I think I'll create a separate MW thread before I derail this one any further. :)

Well, I'ver certainly got a lot to look into. Might have to get back into playing morrowind for a bit. :P Thanks a lot.
2. MGE is an incredible overhaul in terms of graphics for oblivion. There are lots of addons for it that add incredible sun rays, real waves and reflections and distant land. I'm sure somebody else can point you towards the best texture replacers, I wouldn't mind knowing the most recent ones myself. :P As for mods, I didn't install Fallout 3, Oblivion OR morrowind in another folder. They were all in program files and ran without any issues. I do have user account control turned off, however. If you insist on having user account control turned off it would probably be safer for you to install it in another location, but I can't say for sure that it wouldn't work.
3. The snow and rain doesn't go through objects?!?! I have to admit, although I may have seemed negative in my last post, that this is all REALLY impressive. Those waves (except for in shallow water), and the sun shafts really do make the game a lot better then oblivion. Oblivion needed texture replacements anyway to not look like crap, and the water was just crap under any circumstance. With some model overhauls and possibly a better fighting system I can see Morrowind getting a lot of attention back. It's really incredible what the community has been able to do for this game.
4. Right now, in Morrowind? http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b120/iam...reenshot215.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b120/iam...reenshot201.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b120/iam...reenshot187.jpg http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/17/86691960.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b120/iam...reenshot198.jpg http://i29.tinypic.com/ofzrz8.jpg http://i32.tinypic.com/33p928k.jpg http://i32.tinypic.com/2wqdhyw.jpg http://i32.tinypic.com/242bp4y.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b120/iam...reenshot151.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b120/iam...reenshot168.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b120/iam...creenshot88.jpg All in-game shots. ;) Nope. :P Not right now in Morrowind. Compare http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b120/iam...reenshot168.jpg with http://www.pcgames.de/screenshots/original/2009/06/2fzkp.jpg See the difference? I certainly hope so. It looks pretty, sure. But it simply is NO WHERE near Crysis. Gameplays a hell of a lot better, but crysis has physics, shadows for EVER object, soft shadows, motion blur, depth of field (Okay, that's in MGE too, but not NEARLY as good) and high resoloution textures. Almost none of those are in morrowind, plus the models are VERY low poly. So it will be a long time before we see a game like Morrowind with Crysis like graphics I think. :P
5. :/ Dude, not a great example. I would rather have a one in 30 chance of winning then a one in one hundred. That's LESS of a chance. A better example would be taking more cards. You have more of a chance of winning if you have 60 versus 30. Also, once you get to a certain amount of FPS it actually becomes worse because the screenw ill start tearing. On my ancient monitor I will take 75 fps thanks. :P

Crysis Mods

Ah. :P The CPU explains it. I was wondering how you were achieving that with 2 9800 GTX's. :P Did you get an aftermarket cooler to overclock it? Hopefully I will be getting that or more once I get a decent cooler and start overclocking my cpu. 4 Ghz is awesome. :P

Crysis Mods

60 FPS maxed out, eh? Care to share your system specs? Anyway, do a search for the Ultra High config for Crysis. It looks quite a bit better in my opinion although the shadows can get a bit dark.
8. The resoloution of your monitor has nothing to do with the resoloution of the textures, I meant that the textures for dx 9 might not have been tested properly. 50 FPS is a very decent level for gaming. You could try lowering the resoloution to get a higher fps but 50 should be fine.
9. If the error with Portal is happening to a lot of other people it sounds like the discs were all corrupted at print in some way. Or there could possibly be an error on steam. Try emailing Valve about it or checking if there's a steam update. I've had some problems installing Portal before but nothing that didn't go away when I tried it again. As for Far Cry 2... O.o Maybe the lower resoloution textures weren't tested and they left lines on them? lol I don't know... If Direct X 10 works then just use that. It's better quality anyway.
10. Yeah, it's in the game and has been around since Morrowind.
11. Uh, fallout 3 and crysis couldn't be at more opposite ends of the spectrum. Fallout 3 and oblivion are piss easy to run on nearly anything. Playing Crysis with a decent frame rate and resoloution takes above standard hardware. High settings shouldn't be a problem for most decent computers but very high is still a beast.
12. Exactly. There is no such thing as perfection so no game should ever be rated perfect. I never said other games were rated fairly. If ANY game is given ten out of ten it has not been rated properly. Eh, I liked it actually. In small doses but it definately wasn't the greatest game. Anyway... This discussion is kidn of old.
13. Actually, that's what ten out of ten means. It MEANS perfect. Not nearly perfect, perfect. There is no higher mark then 10/10, therefore there is no room for improvement. If there is no room for improvement the game MUST be perfect. It doesn't mean everybody rates that way, but that is what it means. The rest of it I mostly agree with, having high expectations means you have further to fall if you're disappointed. However, just because maybe we don't have the experience or knowledge or even time to make a perfect game doesn't mean that we should accept sub standard games (Not saying that this game is sub standard) Game developing companies DO have the time and experience to create such a game. Or at least they should. It IS what they do after all. They are doing this commercially and have money to back it. They aren't some random gamer who's trying to make a game for the fun of it.
14. Both were good... But I'd have to go with Dead Space. Bioshock was very good... But it was a bit dissapointing for me, it was really, really easy and actually pretty linear. Dead Space is linear too. But I didn't expect it not to be. The atmosphere in both games is incredibly, but Bioshock had so much unused potential that it kind of stopped me from enjoying it. :/ Get either and both. You won't regret it.
15. Means ALL vampires may have a weakness to garlic, but Vicente's weakness to garlic is unique. Unique =/= ALL :/
16. You have a 9800GT... and 1 gig of ram? ... That's pretty pointless... Definately get more RAM. 4 gig would really be the minimum to take full advantage of 9800GT. Also check the clock speed of the RAM before you start adding more to your computer. Adding different clock speeds is a bad idea...
17. Just use "Ctrl + F" in notepad and search for thread. Just go down from the top and change every thread option to enabled. I don't think the debug ones are necessary to change. But it probably couldn't hurt.
18. Are you on the console? If you're on pc you can add the item to your inventory via console. If not... :/ I guess you'll have to look really hard for it or start a new character. :/ Good luck.
19. Aw, really? That's a shame... Although I can't say I'm surprised. I'm not really sure how an Alien RPG would work anyway... It's certainly mroe suited to an action game. I just hope the AvP game doesn't become too much like the movies. I loved the games... But the moveis were pretty crap...
20. I think the default resoloution for the shadows is 512. I believe the Unnoficial Oblivion update raises it. Follow the above advice and also try raising: 'iShadowFilter=2' to a higher number like 4. Make sure to enable threading throughout the ini file to increase performance too. Too many shadows will make your frame rates drop, even if you have a high end gaming computer. Oblivion just wasn't meant to be played like that.
21. That's odd... Maybe post some screenshots of youur settings? If you're selecting the model before you export and you're specifying where you want to export it to I can't think of anything else... :/ Maybe try it with a different model? Just to test it out.
22. Hmm, for me I just had to rename the head_06 files to that of the original head files and overwrite. Everything worked fine for me after that. It's possible that the head fix changed the hair to a different location and as yours isn't in that location the head now works but the hair doesn't. Try un-enabling the fix and then going into the folder (asxivilai or somethign I think) and just renaming 'Head06Xivilai' files to 'headXivilai' I think that should get it working.
