display driver uninstaller) to completely clear the nvidia drivers and then reinstall them without geforce experience. For me the software only made problems and if you don't need something like the shadowplay functions there's no need to use it. Reinstalling with or without geforce experience would also clear any driver related issues (if you're using constant updates instead of fresh installations every time).
  8. Rumors about a release around the end of February to March. But like DaddyDirection said, they are posting news on the mod page and also on LoversLab (watch out for 18+ content). However, you can already use the original cbbe. It works completely fine with SSE. Maybe to shorten the time till the release ;-) The new cbbe they're working on will be a completely new version.
  9. I'm nut sure how accurate it is, but under the attributes should be a blue tag-blocking. There you should be able to disable the tag translation.
  10. When I just type in "Violens" the mod shows up. Maybe you have some of the filter functions set wrong?. Under Attributes, categories or tag-blocking?
  11. It's cause you wrote the name wrong. VioLens is the correct mod name, if you mean the killmove mod. (you had one "e" too much)
  12. ÃÂ Wait, what? You can do that? I thought the differences between SE and Oldrim made save porting impossible. As far as I know the only problem is that it's one way. So you can't switch the saves from SSE back to Oldrim, once you used them in the newer Version.
  13. I'm not completely familiar with this enb, but most enb's have some hit on the fps, depending on what settings the enb uses. But if this loss of 10-15 is normal for your system I can't say, but it could probably be normal.  In terms of getting better fps with an enb, there's not that much you can try. You could go into the enb menu (most times with shift+enter) and try to disable some of the settings under "effects". That could give you fps boosts but also lower the graphical quality - some settings have minor effects, but other are really important and significant. So best you can do is to play around with those settings, or lower some ingame settings like shadow quality. Try out if you get some fps increase and if you can see/feel the difference. Also you could try other enbs but most will have this fps impact, depending on their quality.  Great that I could help you :) Edit: Normally you can't use two presets at a time. They would just overwrite themselfs. However NLA is a bit of special cause it has some functionality inside of an esp for things like weather etc. So there are enbs that are specially designed or have extra presets to use along with NLA... There should be probably something about that on the NLA mod page or you could search for enb's with extra named support.
  14. Ok, so you just downloaded the folder from the enbdev website without any presets? Cause this will have no big effects on your game. First of all you should select a preset you're interested in and your pc can handle (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/searchresults/?src_cat=97 that's the link to the mod category for enb presets). Most of the presets have custom instructions how to install them within the downloaded folder or also on the mod page itself. Common steps (but not everytime) are: 1. download newest enb binary and copy the dxgi.dll and enbhost.exe (out of the wrapper folder) into your skyrim folder. 2. get the enb preset you want from the link I posted up there and follow the instructions. that's most time to download the folder and unpack several files into your skyrim folder (enbseries.ini, enblocal.ini and enbseries-folder) 3. set up your skyrimprefs.ini There are special instructions for this too, but most important thing is to set "bFloatPointRenderTarget=1". 4. modify the enbseries.ini to your pc specs (vram and so on) But you should really follow the instructions of the preset you choose, cause they're much better and more detailed than mine here. The instructions above are just so you can check if you forget something really important and probably miss some steps :D Edit: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENB these tutorials are great if you're new to enb
  15. I assume you mean enb? In that case did you set up your game correctly to the description of your enb (so all edits in the .ini files of skyrim and the enb itself)? It would probably help to get a few more information. Like your computer specs and which enb you're using.
  16. You're in the wrong subforum here ^^ https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/414-skyrim-technical-support/ That's the subforum for technical related Skyrim problems, which is better suited for your problem.
  17. Skyrim SE is a separate game. So you would just need to rescan your games after installing Skyrim SE and nmm would recognize it. So all Skyrim and Skyrim SE files are completely separated and have nothing to do with each other. If you want to port a save, just copy it out of the Skyrim save directory into the Skyrim SE save directory. But be aware that if the save was played on a modded version of skyrim there can be compatibility issues. Regarding creating new profiles in nmm. Yes, if you clock onto the profiles tab in the top you can create a new profile for the selected game without the mods installed in the previous profile.
  18. So it's on console then? Or are you just playing with a controller? In case of console I can't offer any help, don't own one.
  19. What is when hitting ENTER for the Details of the shown mods? (And I would recommend not to use the bethesda.net mod menu and to go with nmm. More mods and better control over them.)
  20. Depends on the mods. There're some mods that overwrite game data. Simply reinstalling the mods would be the easiest way to prevent any problems, maybe also update some if you already haven't (not entirely sure what the 1.3 update did back then, but there could be compatibility issues). Of course you could just test your game if anything is wrong ... normally most mods won't get overwritten by updates (due to the use of bsa or esp files). But there's no need to download all mods again to go the safe way. Just reinstall them in that case. (if set up correctly nmm stores mods outside of the skyrim folders and simply install them then into the data directory)
  21. To start without enb simply move the d3d11.dll and d3dcompiler_46e.dll out of your skyrim main directory. Personally I create always create a folder inside Skyrim directory for things like this. Deleting the ini files itself would be one way. Then starting the launcher to set them up again and also after that adding the necessary edits (for things like enb).
  22. Okay i think i did this right. It says Sabertooth x58 And oh :c thats terrible news. Hopefully i can access my old saves. if i reinstall will i have to reinstall my enb too? You can copy your enb files into a backup folder somewhere before you reset everything. enblocal.ini, enbseries.ini, enbseries (folder) and both .dll. Maybe also reshade files (don't know exactly which your enb uses) That would be the safest way. But when reinstalling just via steam, these files shouldn't even be deleted by steam itself. (At least I think so ... )
  23. In addition to that, if I'm correct your cpu only supports up to 24GB of RAM, might be wrong, but it could make some ram sticks useless. Edit: Regarding the startup freeze. If you haven't changed any mods in between like you said, it's most likely something with the game itself. Have you tried resetting the .ini files? (just deleting them and then setting them up new) Helped me sometimes. Otherwise reinstalling the game and mods might be the way (or testing complete vanilla state). Do you also tried launching it without enb? Sometimes something with that can go wrong ... don't ask me why, had it too many times.
  24. For me the 1080 nearly doubled my 980 performance (something around a boost of 80-90%). However considering the previous 80ti price tags the 1080ti will also be more extensive than the 1080 or 980ti.
  25. Started with a Super Nintendo back in the days, but never really went crazy on gaming ... until I played Indiana Jones and the infernal machine on my first pc. Maybe not the greatest game ever, but when I was younger I hang in there for hours every day trying to finish it... probably took me more than 10th the time a normal person would've needed, but I really enjoyed it. After that game my new motto was "pc is life - pc is love" ^^
