  1. Both Unweighting, and deleting the bones in Blender have both resulted in a CTD anytime I entered the area with the new skeleton. :c

I tried to copy-paste branches in nifskope, but one decides it wants to be all wonky, and point upward instead. I don't know why it does that, nor how to change it. I think this is hopeless. u_u

  2. Specifically, I am trying to use a shirt that requires BBB on a non-standard skeleton. (Human torso, spider daedra lower half). I need to know if there is a way to purge the BBB breast bone data from the clothing, (When I try to delete the bones in nifskope, the mesh looks like it is melting) or if somehow fusing the BBB skeleton with the spider daedra skeleton would solve my problem. If the latter is the only solution, how would I go about doing that? I have Blender, but need specifics on import/export settings.
  3. Please I would like that mod Yamcakes  Yay!

Okie dokies, I am going to go test it now.

Here it is, and here's a screenshot. Bit of clipping on the horizon. I really like the idea of changing the sky. I think I might work on a custom climate altogether. I've been thinking of using the ordered shivering isles climate, and have oblivion realms be very sombre, with greys and blacks.

Wow, that photo is amazing! I don't know if you edited it but i expected a more bland looking tamrielic sky and am pleasantly surprised. Thank you so much!

No edits there. Despite how much I wanted to. :P

That's the camoran paradise sky, and some oblivion worlds use different skies. But for the most part it's that one. Let me know if you experience any problems, and I'm always happy to help.

  5. About the "tamriel" sky in the oblivion planes: If you have midas magic, there is a "summon oblivion gate" spell. If you go through there, you will get to an Oblivion plane with normal tamriel sky.

I don't know if that'd work (thank you for that though, didn't know about that option!). That is what I want, a Tamriel sky in oblivion, but what i'm looking to do is the main quest line of the game which involves going through oblivion gates that open up around the landscape of Cyrodiil so I don't think i'd be able to open my own gate to close those gates.

I have completed the game before and can't stand to do it again with the same red sky. When I did it the first time it was an eyesore (my opinion, though neat as the deadlands are! All that constant red on my eyes is hard.) and I just wanted to get the "going through gates" over with the first time because of the red sky and environment. Originally I was simply going to bypass the whole main storyline this time and ignore it.. however i've done all the others by now and it is the only thing left, I would like to do it again, just without the sky.

It's actually really easy to edit. There's a dropdown menu of climates for each worldspace, that's what the sky is determined by. It wouldn't be lore-breaking if you used the Camoran Paradise or Shivering isles climates! But alas, I need to head out for the day, and have stuff to work on when I get home. If you don't find the mod by then I shall make it for you.

  6. If you're just trying to get them to do simple things like fight alongside you, follow you, access their inventory, etc. You may want to try Companion Share and Recruit.

You can absolutely recruit any NPC in the game, even if they have they don't have a single AI package. (ie, a clone via the "createfullactorcopy" console command) and give them commands via a dialogue menu similar to CM's, without the hassle of the construction set. You can dismiss them at any time, and they return to their AI packages however busy (or empty) they may be.

  7. The Construction Set is a great thing to learn. With it, I've been able to map textures, head and ear meshes from various mods, or of my own creation to the vanilla races. (Elves, Bretons, Nords and Redguards all used the same texture! I hated that) Even messed around with the racial face values so they look a ton better. I also omitted the folder with the NPC-specific faces from loading via the archiveinvalidation, so I'm free to facegen NPC's without any skin issues.

It really improves the experience for the rare times I am actually playing the game.

If you want to throw together a list of mods you'd like to pull textures from to replace vanilla races, or perhaps want something I have, drop me a PM with them and if I have time, I can help you out.

There is also a handy script you can use in a mod for OBSE, that lets NPCs recognize a non-vanilla race as a particular vanilla race, if that would satisfy you instead. (They will greet and insult you accordingly, and you can proceed with any race related quests.)

  8. Where can I find a hairstyle like this one? It would also be nice if there were any earings like that but I doubt it.

Please remember that this is a thread for locating mods that already certainly exist. (ie. you have seen it in a screenshot, read a review, used to use it, but lost track of the name.) A question like this does not belong in this thread.

