Resurrecting an ancient morph.
Lawlder replied to Lawlder's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Yeah, that was it! Now it works again. Thanks for the help. Now I just gotta figure out how I'll make a functional .mop out of it... I did successfully create one but didn't include half of the facial features that he has in the save.. Must be features only available in the Toolset so that's where I need to look I guess. Oh well, time to do some googling then! -
Resurrecting an ancient morph.
Lawlder replied to Lawlder's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Thanks for the tips. You were right about the hairstyle, I got that working. I believe I have traced the problem with the skin to the scar the character is using. However for the life of me I can't find a mod with a scar like that. I went through all information I could find and everything in my character's face seems to be vanilla content from the eyes to the stubble to the skin. But the scar is from lands abroad and I can't figure a way to remove it in Toolset. -
This is a bit of a silly issue but indulge me. I haven't played this game for some 2 years but got back to it again. I wanted to continue where I left off, a mage character. He's supposed to look something like this: http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/c8b9/ef86mdh0goanhafzg.jpg But when loading the save 2 years later now the poor sod turns into a monster! http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/93cb/ee4h9h3702pzitazg.jpg I figure, easy problem in itself I just don't have the specific mod whose custom textures the character is using. But is there any way to find out what I need to get him working? I don't remember if he is fully my own doing or if his morph was borrowed from a mod and then further edited by myself, but I don't know if that even matters really. It's not like I HAVE to use his face but he just looks so much better than anything I can conjure after all this time away. If any of you whizzes know what's going on I'd appreciate it. I'm somewhat capable of using Toolset if I know what I have to do.

Well, I'd gladly pay just to support the site but the site doesn't accept my card (despite being good for GoG, Steam, all the others) so what, I'm locked out of the site because of things I can't affect?
-
Shame. I live in Finland and my card is from a Danish bank so that's probably the issue then. I can't use PayPal for reasons stated in OP (I tried to fix it but they never responded to me), and I hesitate to create a 2checkout account since I will most likely never use it again after this. Guess I'll stick to regular membership then.
-
So after years of membership I decided to show some respect and go Premium at least for a month for starters. However, when I fill my information (personal and card) I get a message that a problem has occurred. It does not specify what kind of a problem so I'm at a loss to guess what it is. I'm paying with Visa Electron, the icons were really small but I assume that it was listed next to the "base" Visa. I've paid to various online targets with this very same card, like Steam. I tried putting the card number with and without spaces to no avail. What's the problem? I'm afraid that I cannot pay with PayPal, I stupidly screwed up my registration back in the day and they still refuse to accept my (new) card. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I take the silence as a no?

1. You know the loadscreen with female draugr holding a bow? The armor looks pretty sick. It is much more pristine-looking than the Ancient Nord Armor, has an actual shirt instead of those two... strips of rags, and overall I think it's much better proportioned. Is it possible to extract it for player use? 2. The hairstyles from female Draugr. Can they be extracted for player use? Pictures Armor: There seem to be several kinds of them in fact. The one in the load screen is the one I covet the most but I haven't had it for a long time so I can't produce a better screenshot of it. But I'm sure you know what I mean. There's also the version worn by female Deathlords (usually, in my experience). http://images.uesp.net/1/19/SR-load-Woe_to_the_unwary_explorer.jpg http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/1079527-1367950465.jpg Hairstyle http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/2078474-1323009845.jpg http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/1079527-1361623631.jpg http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/1079527-1361623648.jpg

I think it's the London server. At least, servers in Washington served me well today but London failed.

Take model of the original companions and if you have Fallout 3 practice with it since in Fallout 3 the companions are made much simpler mechanics-wise.

Post Your Companion Ideas
Lawlder replied to simplywayne90's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Name: Private First Class Andy William Wilkins Appearance: Picture Allegiance: The Enclave Backstory How do you meet them? When the player meets him, Wilkins is fighting off a band of thugs who are failing badly. Wilkins offers his assistance, pointing out that the player looks like he can use a professional soldier while Wilkins needs a safe place to stay in. He is very quiet about his past at first - obviously - but begins opening up as the player visits enough places with him (compare to Boone). He is very regretful of what he has done in the past, frustrated knowing nothing of what happened to his friends and family, and hopeless as he alone could never survive a return trip East, now knowing that Navarro was razed to the ground decades ago. How do they fight? Wilkins is an Energy Weapons specialist, and wears his Advanced Power armor Mk.II (aka the "Enclave Power Armor"). In combat he will shout out mostly Enclave combat dialogue, like "Discharging ordinance!" when throwing grenade and "Tango spotted, opening fire!" when engaging enemy. What factions they'd like Wilkins doesn't care who the Courier sides with, but would prefer if the Courier sides with Mr. House. The NCR he resents for their relentless anti-Enclave manhunt (although understand them). The Legion he dismisses completely, when asked about them he simply puts says "they are savages. That's all I need to know" Personality: While restrained at first, Wilkins is generally polite and doesn't really care who he is working with (he won't shoot Raul if he is following you). He does make nasty comments if visiting Super Mutant communities, but he will follow whatever the Courier does. The Courier he respects greatly, and after his personal quest will call the Courier a "teacher" who showed Wilkins there is much more in the world than the dimly lit corridors of Raven Rock. Wilkins is sometimes a bit snarky, and eagerly assists the player if the need ever arises. He is, ultimately, trying to make up for his sins. Personal Quest: Called "We Are Living in America", Wilkins asks the player to make a trip to Boomer territory to pay respects to his fallen comrades. Depending on how the player has treated him so far he will make the decision whether to stay in Vegas and help people with his superior knowledge and skill or to try the return trip to Chicago. The requirement for this quest is alliance or neutralization of the Boomers, of course. Function: Player achieves Trust Points by talking to Wilkins, based on responses to different comments as with vanilla companions. Female players with Black Widow can earn extra points by flirting with him, which almost always short-circuit his brain and make him lose his thought for a while leading to humorous results. If flirted with enough, Wilkins will become much less stressed and more open, earning special dialogue. What you think? I designed him to be an amalgam of Boone, Arcade and Veronica. A trooper of a criminal organization, lot of war crimes on his record, loyal to a dying faction but still hopeful, open to new ideas and willing to change his habits to a better way and doing good to make up at least some of his sins. He may seem like a too harsh person now. I think I'll loosen his morales a little if this catches any air. No fun in having a murderous zealot following you. -
Simple enough. I'd like to make an Enclave duster using My link I can do the pasting myself, but I'm poor at erasing the previous logo. Could use the help.
-
Cheers. The thing is that I don't want them all at once. My main motive is just to get Blood Magic early on, everything else is extra. :) My inner moral compass compels me not to get them all before doing at least half the game. I just don't like waiting all the way to level 16 to get the last spell (which is rather bad IMO)

