  3. It might be easier to ask what can be ruled out on philosophical, moral and ethical points on the different streams of Social Darwinism in particular. Might be we see a clearer picture of social Darwinism by this method instead of poking blind folded in it with a stick.
  4. I got the Roosevelt Counter action of 1935 question wrong. At least my error was shown in the end result so I can improve on it ( only one example where i went wrong, and i dotn have such a firm grip on American political history as most Americans ) Flooding control gave me a loot of hassle becasue it is very different form the term we uses in my country which has in my country a completely different reasoning and completely different meaning and activities behind it. There I went with my stomach in prospect of a cookie.
  5. I do anything for cookies ... Langauge and some Ignorance about American legislation/History aside ( I apologise for my ignorance but I learned a bit or two from the test) I scored : 66.67 % 22 out of 33 So you have a bit of understanding how a non english speaking normal human being from a foreign country would answer and score. Some serve translation misunderstandings and struggles with my own stupidity as well included.:biggrin: At least I'm not totally ignorant to learn things I didn't know. (I'm a old dog that is still capable to learn new tricks)
  6. Adding Link: Social Darwinism (Wikipedia) Social Darwinism can be argumentative used to establish a hierarchy as well as to border out and oppress people with easy means. Fairly common it is used to support any eugenics and is an easy justification in combination with stigmatizing prejudice and discrimination to go against anyone. Now a days mostly used by such scientists like Peter Singer (Link on Wikipedia) and his thesis's (as a modern day example where the argumentation today goes). In politics it is commonly used in combination with the argument that financial means are too expensive to support minority's that have already stigmatized by classicism. Most commonly it is used by right wing extremists, but also often used by right parties in elections. ( around the world) On the left political wing it never mentioned openly, but also used as tool to gather financial resources through lobbyists, while giving the impression to be a left argument it is only used to establish a hierarchy against other minorities. (mostly it can be openly viewed on how different victims of crimes that left wing organisation support only one group of victims and tend to get this influence into governmental papers by buying and faking scientific studies that are later published by scientists so that their names only appear if you ask from whom it this was financed. ( a scientists would never bite the hand that feeds him even if it is unethical and amoral by taking the money and leaving a half done work mostly by using seemingly valid reasons to be fairly inaccurate on the subjects that would expose another group in need of support that isn't on the list of the left wing organisations agenda or even opposite.)

  9. I nearly lol myself away read it and asked me a question. If this technology exists as the author implies why not try to use it in a more constructive way and projecting an image of a famous actor doing a new version of famous Orson Welles "The War of the Worlds" radio show? :D
  10. A little side question since it was mentioned in the 1st post ... Did the author by say Illuminati said Bavarian Illuminati referring to Adam Weishaupt or pop culture Illuminati ?
  11. Dragging The debate only to the seniors Eh ? Ya never heard of Eugenics and social Darwinism ? Well on sukeban's post he avoided the word disabled persons completely and tried to drag it only to the seniors. Could it be that in sukeban's mind Disabled Persons under a certain age don't exists? Why for Disabled Persons healthcare is important? US Current Population Survey of Disabled 2009 U.S. Employment Statistics for Persons with a Disability 2010 Might be Someone find more here Disabled World Well and in financial dire straits of a government guess witch group has to receive deviantly the 1st front line of those cuts from the government? ( this happen world wide not have heard/seen of any country that doesn't) You don't care ? I guess then you are one of the 85 to 90 % that hasn't a disability in your country. ( World report on disability ) But this can change quickly and it only needs a terrible accident or a severe Illness (cancer is only one of the top of the list and this list is mega long) It can happen very fast or very slow, but it always has a major effect. How much is Healthcare accessible and is always based upon income of yourself or your familial and of social status on the opportunities how to get better or well. Since most long term disabled Persons living with a low income If they have a job and since it isn't well know that disabled are 5 times more likely to be victim of a violent crime ( (easy victims picking by cowards who have a low self-esteem) that needs later medical aid often that requires measures of functional healthcare that defiantly are debated on the backs of the disabled. Include the Disabled in debate and not border them out in healthcare because they are the ones that need most often medial aid on the long run making them bankrupt even trying to get access to medical help . Want to mess with 1 billion of people world wide? ( only for the books China has a population that only 300 millions more ( official census 2010 from china not counting illegal children in china of course)). Now how nice would it be if they would unite and protest everywhere? Afraid ? Only if Albeism continues on the back of disabled persons. ( It is a devils circle if you are afraid of disabled persons you only continue Albeism by establishing a hierarchy or functionalism or a exchange of power away from the disabled.) Any one remember the 70's? It already happened once might be it has to happen twice and no nation can say it hasn't any disabled persons. Since I cant' uses religion in debates I relay on Shakespeare again Richard III (simply start reading the introduction it is there). How long Disabled persons are shunned from society and how much similarities with the Jews they have... But back to health care most laws passed in my country about healthcare ( yes we have it and it is as expensive as the US military) for Disabled Persons are made of politics and government officials that never have been in the situation but only "Think they do good " but in fact they only do the same numtyness on a very modernized level as they did in Shakespear's time. Thy use to show the uneducated on the matter that they doing the right thing, while trying ignoring any disabled persons organisation in country that tries to step in and try to speak on the behalf of the disabled persons and make the laws better and more valid and not sportive for a minority of a minority. ( trying to divide them by laws is bad enough but in politics itis deadly for a democracy if politicians uses classicism in laws. No morals no values, not even established standards and signed treaties are save then.) Having no Healthcare for anybody helps to get rid only faster of the *prob*.. (sorry it was a try to display how some people ignore the word on purpose to express what they really think) ... of course i was trying to say... disabled persons and this would be on the long run. Ableism, social Darwinism and eugenics on politics are again on the rise and someone must be careful or we fall back in less civilized times. Nowadays with what to change for the better for the non disabled and then you need to watch out because if that happens nobody wants to have a disability and it is hard to lose one if you already got one. ( I here by offer my bad back and hip (reduced nerve strands) and my two hernia incidents that caused that to any non-disabled person. May somebody else walk like a Neanderthal man without pain. And my regards if you feel pain in seeing me in this topic in walking tall which is normally not my thing on the streets in RL *hope somebody got the irony here* )

  18. From Heinz Erhardt: Why the lemons were sour Translation: SilverDNA (Edit: I know it loses a bit in translation. I tried to compensate as good as I could. It might gives another one a good idea.) I really must emphasize again: Much earlier, the lemons, I do not now exactly remember when This has been, as sweet as candy. Until they once said, "We lemons We want to be as big as melons; Also we find yellow disgusting, We want red or blue readjusting." God above heard the complaints And said: "This will be nothing! You have to stay that way, I regret"; since then, the lemons were sour.
