  1. I'm thinking about this fan for my GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186048 And this one for the top slot in my case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103072 Only thing is I don't know if they will even work with what I've got...this is the first computer I've ever chosen all the parts for, and I'm not savvy enough about computer parts to know what the hell I'm doing...
  2. I think my video card is overheating, causing my computer to lock up completely to the point where I have to do a forced reset, either by using the button, or pulling the plug. The computer isn't even a year old yet, I bought the parts and had someone put it together for me. I've ruled out most everything else. I've done a stress test recently and the temps on the card kept going up, even at 100% fan speed. So what can I do? I really need some help with this. Operating System MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 CPU AMD Phenom II X4 965 Deneb 45nm Technology RAM 8.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24) Motherboard ASUSTeK Computer INC. M4A79XTD EVO (AM3) Graphics E182H @ 1366x768 AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series Hard Drives 977GB Hitachi - ATA Device (SATA) Audio AMD High Definition Audio Device My video card is sitting at about 40 degrees celsius right now, at 100% fan speed., everything else is also in that range, Hard Drive: 30 - 35 CPU: 40 - 45 Since this is likely a cooling problem, what should I do? I have room in my case for more fans, but should I also replace the fan on the card itself with an aftermarket one? My case: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16811119233 ---- I haven't added any fans, so I have just the ones it came with.
  3. Hey, sorry I haven't been active lately...Star Wars: The Old Republic is eating up my time and I've let Skyrim fall away for some time. Hope the mod is progressing smoothly.
  4. That was a very long post. I will admit, I didn't read it all, but what I did read seems very close to what we have been discussing all ready, somethings might need to be changed/worked around, but overall, good ideas.
  5. 3, 5, and 7 look the most nordic to me. I like the teeth, eyes and claw guard.
  6. Well, we will have to come up with some kind of portal, or something, some means of reaching this place. But instead of it being this "Oh look here is this new portal that I haven't noticed before" perhaps we can come up with a way of actually placing it on the map. We can then travel to this place by ship, maybe even in real-time and have Thalmor attacks on it while we go to this new land. I say Thalmor attacks because I doubt they want this alliance to come to pass.
  7. By partial I mean I prefer the version with the eye more then the one with out. To make it feel more nordic, I'd say you'd have to change those blocks on the top and bottom of the handle, maybe put some different carvings in there? Perhaps a sculpted version of Alduin's Wall. Perhaps even take some Celtic inspiration for it, as every time I look for Nordic artwork, I get Celtic influences, I found at least one good image of a Dragon while looking: http://www.etsy.com/listing/60298812/celtic-dragon-art-print It seems to me, in Nordic art, there aren't many solid undecorated carvings, which is what gives off the Aztecian feel, an uncarved block. A design to break it up might get rid of that feeling. Maybe keep the blocks for those who enjoy the current look of the handle. But for me, as long as it's got a dragon head, I want it.
  8. Looks good either way, though I'm partial to the eye version.
  9. Well, going by the topic title, as well as the first post, it's meant to be from the game. Either way, once the copyright issue is resolved it will either die, or be made (hopefully) As I would love to see Morrowind again, but in Skyrims timeline.
  10. It's just my opinion. It's your design, Perhaps draw some inspiration from actual Norse art? Or even look at some of the carvings in-game and see how they look and draw inspiration from that.
  11. How about we just put this debate about copyrights to rest and send messages to ZeniMax and Bethesda and ask them "If I recreate Morrowind using models myself and others have made will you deem it illegal?"
  12. Yeah, I'm talking about the blocky parts, it just gave me the feel of an Aztecian carving instead of a nordic one. But like I said, it's probably just me.
  13. I like it, but for some reason I'm still getting that Aztec/Mayan feel to it. It just looks like carvings from them because of the way the blocks look. But that's probably just me. No matter how the final product turns out, it still looks great.
  14. Well, in my idea which is a few posts up, it would cost an initial 150k for the land, followed by another 150k for all the upgrades, workers, builders, etc. Then I had another idea, maybe another few thousand (2k - 5k) for upkeep, to keep the place in good repair.
  15. Views change all the time. It's how we go about that change that really matters. When the Dragonguard was created, we have to remember, it was created by the Tsaesci, the Vampiric Serpents of Akavir, who wanted nothing more then to enslave or kill all dragons. Maybe putting that into perspective would be good. That the Blades as a whole, were a faction that hated dragons, just because they were there, now don't hate me for this, but it's the same with the Thalmor, they hate the other races for simply existing, it has nothing more to do with anything but a blind hate, much like Delphine when it comes to Dragons. The Blades were a faction founded on blind hate of a race they could not, would not understand. As for this line, it could be changed to suit when we go this route: I believe the purpose for which the Blades have been founded will be accomplished by this (wo)man here at this very table, but until that time has come we must do our sworn duty as Blades. (Before Alduin's defeat)
  16. I've left some comments on the document, I don't know if they will show up, it's pretty much all simple changes to the wording of some things, they were the only errors I could find when reading through it. It does seem she gave up a little easily, but we have to remember, what she puts out, might not be how she really feels. She might be glad that they have a new purpose, she just might not be able to show it.
