  1. Well if we're going by old TES rules that would be a sorcerer: a mage who wears heavy armor but doesn't use any physical weapons.
  2. Sorry about my fail-maths. Despite the animation, it appears that Dragonhide can be dual-cast for a total time of 99 sec. Base: 30s Stab: 45s Dual Cast: 66s Stab+DC: 99s (45s [from Stab] * 2.2 = 99) http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim_talk:Alteration#Mage_armor_perk_.2B_Master_spell_Dragonhide 2nd-to-last paragraph under that section reads; Dragonhide also cannot be cast while moving, has a long cast time, and can be inerupted. It essentially armor caps the player. Because its duration is so short and its clunky to use, I use ebonflesh 90% of the time at 52 on master. Note in the spell calculations that it CAN be dual casted, despite the misleading animations. When holding both spell casting buttons, Dragonhide jumps to 99 seconds with stability perk. Someone please confirm or deny this, as I've never heard of anyone being able to dual-cast master-level spells, and I just started over on my mage.
  3. Can I extend the duration of dragonhide with fortify alteration potions? Most likely, I've never tried since I've never focused on alchemy.I'm almost certain you can though, I would be quite surprised if you couldn't.
  4. You can't dual-cast dragonhide, you can't dual-cast any master spell because the master spells take up both hands. Also, stability only increases the duration of alteration spells by 50%, not 100%, the max duration for dragonhide is 45 seconds.
  5. What did you think this is, Fable?Being able to learn every perk without cheats would be overpowered, heck you can already be overpowered and that's with limited perks.Being able to learn everything would make your choices in character development essentially pointless, since everything would get maxed out anyways. This way, you have encouragement to replay the game and you have consequences and benefits for choosing different perks and stats.
  6. I love 'em, they no longer look like Imperials with pointy ears, they have their own identity now.
  7. How come "Smile and wave at my kin" isn't an option?
  8. In my experience the best method to level Alteration is to cast Waterbreathing while standing in shallow water.
  9. No numchuck I don't think Alessia is even mentioned in the main quest. But Alessia was the first one blessed by Akatosh and therefore the first to be able to light the dragonfires which makes her the first Dragonborn.
  10. I tried that on Mjoll, but she was essential.
  11. Yeah. No. Rubbish. Women are NOT "weaker". There's a LOT more involved with how someone is physically built than just hormone levels. Believe me, I've actually studied biology in depth. Plus we've got fantasy races here, like Orcs and Nords and Khajiits and Argonians, who differ considerably from "humans". And like I said, the protagonist IS NOT necessarily a warrior at all - they can just as well be a mage or a stealth rogue. But this isn't something I want to debate and that is not what my post was about. My post was about whether or not there has ever been another female Dragonborn in TES lore because it's something I really want to know. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Dovahkiin So not only has there been a female Dragonborn, but the very first one was female.
  12. If you're still using Flames by level 8 then your problem is that you need to upgrade your spells, preferably to Firebolt or Ice Spike. Also you should stick to robes as armor doesn't matter much too a mage since you should be investing most of your points into magicka anyways.
  13. Really annoying too, they should have made them essential.I didn't pay 1000 gold for a mount just so it could get eaten by a dragon.
  14. The reason they made the dungeons brighter in Skyrim is because they wanted to show off their much better dungeon designs and diversity.
  15. I didn't think it was a bad thing, sorry if it came across that way. No problem, I probably should've added this smiley to the end  , it makes everything better. What I meant was, I think it's going to be a good preview because it's taking a long time, things that are done well take time to make.
  16. As he said, it's been a busy month. I think that's true for pretty much everyone, especially the folks over at Bethesda! So, let's give them all a break, eh? Why are you speaking as if what I said was a bad thing? What I said was positive.
  17. Considering how long it's taken, this must be the preview to end all previews.
  18. I would hope that there are more daedra besides the atronach in the game. But I haven't heard anything about it or any of the previewers running into any.I have seen what I thought was concept art of a Spider Daedra, but that was very early on in the marketing campaign, before the official trailer was released I think.
  19. Am I the only one who's getting a weird message when trying to load this page? All I get is a page that says this: **Article Headline** **COPY** Edit: Nevermind, my internet seems to be frakking with me on purpose.
  20. The second video was awesome, especially the music.Kudos to you, my good man!
  21. The anvil with the giant eagle statue is what I believe is called the Skyforge, which is either in Whiterun or near it.
  22. It does look better, but it still looks kind of silly. There was no sense of impact when he hit the ground and his arms kind of spread out as he's falling which also looked kind of weird in my opinion. But better. Yes, absolutely. I think he means the waterfalls, the first screen released of Skyrim showed Markarth with waterfalls behind it.