If there is a mod you are looking for and you have never seen any evidence for it, you can try posting a thread in this nifty forum here.

    http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/forum/266-oblivion-mod-requests/

Not only will the helpful people there point you in the direction of similar mods, but someone may even create it for you if they choose! There are a lot of experienced modders there that bring ideas to fruition.

  9. Anyone know a mod where I can get a hairstyle closest to this one?

    Hmm...Joanne Kelly? :)

This mod has a curly hairstyle similar to hers but it's not very high quality http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15353

    @KJKirimi

Sorry to hear that you are sick and that you have to take such insolence from me  . That was a good explanation I can relate to. I don't really put the same value in mods like you do but I respect that not all people have the same opinion. To me they are just temporary enjoyment that will be replaced or deleted in the future. Especially when Skyrim is released.

How to make a black retexture? In this case it's really easy but you need Photoshop with DDS plugin. Open the textures one by one, go to Image > Adjustment > Hue/Saturation and select red. Then pull the Lightness slider all the way to the left. Save as DXT1.

That's true, but for the one I made, I used an entirely different fabric for it. I also added some faux-lace detail. The rest of the retextures are a compilation of retextures for the original outfit that I simply converted to work for Oblivion.

@Kjkirimi, that although I worked on the black one for your tastes, it is still part of the package I make available to anyone who is searching for it, and free to share. It was the purple/black/blue Grande Espada Gown (The one that had your name on the ribbons) that was exclusively for you and that I removed the DL link for.

  10. The black retexture of Lady Elegance it was a gift for me. And I won't share it.

This type of comment is actually quite stupid. What if someone approaches you on the street and asks if you can spare some change and you reply "Sure, I have a lot of change but I won't give it to you" It's better to say that you don't have any.

Just because of this I will make a black retexture of that dress and maybe upload it(if I get permission). Then your little texture can rot somewhere on your harddrive. Of course you don't have to share but it doesn't hurt unless it's ripped content.

As a matter of fact, it is ripped content. It's an outfit called Sugar, from Poser. Edit: Also, your post was a tad hypocritical.

  11. I remember having a mod a few years ago, where there were two orc/ogre races added. One was male only, and one was female only. The female was pink, had a human-esque head, and custom curved teeth and piercings. The male was blue I think. Orc head. Also had custom teeth. I've tried the search for both orc and ogre, and google is also not helping. Anyone remember this mod?

I remember this very vaguely. I'm not too sure if I saw it on tesnexus...

Can you add more details if you can to, jog my memory?

How many years ago you saw this file?

I don't recall a female orc being pink. But I do recall an Agorian Race for M/F has an orc head which was somewhat pink.

Back in the day, I was hunting for Orc with human like heads.

The Ogre I somewhat remember but, I didn't like the quality so I passed on it.

It hit me in a dream to try other words like trolls or goblins. Found it upon searching for trolls. Not sure why I thought the females were pink, maybe I had retex''d them myself at the time. I'm just interested in the teeth and ears, I have a new character in-mind.

This is where I found it. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20082

  12. Are there any mods that make is to rich people have something worth pick-pocketing, or their houses have something more valuable than middle-class clothing and a spool of yarn? Alternatively, a mod that makes it so stealing their silverware is actually worth the effort would have the same effect.

This is a thread for locating mods you already know exist. (ie: You've seen it in a screenshot, read a review about it, used it before but can't find it again.)

Incidentally, most overhauls like OOO, and Francesco's re-price a lot of vanilla items, so things like silverware and gems become a lot more expensive.

    EDIT:

I'm also looking for some help:

I remember having a mod a few years ago, where there were two orc/ogre races added. One was male only, and one was female only. The female was pink, had a human-esque head, and custom curved teeth and piercings. The male was blue I think. Orc head. Also had custom teeth. 13. Those heads aren't ugly. I think they are very accurate of a Xivilai. I don't remember there being any F-INev face textures for Xivilai in that package. If you want to use the Dark Elf head textures, or Dremora, you will have to assign those to the race yourself via the construction set. Neither of those heads are the same textures as the bodies, so there will be a noticeable difference in colour.
