  1. This isn't about/for Oblivion this is a Skyrim thread...go to the morrowind area for this stuff or search for morrowind console commands on google, but I don't recall there being such a thing for morrowind I don't think. It's been a long time though.
  2. In response to post #39665590. Yes, it's been available for a while.
  3. A d3d9.dll is a dll file from DirectX 9, which is made by Microsoft and Direct X in general is commonly used by games. (There is currently up to Direct X 11.1 (Windows 7+)). So yes it is safe. At very least for certain if you install direct x from Microsoft, third party sites can vary.
  4. In response to post #8170393. #8426699, #8846659 are all replies on the same post. The site might of been valid when posted but domain name clearly has sense expired and was never renewed. Its pretty normal for expired domains to be directed to ad crap.
  5. The site is no longer around (domain name expired) which is why people are getting redirected to ad crap.
  6. Well if your looking for a landscape to use I think Moo Cow (aka Gerald)'s Europe-like landscape would be good. Its not on the nexus but it is on planetelderscrolls: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=2404 It will need plant and animal-life of course.
  7. I'm suprise the japanese modders haven't done this already, but I think it would be awesome if someone turned Moo Cow's "Mehrunes Wake Landscape" into a Japanese region with some small japanese villages (and maybe 1 large city). Its nice multi-island region and moo-cow even provides a esp with plants/rocks and such already there, though some are elevated off thr ground and would require adjusting but makes for a great start. I would do it myself but I'm not famlair enough with japanese style decorating to do anything from scratch that would be of any good. but here is the landscape link for those who might be interested; Mehrunes Wake Landscape: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/14667/
  8. Yes because they certainly couldn't just go in and toss it all into a container and put in the testing area. :P
  9. Sorry to necromance but its new info for this. For those still looking to craft scrap metal and even (through process) from tin cans the answer is here: http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15326 - CRAFT - Clutter Conversion System, break clutter down into components and use the components to make other stuff, includes Straightening Tin Cans and breaking Tin Cans (Straightened) into metal, then using that metal to make Scrap Metal (or other things), it even goes way beyond that, cleaning dirty clothing, making metal armor, Plate Armoring some clothing and more!
  10. I was wanting to try this out, just one question, who are the authors and what is their email address?
  11. I guess, Its just that its so common...
  12. I didn't know where else to place this as its a note to all modders. Please uniquely name your readme files. E.g. SampleMod_Readme, SM_Readme, etc. Why because your mod isn't the only mod in existence for the game and odds are its not going to be the only one. And no os will do a series of the same named file in the same folder, it can't. Ultimately it will force the downloader to either rename itself, replace the current existing readme file, or ignore the file altogether. For Mod mangers like the Nexus Mod Manager it will simply give you the choice of replacing or ignoring the file when activating a mod. I at times often have to either hunt for the download file and extract the readme of a mod, and rename it, or goodness forbid re-download the entire darn thing (incases where it gets deleted). Its not asking a lot from modders, but if all modders did this, it would save users quite a headache (especially if they use many mods)
  13. Yea if only if it were to be pulled off. Though a correction, you would have water breathing sense the mobs certainly do, as I think they have gills. The rads would probably be what will limit your time in the water. Note: Picturing a Mirelurk King in casual pre-war clothing. Amusing, a Mirelurk Hunter would be more amusing but clearly have limitations sadly.
  14. I was wondering if there are any alternatives to the GECK editor for fallout 3 or am I stuck with that unstable piece of garbage? ...Wish they at least open-sourced the editor so people could improve upon it after they stop all work on it.
  15. I thought it would be awesome to be able to play as a Mirelurk. I dunno if anyone would be able to somehow translate the creature stuff into a race. If someone could do that, I could take it from their if they didn't want to go past that with the work. As a race I was think very high rad resistance so they can swim in water with only +1 rad accumulation and they lose rads over time. Breath time in minutes instead of 10 seconds. 5-10 min maybe. Non-Territorial animals won't mess with you from the start. Other Mirelurks are question sense on one hand they are territorial, but not sure if this would really extent to mirelurks from over groups. Would probably make them as allies sense you would probably have fewer friends as a mirelurk anyway. Probably have a -50 disposition with other races and most factions not essential to main quest would probably be enemies. The Foreseen Problems. Of course there is that issue of the pipboy and weapon and armor equips. It would seem the only sensible Mirelurk to play as would be a adjusted Mirelurk King. And of course your "dad" would be a Mirelurk King too. (The mother apparently was into bestiality it would seem XD) Possible RP: Your a evolved Mirelurk King (either newly risen from natural selection or perhaps a genetic experiment or perhaps your just the offspring of a Genetically enhanced Mirelurk King?), more intelligent and capable of human speech. And while your highly resistant to Radiation and rad dissipates over time, Can hold you breath much longer, and move amongst other mirelurks (still seen as kin by them). Your ability to communicate is still a bit less then that of a human (-10 to speech, -10 Barter, -2 to charisma). Side note I find it odd that the Mirelurk Faction is ally and friend with many other creature factions despite them supposedly being territorial. A mod could change that I suppose but for race a race specific faction would be made with the proper adjustments so that it wouldn't conflict with any other mod that mods the MirelurkFaction.
  16. +1 to prensa post. If you want Geck to save the mod in the fallout 3 directory you will have to run Geck with administrative privileges. Right-Click the Geck shortcut and select "Run as administrator" additionally to save yourself time you can set it to run as administrator by default by right-clicking the Geck shortcut, selecting properties and checking the "Run this program as an administrator" under the compatibility tab. Do note you will have to at least either be on a administrator account or at least know one's password (if on a limited account). Of course you would still need admin privileges to move the mods from your local directory into Fallout3's folder. Then of course there is using admin to drop the protection of the fallout3 folder, not recommend sense while it would remove the need for all that you essentially make the fallout 3 folder vulnerable to any program both stuff you put on, as well as stuff you might not be aware is on.
  17. Thanks very much! I considered that possibility with additem, but the whole HD01NukaMachineRef before it kinda confused me. Guessing its a outdated script?
  18. I'm trying to do a generic version of the Player Nuka Cola machine so that it can be added multiple places and still work locally is there anyway for a script to generically add items to a activated item? Instead of having to create a script for each item?
  19. Either way works. If you want the challenge start a new game with FWE. My main beef with FWE is that you can't adjust its setting while in vault101, which sucks sense you can't set drinks/water to heal like vanilla until you exit vault101 and get your FWE Control panel item. So if you start a new and go the normal vault101 start option keep in mind water will not heal you and may wish to use the gun early on to avoid as much damage as possible sense there are few stimpacks.
