  1. The game worked fine so far till I tried to defend a castle against an army. Clicking or the castle or on the actually army doesn't make a difference. Any ideas? (I can't upload the file for some reason so here is a link) https://chivalroushigh.htmlpasta.com/#

  3. You can use Convenient Horses, INIGO and Amazing Follower Tweaks (though I prefer the immersive version) as long as you disable the horse and teleport on draw options.
  4. 2 things I can think of: 1) Try to configure the paths again at settings 2) Are you sure the plugins are activated with a tick to the left?

Update: I ported everything to Mod Organiser 2.1.1 , I configured everything and done everything supposedly correct(running fnis and Wrye Bash and make the overwrite files a mod etc etc) so I am out of ideas. Any help is greatly appreciated Update 1: Solved! For some reason any bashed, Smash or xEdit patch I used caused me to CTD. BUT I managed to solve it by removing the default generated bash patch,0 from the Data Folder manually. I dunno why that was causing the problem since it was supposed to be overwritten, neither why Smash or xEdit merged patches caused CTD as well with bashed patch inactive. At least now it works ^_^
  6. Hello there fellow modders! I just recently started dusting SSE and I decided to mod it using Vortex. I had some problems here and there especially with RS children but nothing too big. Anyway I used Loot and Wrye Bash to make a patch but I am having a CTD on startup. I don't use ENB, got everything updated. I had similar problems with Fallout 4 so I believe it is the load order, if you can give me a tip on how to set mine I would be really grateful!!! My Load order is : https://pastebin.com/1aQUehSg

  8. Well the way I do it is I have a profile that is purely vanilla then I have one for Horizon, one for Frost Survival and one that I hard-core mess with. You can do all this things at the Profile menu tab to the left, press on Profiles then somewhere in Vortex should say Add Fallout 4 profile, so you can add multiply profiles. I love this system. Make sure to back up your plugins and loadorder txt located at C:\Users\Me\AppData\Local\Fallout4 just in case
  9. I just want to put my 2 cents here, I am a super noob modder and not a programmer so take my word for what it is. I love Vortex so far, it is amazing, fast. The profiling system actually WORKS which is very usefull to me! My only problem was (and is) load order management. I was able to work it around by editing manually the plugins.txt at C:\Users\Me\AppData\Local\Fallout4 But that wasn't enough since I needed to edit loadorder.txt as well generated by vortex again placed at C:\Users\Me\AppData\Local\Fallout4 I had numerous problems because of how messed the loadorder.txt was even with dependencies applied by me(which was a huge hassle for a huge load order like mine). It didn't even load all the esps and esls and I was hitting my way at the wall thinking that I did something wrong after having a CTD everytime I loaded my game. I almost gave up on modding in general and the game too, seriously. I figured that the load order was messed up after trying to merge some esps using merge plugins, it usually loads the plugins.txt but apparently it prioritized the loadorder.txt after all which I didn't know and I found the source of my problems. Now I can enjoy the game again. What I want to say is, since the 1 click installation for every single mod is not fully factional atm (because more data is needed to be gathered by all users so it can actually happen one day) it is useful to have an optional loadorder manual management. Though I don't personally mind since I found this workaround, maybe people can do the same for themselves till it all works out. Again thank you all for your amazing work!

  11. Oh I haven't downloaded the newer version of vortex, I thought that it was updating automaticly ( I set update settings on Stable so maybe thats why) We just need to wait for modders to fix their buttons now ^_^

  14. Well the way I finally managed to short my load order is by removing the autoshorting future and manually editing the plugins.txt file. Thank god I had a backup load order saved lol ^_^

Hey all, thank you all for your pointers, very helpfull indeed! a) No I haven't made a bug report yet but I will make sure to do so soon. b) I have it automated and I see the notification of the deployment at the top right of the screen. The mods I try to install and load have to do with Sim Settlement Add Ons (some install correctly though, the ones that don't are from this amazing moders job https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/users/30795610?tab=user+files c) It is not a Fomod, it is just a plain plugin. d) I see, but the mod index doesn't allow me to see the total number of active plug-ins so I can see if I can install more mods or not. regarding F4SE I followed HadToRegister suggestion and fixed it for me. Thank you! Something very weird btw I applied to short the plugins via index and suddenly the plugins in question appeared in disabled status, previously I had the short plugins by load order. Neither with named search nor manual scrolling down would reveal them before. EDIT: It appears that mods that are based on FOMOD during the import need to be reinstalled otherwise they don't work at all, or so it seems atm.
  16. So I have tried to move my heavily modded game Fallout 4 to Vortex with the import from Nexus. That didn't work so well to say the least. I ended up manually reinstall my mods (500+mods btw) Anyway I found that some plugins regardless if I re-download them and reinstalling them replacing the old mods transfered from the import will not show plugins anywhere, I tried everything. The load order is a mess but ok I say since I manually handle the conflicts that should be no problem. But the problem is that it counts in the numbers of the load order disabled plugins and ESL files. Also how can I make Vortex launch F4SE and also have the steamoverlay enalbed? Ty for your amazing work in this, I hope we can all contribute to make this an amazing mod tool which is so much needed from the Mod Community!
  17. I also have the same issue, I have multiply installation of my games(after messing up too much lol), one vanilla clean, one for modded playthrough and one for mod trials. I was able to manage the game pathing with NMM with ease but it seems like a huge hassle with Vortex. I can't seem to find a manual way to remove a managed game and make it recognize it from somewhere else, even though I do a Search Games removing the disk path entirely of the ones I want Vortex to ignore.
  18. Yeah I have been looking exactly for something similar, I use live dismemberment and my settlers are often walking around with 1 arm and the other is just a floating skeleton arm ruining immersion. We seriously need this lol We also need head decals that actually work. that would be awesome!
  19. Hey bro! Sorry for the delay in replying. I was using 1.10.50 version of the exe before it updates itself to 1.10.64 . I will check the thread you provided and see if I can make things working again. Thank you for your support in this!

Yeah I am a Bethesda freak what can I say lol I still got my Purified Water bottle from 2008 convention fair in Leipzig :P I used to have it in offline mode but at some point I wanted to check the integrity of the files for any problems but that was a huge mistake from my part since I forgot that this would also mean an update. Yeah the -0 at esps is for inactive plugins which I keep though to keep a track of my merges and to revert in changes if I find a bug in my playthrough. How can I roll-back the Fallout4.exe to previous versions? Would that be enough since the update modifies more files than just the .exe? Thanks for your time!

So I had everything set up amazingly in the previous version of the game which took me quite a huge amount of time to figure and then steam decided that I needed to force update my game, which then f*#@ed my mod setup. I updated the F4SE, Autoswitch, MCM, LooksMenu and Transfer Settlements as it nugged me to update them as well when I tried to start the game, still I got CTD.