Learning to Mod using the Toolset
Lawlder replied to Primed58's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
I'm not the one to hijack threads but OP's question was answered and my problem is related: I got a good mic, can open toolset and create a character which are related to my project of creating a new companion, hopefully voiced and lipsynced in the future. I also can do simple dialogues and I'm a good learner. What I don't get is how to merge my mod with vanilla resources? How can I, for example, add vanilla equipment to my custom companion? How to utilize vanilla content in my mod? If you have modded TES or Fallout, I'm sort of having just my plugin activated with no masters, you know what I'm saying? Can create new but can't do anything with it. I open module list, click my module and hit "Hierarchy", check "Single Player" and close window. But nothing happens. Running 1.0 toolset and 1.04 version of game. -
And specializations. I like playing as a blood mage but I'm troubled how I must complete a quarter of the story to reach level 7 and gain the specialization. Now I'd like to have it possible to become a Blood Mage at level 2 or the like. Second specialization could be 14 as usual. Furthermore, a change where talents have no level restrictions. I'm cool with attribute restrictions but I'd like to get all the Blood Mage spells as quickly as possible. I know this'd leave a lot of room for abuse but I'm confident I'd use it for good reasons. I have no interest in overpowering myself. I just want those four BM spells :( Thank you in advance and apologize stupidity if already exists (tried finding it but failed)

Fallout 3 better or worse then New Vegas?
Lawlder replied to oxy21's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
I prefer Fallout 3's story and setting but admit that NV has a thousand times better dialogue. Asking which one is better is total nonsense. The world is not so black and white that everyone must choose only one. I for one started with Fo1 and enjoy all the Fallouts rather equally, sans Tactics and FOBOS. -
However, it's not a tough thing to do to just uncheck the need for the DLC master file be loaded - so be sure you include more than just the master necessity.

Which body mod would you prefer to see first.
Lawlder replied to arcane20's topic in Fallout New Vegas's GECK and Modders
No kid bodies please. While I do not doubt your honorable intentions, The Fallout 3 Nexus already has its fair share of pedo mods... -
Pick your role of the list, record a sample and PM me. :)

http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11587 http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1093022-wiprelz-the-eagle-has-landed-enclave-mq-overhaul/ The Eagle Has Landed is a long living overhaul which replaces the original main quest with a new, Enclave-centric story. Read BGSF thread for full plot info. The mod is pretty much complete in the sense that it can be played from start to finish. However, it still needs to be "perfected" and one major aspect of it is voice acting. I am going to list some crucial roles here, with estimated amount of dialogue needed: 1. Vertibird Pilot, only a few lines, very important. Sample: "We're detecting severe damage to the Vertibird carrying Captain Kaine. We cannot establish communication. Rotors have received red damage!" 2. Lieutenant Johnson, Caucasian, 40-ish, quite a bit of dialogue Sample: "You know why. Controlling the purifier means we control the water. Controlling the water means we can use the FEV." 3. Lucas Kaine, Caucasian, 40-ish, up to 40 lines in total Sample: "We need to take it over to make sure that the Enclave will be the one pushing the button." 4. Chloe Kaine, Caucasian, late 30-ish, around 15 lines in total Sample: "I know, it's quite unexpected but Lieutenant Johnson is head of training and... I guess, it just has to be done." 5. Humbert, slaver, Hispanic, late 20-ish, around 10 lines in total Sample: "What do you want and what's it worth to ya?" 6. Alexander Johnson, around 20 years old, around 40 lines in total Sample: "Take my supplies, I won't be needing them. I'll go report that you're just missing, maybe captured." 7. Enclave Generic, male and female, around 20 short lines in total each. Sample: "The Project is our salvation." 8. Two kid roles, neither of which big ones. That's some. A whole lot of more, so you can ask if there is a role that would fit you. Cheers.

I'm fairly new to the toolset but thankfully I am a quick learner and have so far been successful in creating a recruitable companion and a dialogue for him. However, question is that how am I possible to add him normal, core game inventory resources, and for that matter how to use core game resources in general? In my inventory menus there are only the custom items I've made, and placeable menu is empty. Cheers.
-
What it says in the title. :) Of course opens an incredible chance of exploitation if used to give 100% cut, but I would use this to get 50%-75% cut, to make Blood Magic really worth it like in DA2.
-
New to toolset, don't want to break anything. Question: Is it possible to turn my warrior character into a rogue in toolset? If yes, how would I go with reseting talents?
-
Request: A mod that disables the ~3 second aim pause when using archery talents so you can activate talents just like normal hits, as it is with other weapon classes.

spoiler How can I get Zevran the quickest
Lawlder replied to mondotomhead's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Zevran appears when you solve Connor problem. You don't need to find the ashes, that's a whole another marathon quest.
