  1. I want a functioning natural ecology. Birds that actually nest. Beehives that respawn, pollinate flowers, or migrate. Ants that show up on more than just those two tree-stumps in Riverwood.

I mean, it doesn't have to be extravagant; Maybe add wandering pheasants, and make beehives respawn or something. But if there could be a system where bears hunt in the streams for salmon, or wolves attack rabbits and drag them back to their den; That would be cool.

  2. Oh god yes. I am in full support of this idea should someone pull it off.

This is bringing fond flashbacks from when I played the Discworld MUD (Which was extremely awesome by the way).

Sadly, the most detailed map of what it would look like is the one from that game:

  3. Did you do any of the Dark brotherhood quests? They make the thieves guild look more innocent then the kids at the Riften orphanage. Anyway, great idea and I too long to take care of this guild once and for all. I'd like to see a mod also be able to destroy the college of Winterhold and the companions as well, just so it's fair. They kind of played favoritism making it so the dark brotherhood was kill-able, but none of the other guilds. Either make none of them kill-able or all of them to make it fair, so it's gotta be all :P.

Actually, in my opinion, the Thieve's Guild is worse than the Dark Brotherhood. At least the Brotherhood has tenets and rules, and they respect their own, not talk down to them because they're simply a money-maker. And they don't have the hypocrisy of ass-kissing to that insufferable b**ch, Maven. OH, and on top of that, the Dark Brotherhood doesn't terrorize an entire bloody city just cause it'll make them rich. No, they do their job, nothing more.

Either way, yeah, I wanna punch that Brynjolf a**hole in the face. Just the fact that Bethesda had the sheer audacity to make it to where, if you didn't know Esbern was in the Ratways, you had to play an evil character for a segment.

I can't wait until the CK comes out, and there's a mod to take Maven Black-Briar down about 20 pegs (Oh, and taking over Riften with the Imperials doesn't oust her ass either)

I love this idea. All the different concepts for guns and other ranged weapons we have here are all really cool, so I think we need a category for each. I do think the idea for different materials is good, but that would make the list SUPER long (Although I do use Tytanis, so I can't speak for clean crafting)

Steel/Blackpowder: Your typical trusty flintlock rifles, pistols and muskets. These run off of a regular blackpowder that is made from fire-salts and other things, and utelizes steel bullets. Typically easy to make, but mediocre.

Dwemer Steamcrafts: These are your zany weapons, and where a majority of your guns would come from: Clockwork revolvers and steam powered crossbows are just some of the many wondrous contraptions you'd find. Hard to build however.

"Mage" Guns: These weapons are powered by a magical source, such as soul-gems or otherwise. Mainly they act like handheld spells that can be used by anyone. I could see the Thalmor giving these to their soldiers.

Daedric Cannons: Picture a flamethrower. Then picture a flamethrower crafted by Satan himself. That sums up this category. Most of these are "two-handed" guns that run off of human parts.

Ray-Guns: I'm not sure who would make these, probably the Dwemer.

As a side concept, I'd like to push the idea of Vorpal Stones; Basically, they'd serve as a way to enchant bullets. It would be this stone that floats in front of the barrel of the gun, and as the bullet passes through a hole in the center, it gains properties from the stone.

  5. I honestly wouldn't care if it broke lore, because crossbows, compound bows and gunpowder weapons would make "archery" a bit more fun. Hell, I'd love to have two more perk trees for firearms and thrown explosives, just to add variety to ranged combat.

What would really be sweet, is if they added in a VATS system for it, and maybe the ability to enchant arrows, or even different types of arrows, as if you were the Green Arrow or something.

  6. Holy s*** this art is amazing.

I honestly couldn't see it anywhere near Skyrim, but maybe some kind of Daedric plane or something? I don't know.

But there is samurai armor in the game; The Blades. They were essentially dragon-slaying ronin.

And good god that sword. Please tell me it's not shopped.

ACTUALLY; I could see it all as some kind of ancient tech or arcane artifact, akin to the Cuotl in Rise of Legends:

I don't know where this technology or whatever could be located, but I do know that the Obelisks of Order in Shivering Isles used a similar "Glowing digital line" pattern.

Mayhaps it could all be found in some super-magical Dragon Cult tomb, or an ancient Falmer cavern

  7. I'm OK with this. It'd be kinda fun to have a squire/trainee/plucky young sidekick. Especially (and this would require a LOT of work) some kid-friendly speech packs.

To the Draugr Boss: "Wow.... you're really *ugly*...."

"Hey, that cloud looks just like a dragon breathing fire straight at us... Oh wait."

"Ok, while you do that, I'll just stand here and admire your superior parenting skills, m'kay?"

"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"

I am loving this concept more and more. I think that the kid should have some combat capability, like how Aventus killed that woman (He was an orphan in Riften too)

If not being able to fight, then just having him/her be a torch-bearer/pack mule/lockpicker would be cool.

  8. The College does suck. You have to go through various doors to get to the library when it should be close to the main entrance. I would assume the library would be the focal point of the school, where everybody hangs out. The living quarters are oddly positioned. There should be a large garden (indoor?) for ingredients gathering, like in Oblivion. Now only the Arch Mage has ingredients. I always have to chase down people to buy spells and get training when it should all be in a single location (maybe the library). Alchemy and enchanting kits should be more accessible. And it should look like a college, not a lame aqueduct. It just sucks.

Um. The library is right by the front door. It's called the Arcanaeum, you get to it by going through the doors on the right in the Hall of Elements.

And its not like you can't go into the arch-mage's quarters to get ingredients. I mean, there's no bloody locks stopping you, and I don't think you can "steal" harvestable things. Hell, people lounge in it when I'm the arch mage all the time and it really creeps me out.

Minor tick aside, the college does need more "zazz". Like a cool dome around the college to keep snow and dragons out, or maybe some renovations that stretch out unsupported like the bridge.

  9. I want the Hammerthyst:

    With appropriate hammer-style kill moves:

In fact, can we get a mod that adds all the finishing moves from Fable?

  10. Mum: Go to bed.

    Child: No!

    Mum: Why?

Child: The dubstep monster will get me!

Mum: There's no such thing as the dubstep....

    Dubstep monster: WubWubWubWubWubWubWub

    Child: What..... What are you?

Dubstep monster: They call me the Skrillex

    Child: Oh god!

    Dubstep monster: D-D-D-D-D-D-DROP THE BASS

    Child: CALL 911 NOWWWWWubWubWubWubWubWubWubWub

  11. I've been finding myself rather un-immersed with Skyrim. I'm not certain, but I feel it's partly because of the soundtrack. It's good, but it doesn't "flow" for me.

Now, I absolutely freaking love Jeremy Soule's work on Neverwinter Nights, as even from the third-person perspective, I was sucked into the game.

I was wondering if it would be possible or even permitted for someone to do a soundtrack replace for Neverwinter Nights music in Skyrim?

For reference: Winter Day, Main Theme, City (Night), Boss Battle
