Most Difficult Dark Brotherhood Quest
DagonTheranis replied to Facebag's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
I had a lot of trouble with "The assassinated man" as well. Mainly because I kept accidentally hitting the hitman with the blade. -
A Gem store would be good. I would so love to swim in gems like Scrooge.

Back to Gore. I think that they shouldn't go all gory. That sort of thing should be saved for the Fallout games. Oblivion is touted as a fantasy game, and as such making it go all hack 'n' slash would be a drastic departure. However, I do support the idea of limb crippling, like in F3, in the next Elder Scrolls game.

I think the last one can be done with the Feng Shui, or something similar, mod.

This is probably a common bug caused by the end of "Umaril the Unfeathered". It just still registers your pc as sitting down. Just hit whatever you normally do to get off the chair and it should give you the ability to move back. However, if that doesn't work, use enableplayercontrols.

If you were to live in a video game world, which one would you live in
DagonTheranis replied to antonkr's topic in Off-Topic
If I wanted fun, either of the Just Cause universes. Otherwise, it has to be either Ratchet and Clank or the Jak and Daxter games' universe. -
It should be TG11, not TG1 1. If that doesn't work, try TG 11.

Has the game glitched out in your favor?

May I ask what mod you use to make your HUD appear like that? -
Quick question about Japanese mods
DagonTheranis replied to SilusCrow's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
I don't think pedophilia is OK anywhere. Now, don't shoot me for saying this, but I actually think American dislike of the Japanese may be rooted in WWII. The Japanese commited horrible atrocities then, like Pearl Harbour, and the American veterans, most of whom still live, have passed their memories of the Japanese to their children, giving them views of the Japanese which are now false. Bit of a long explanation such such a simple question :P. -
Leave Slof out of this. She's a brilliant, if somewhat alternative, modder. She's also a moderator here, so doing stuff like this is not going to get you any sympathy in later times. Anyways, as said before, OB is rated M, and previously 15. The first thing is anyone who is at that age should be able to handle this sort of content without being traumatised. The second is that many of these mods have very specific names. To use your original example, you would have to include the word "bondage" in your search to find that. This means that someone would have to be specifically searching to find that mod, as as far as I know the Nexus has no random file button. Also, the reason the sims stuff is separated from the main site is it's not legal in some places to directly link a game lower that an M or equivalent age rating to sexual content. The sims is either PG or 12.

It would still be far to many people. I do think that whodunit was a brilliant quest, but your goals just aren't realistic. Maybe if there were 25 or 30 people, but not a chance if you have 100.

Enemies killing each other
DagonTheranis replied to Genzel's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Setting Agression at 100 means they will attack anyone, regardless of their disposition towards them. Lower their agression, but give the faction a disposition boost towards them and a disposition penalty towards the player. -
What is wrong with this script?
DagonTheranis replied to Imrinfected's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
I wonder if there's a way to find the script that OB runs for a shield breaking normally. -

can someone suggest me the biggest castle mod?
DagonTheranis replied to xxfmanxx's topic in Oblivion's Mod Ideas
I've never tried Glenvar, but I know it's big. Adaman is as well, but there are no voices. Hoarfrost is nice, but it's not exactly huge, but it does have an intricate questline. -
Well then, you're in.
-
You don't have to ask if you just want to contribute. You only have to ask me if you want to do voices for specific roles. So, does anyone know of a few people with the ability to put the voice files into the game?
-
You evil man, Lhammonds.
-
That's one of the reasons why I'm going to need dedicated voice actors, Vagrant. They will need to record a LOT of dialogue. However, I plan to make about 5 extra voices for each race. Also, everyone involved in a main branch of quests or with a unique voice will be left alone. I don't want PMs asking me if you can be Lucien Lachance, Jauffre, Martin, Baurus, Modreyn Oreyn, The Gray Fox or Hannibal Traven. However, if you want to make a character specific voice for anyone else, then it's fine. No SI NPCs at the moment, though.
-
As long as you've got decent recording equipment (this includes a GH mike, as that's what I use), I don't mind what your voice sounds like. Are you in, Kieran?
-
Now, I'm sure most of you have by now tired of the repetitive nature of Oblivion's voice. Every time you hear an NPC speak, you think "Did Bethesda only hire five voice actors or something?". What I hope to do with this mod is remedy that. Better Voices aims to replace a fair amount of the Voices for Vanilla Oblivion. Not so many that you would never hear the original voices, but enough that they are nowhere near as common. What we shall need for this mod is simple: Two or three people capable of editing the voice files into the game. This is because it's a long and boring job, and you'll need to teach me how to do it so I can share some of the weight :). Lots and Lots and LOTS of voice actors. Also, if you would like to help, but aren't either of the categories I mentioned earlier, if you could obtain transcripts of some of the dialogue in OB, as I don't have it all available, it would be appreciated.