  17. Aokami, to be honest, your idea is all over the place, it's hard to separate what you are trying to convey. What I got from it is that you want the Blades to be the end-all faction, pretty much wiping the others out of existence, right? If this is what you want, I can tell you now, that the Reforging of the Blades mod won't be going this route, that's focusing solely on the Blades, it won't mess with anything in the Vanilla game other then relations with Dragons and the Greybeards. If this isn't your idea, and would like to get it across, could you put them in some kind of order? As it is now, I have no real clue on what you are saying, and it's likely just a language barrier.
  18. First, the tongue is blocking some of the runes on the blade. Then the face seems a bit, I don't know, blocky, like instead of being painstakingly carved, it was simply pressed into existence if that makes any sense. It might just be the way the pattern looks, with the breaks in-between. Something a bit closer to number 3 in your drawings seems to look better from my perspective. More angular, less of a rounded feel.
  19. We could put her in charge of finances. She did run an Inn for all these years after all. So she's had to manage her money well, to keep from drawing too much attention to herself. I've also found another Blade (or former blade depending on how you look at it). He's a resident at the Nightgate Inn. It's a location used in a Dark Brotherhood quest, but it's somewhere around Snow Veil Sanctum, it's hard to give directions to this place without the map, so I hope someone can do better. Anyway, when attempting to pick this guys pocket I noticed the Blades Sword he had equipped, so I assume he's a Blade in hiding that hasn't been found by the Thalmor, or a mean trick by Bethesda...either way, if this guy is a Blade (or we could simply write a backstory for him, give him a bit of a friendship/relationship with Delphine it could tie in nicely. As far as I know, he's not used in any quests, so it might be a blank slate, if he is used in a quest, simply nix this idea.
  20. After killing Paarthurnax and his body vanishing in the patch I had to make a new copy of him, but even with it, the Greybeards still hated me, so I simply reset the quest, then used the setstage command to set the quest as finished without it really being finished so both factions will like me. Ran into a bug with my way though, as Paarthurnax no longer lands like he's supposed to, so I have to use the setfavorstate command so I can control him like a companion until I tab out of that menu. I force him to land so I can talk to him if I ever want to change my shout meditation, but he doesn't stay for long.
  21. Could someone model and texture an armor made specifically for Argonians? In reading some lore about Argonians I read that Hist Sap could be carved into an Armor, so that's what I'd like, maybe even a quest that when started would require you to go to the Kajiit Caravans to procure hardened Hist Sap so you can carve armor from it. http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Hist http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Argonian
  22. Maybe we could make a system where if you trap a grand soul, and you only have Greater and lesser soul gems it fills those up to the amount of a grand soul so as to not waste anything. But onto your issue, it's likely soul trap works differently for followers then it does for the player.
  23. Thanks. As for the Dragon Skeletons remaining in world after death, it's possible, but the problem might be that it would likely make all dragon skeletons permanent. It also poses a problem for those who have all ready killed these named dragons and their skeletons have vanished from the world. I'm sure we could have a work around where we place an exact copy of these dragons in the world, but we'd have to make sure that they don't show up unless the other version of it is all ready dead. I'm not much of a scripter, so I don't even know if there is a script function to use to see if an NPC is in the world or not. Edit: Looks good, it fits too. Even the anger from Delphine seems like it would fit. Good job. The options when Delphine asks why do you want to fight the Thalmor, an option of saying something like All of the above would be good. When we do the Dragon Ally quests, perhaps we could find a way to give ourselves a Dragon name? It could be said it would give the Dragons more respect for taking the name of a true Dovah, we could also explain to the Blades about what it truly means to be Dragonborn. To me, being Dragonborn means I am Dovah in everything but form. I get this from conversations with Paarthurnax, when talking about the Player and Dragons he's always using "We".
  24. I'd say they have a dual purpose, first and foremost, to serve and protect the Dragonborn, the other purpose is to banish evil that threatens the world with destruction. We can change who they are, when it comes to Dragons, because in the past I don't think they had much of a choice in the matter, but now they do. But as for the rest? I don't know, we'd have to see where the story we forge takes us. I like the Oath Kohdi has come up with, when I read it I felt a chill run down my spine. It sounds noble, dignified, something that should and will last throughout the ages. As for changing some words to fit a group, not many need to be changed, all that it needs is an S for Initiate, and it'll be fine. The "I"s can stay, but they'd have to be said in unison when giving the oath. Something like Bethesda did with the music. I can't read what you've written Jibsta because I don't have word, so I'll be in the dark about that. Perhaps post it on the sourceforge forum?
  25. I did mention how it might come to pass if we did do it that way, we'd use the resurrection shout Alduin used on the other dragons, it would release his soul from us (reverse soul absorb animation) back into his body, if his body no longer existed, it would force him to reform as a spectral dragon. My first post on the matter was much more elaborate, but I've repeated myself so many times the lines are getting blurry with each new post about it, I refine the idea, I change it, it's getting confusing for me, so refer to my previous posts for the whole picture. The quest in Oblivion, where we go to Sancre Tor is an example of this. In the dungeon, we fight former Blades who were corrupted by a dark power, when we defeated them the regained their minds and formed as ghosts. So something like this might work, a soul, being reborn through the fires of battle, absolved of their past crimes to live or die again on their own terms.