  19. Maharg67, your doom has come in the form of.... 20. Answer is both but, the perversion about it is that candidates are enter a list system and have to donate to their own parties to be risen in the list and now worst happens candidates on the list that make a donation can tax deduct half of the donations leaving the parties wealthier than before at each election. ( see the abuse?) there are as well foundations of the parities to which once person or company can made donations ( nice to wash money unseen) there are as well different measures to prevent such tactics, but they render till today infective as a leaky boat. Edit : The grass isn't greener over here it only has a different shade
  21. Might be some people didn't hear about Landtag (WIKI LINK),( Note: This link isn't a very accurate Wiki article. If you want a more accurate link translate the German WIKI link about Landtag/Landesparlament. This link. ) in Germany and how it is established through MMP system (funny how much similar this is compared to US Senate (simply compare differences and similarities), if you read up the translated page.) Secondary Germany has a general Five-percent threshold on parties in election all under the the fife percent border are not given a seat, but still get compensation for participating in the election. English readers might get a notion on today's News headlines of Germany (LINK to "The Local" German news in English) I was only clarifying dangers of the MMP system to users more familiar with the Plurality voting system (Wiki Link) Oh and BTW since none of you have made a usable solution of including non-voters you might be interested in this from the view of Parties very unpopular method of including Non-Voters into election demagogy as a control group of how well a democratic country is run. ( this can only made possible with the will of the citizens not from the parties because they are least interested to establish it ) If now the percentage of non-voters is influenced in the over all measure of how positions within the government are paid and refunds to a party''s are made. The possible outcome would be in decisions closer to citizens interests. - Example: if there are 20% Non-voters for an election, then there refunds or/and the payment of positions in government are also cut by 20%. (I hope now everybody can see why it is so unpopular within parties and why it can only be the force of the citizens that can establish this method) (this is only roughly translated from one of Hans Herbert von Arnims works) to get even further in to detail please uses above method on the Following links ... German federal election, 27 September 2009 WIKI (62.168.489 = overall Who where entitled to vote) Might be there is another interesting thing in demography if you compare this to European Parliament election, 7 June 2009 (Germany) Wiki  All in all it can be said again without proper adjustments to either system ( MMP or PVS) it is only the choices between Pestilence and Cholera.
  22. Since indirectly the German Bundestag and its elections was mentioned indirectly let me give you a simple overview of the disadvantages from the original German Wiki page of the MMP (Translated via Google) In above mentioned example tried to give some solutions to the main problems of the MMP system. But, this system can be abused by parties to force breakups of coalitions and getting more elections and which filling the party coffers of all parties with Political contributions, lobbying, and electoral refundable expenses to the parties.
  23. It sounds like you're trying to make the Senate into the House and the House into a proportional, party-list system. Why not cut to the chase and remove the Senate entirely, then move the House to a mixed-member proportional system? The reasoning suffers from a logic fallacy due to the overuse of Occams Razor by over simplifying. Simply by excluding the Invalid votes and saying, "only legit votes measure up 100%", which isn't a valid method of explaining the mixed-member proportional system in example video. In the Video shown every time voters that go over to another 1st choice it is reasoned that all voters go over to the next "better" representation. Since in this process non-voters are also produced, due to various factors that are left out on purpose to simplify this explanation model.
  24. I request here by from the op a specified clarification about the second quoted sentence from the women, (special the punctuation) becaue if i would do the punctuation, it becomes clear that this was a simple personal attack hidden behind the stereotype and thus mobbing on the work place. it only needs a comma, a dot or an exclamation mark at the right point to become clear, if I have understood this right. if above was right then a simple statement of what happened would have made plain that this behaviour can't be tolerated and makes working with one another much more difficult after this personal attack. So if I'm right the topic headline is misleading because the topic from the 1st post on is about mobbing then and not about stereotypes in primary. I could be wrong in this since the punctuation in mid sentence of the women's quote is missing and only the OP can place them proper since it was spoken to him.
