Ow, I'm very sorry for the incredibly late reply. I don't visit the forums very often, but I'm still around. I'm very glad to hear from you. How are things over there?

Surprisingly, the weather here has been warmer than usual all winter - no snow, very little frost, and spring came early. We've had summer temperatures the last few days, and are @ about 47th parallel N.

Ooo! I'll probably dream tonight in the full range of colors just because of the exciting years of using the new (used) computer, and upgraded to Windows 98 then to 98 se, I bought at a garage sale. I remember those motion filled Screensavers and the arcade version of Duke Nukem. I downloaded a trailer of a tunnel that led to the inside of a tower and saw the sword under a bed called the Sword of White Woe. I had to baby sit that Internet connection jiggling the mouse every so often t...

...o keep from getting bumped off during the download. Years later I got a mod for Suran, for Morrowind, with the Underground Suran Vampires and the mod had the tunnel and sword of white woe under the foot of a guard house guards bed, just like I remembered it from the trailer.

I'm waiting to play with friends, but I'm so self absorbed with Inquisition and Total War series at the moment. I love it though

These days all the Sheppards have nice jackets for sheep after they've sheared them for their expensive wool. Scratch scratch scratch. I prefer Angora sheep wool for sweaters. It doesn't cause itching when damp and its smells nicer if it is a little too humid outside. LOL

@Ostro: Unfortunately, the Worms games refuse to play on the couple of Android phones I've had. I used to love that game (worms armageddon over bluetooth with my pals) on my old Sony Ericsson phone (J2ME version of the game).

*Sigh*, maybe one day its devs will remake it properly for Android.

 

And I agree, the old Nokia phones had sterling build quality, and Symbian OS was ahead of its times (though woefully lacking in apps these days, compared to Android and iOS ecosystems).

@Nightshade: The Tetris game is probably the world's most played and popular game ever, and I've a hunch, it is to be found in every GUI OS ever made. It is addicting and fun, and is a surefire (albeit temporary) way to get rid of boredom during travel.
