  1. I'm on the "Unfriendly Competition" quest for the second time, but the "Macabre Manifest is not on Argarmir's desk, so I can't continue the quest! Anyone got any Ideas?
  2. I'm on the "Unfriendly Competition" quest for the second or third time, but the "Macabre Manifest" is not on Argarmir's desk, so I can't continue the quest! Anyone got any Ideas?
  3. I thought you were supposed to put Idle animations in the idleanims folder. But putting it the the specialanims folder, and then adding it to the animation list on an esp worked too. Thanks.
  4. You're going to have to be more specific. I already looked at the Gameplay/Idle animations window. I can't see any way to add an animation to a particular npc from there.
  5. I've found the animation tab in the NPC edit window, and I know what animation I want to add to it, but there does not appear to be any way to add another animation, only select from the ones that already exist. I know there must be a way, but I can't find it, and the CS wiki is no help. Can someone help me?
  6. What about the shaman? It was casting non stop lightning spells. One of those things was strong enough to kill me in one hit.
  7. No, the Gargoyle (Flying Imp look alike) added by OOO. I've also seen this with a Goblin shaman.
  8. Dryads animations are all stock, except for the walkforward animation, with is has your feet jerking from side to side as you walk. Plus, it makes all the men walk like that too.
  9. Well, if they don't have infinite, how else could this Gargoyle cast spells NON STOP for 10 minutes? It never took a break. Either it has unlimited magicka, an insane amount of it, or it regenerates it crazy fast.
  10. It may be, because the guards are nameless, that the guards you see later are actually different guards. With named npcs however, they don't get replaced during a respawn cycle.
  11. I don't know what mod you're running, but never have I seen an npc restore his health, except the few who use healing spells.
  12. I've just installed OOO a few days ago, as I've heard it was da bomb, but after getting REALLY frustrated with an enemy, I just turned on godmode. Before I was able to take it down it must have cast 5000 mp worth of magical spells. Do NPCs have unlimited magicka or something? I've seen this with other enemies as well. They just cast one spell after another, and they NEVER stop. After posting this, I went and stood in front of a Gargoyle for 10 minutes, with god mode on. It never stopped casting. Wtf?
  13. Are you trying to do it from the "race" tab? You can't do it that way. In the construction set there should be a tray that is always open with a list of all the people, diseases, powers and what-not in the game. Find the ability list, then find the ability you want to change. You'll be able to edit it from that list or make a new one. If you make a new one, drag and drop it onto your race's specials box. Would this affect a character that's already created, or just new characters, created after I make this change?
  14. How do I add, or edit the attributes in the specials box of the race editor window? The only option I see is to delete, and I don't want to do that.
  15. For those times when I'm fighting alongside friendlies, I would like to be able to display their health on the side of my screen, like in an MMORPG, so I can heal them if they are in danger of dieing. I can't go scanning their health bars by mousing over them with the crosshair in the middle of combat. Is it possible to make a spell or something that would display the health of selected npcs on my screen? Edit: On a side note, I know there are mods that give the player health regen, but I didn't find any that said they gave npcs health regen. I'd like to see friendlies get their health back. It seems stupid to come across someone a day after you fought with them, and they are still at low health.
  16. I have a piece of custom light armor, that I want to be used as clothing, for my Mage. I don't like the Magic effectiveness penalty, or the noise it makes, but I definitely like the look of it. How would I modify the file in question so that the game would classify it as clothing? Nevermind. I found out how to make a copy of it, and classify it as clothing. I also managed to add it to the box that the original armor was in. That was the part I was really worried about, as I didn't want to spend 10 minutes trying to figure out the first 2 digits of the ID code in the console.
  17. I see. It's something that Bethesda improved upon in Fallout 3.
  18. In the Fallout 3 GECK, I found it easy to assign what mesh a race would use. But how the F*** do I do that in TES construction set? It's not in the race edit menu.
  19. I just downloaded the TES construction set, and tried to run it for the first time after installing it, and it crashes on startup, after telling me it can't load some files. It says unable to load CTL file, the atmosphere model, the stars, the clouds, and then it says "Assert at , 1629516914"
  20. I've noticed that when an item an npc is wearing is completely broken, they will un-equip it. I want to repair it using the console, so they'll put it back on. But, I don't know how to do that. In Fallout 3, there is a console command showinventory, but this does not work in oblivion, so I do not know how to see what is in the npcs inventory, and the associated ID numbers. Then there is the problem of actually repairing the stuff, once I have the number of the item. Can anyone help?
  21. I walked out the gate of Bruma one day, to see Edla Dark-Heart and the Bruma Guard attacking each other. Anyone know what's going on? I resurrected her, after the guard killed her, and they didn't attack each other. But, as I was riding away on my horse, she started to deliberately attack it.
  22. Which is no good for putting books on shelves with bad collision meshes
  23. I have a mod I really like for Fallout 3, it's called Feng Shui, and it allows me to move objects around in 3d, and lock them in place. Is there anything at all like this for Oblivion?
  24. Thanks Toasty, that did the trick.
  25. I tried that. It's name is .esp, but it's still listed as a Bak file, and neither FOMM or Bethesda's data manager will recognize it.
