  1. Okay, long story short, I made a change to a little custom mod of mine, but now I want to undo it, and I've already saved. I see a couple backups of my esp, but they are in a .bak format, and I have no Idea how to change them to an esp format. Bethesda's GECK wiki was no help, they just told me to rename the file, that didn't work. How do I restore the backup?
  2. Okay, this is REALLY weird. After installing a couple other mods, I could no longer add my clothes via console anymore, so I tinkered around, and found out, by trying letters and numbers with the code, that my armor was using the Prefix of ilary's hunger mod. Huh? I didn't use it as a master when making the esp, so, just,
  3. Okay, this is weird. I had deleted my armor esp out of frustration. But, I restored it from the recycle bin, and it's mod index number had changed to 0a. I then tried adding it with the console using that number/letter, and it worked! I don't know why it didn't work last time, but I'm happy!
  4. What do you mean by that? On a side note, I noticed that the esp for the armor was labeled as 3A in FOMM, but that didn't work either. And yes, the mod is active, I made sure before loading up FO3 to check in in FOMM.
  5. I'm trying to create a custom armor for my character, but when I try to add this armor to my inventory via console, I doesn't work. I know the Id is 01000ea6, and I've tried changing the first two numbers to everything from 0 to 40, but it's not working. The console simply can't find the item. I don't know what to do.
  6. Has anyone ever noticed the high pitched sound that the Enclave energy barrier makes? I have. Whenever I go near one, I hear it, and it makes my ears ring profusely. It's the highest pitched sound I've ever heard. Is there any way to filter this out?
  7. I just installed the Pitt and Operation Anchorage add-on's, and now, all of a sudden, the enclave radio is transmitting again. What's up with that?
  8. Does it look to anyone else like power armor has a re-breather attached to it? I'd like a mod that increases the breathing time underwater of power armor wearers by, oh, about 5 times. ( Or however much a rebreather can realistically handle ) If no-one is willing to do this, how would I go about it myself?
  9. Would it be possible to make a mod to type new notes into the notes section of your Pip Boy? I'd also like to be able to delete old ones I no longer need, as it gets quite cluttered.
  10. There are no required mods. I installed the three recommended mods, but it still won't work. I checked the data files too, making sure I had them all in my folders.
  11. I found Can opener in the files database, and thought it was the perfect mod for me. Unfortunately, with the Can Opener esp enabled (Even with all others disabled) FO3 crashes on startup. I tried using the abbreviated effects tool, but that didn't help. I have no Idea what to do about this. Can anyone help?
  12. I found some mods for Fallout 3 that will stop cars, trucks and buses from exploding. I even found one that changes the explosions. But I couldn't find one that simply gave them more "HP", as it were. Is there a simple way to increase the amount of damage a vehicle can take before it explodes? A few bullets into the front fender seems far fetched to make the nuclear reactor at the BACK explode. I know making a location relative damage mesh for cars would be a lot of work, so I think this would be a good go-between.
  13. Couldn't you just write some code to check if an entities faction is hostile or friendly to the player?
  14. I would want them to not blow up buddies, but if you can't do that, then having them just not damage them would do. But not blowing up in the first place is the best way to go.
  15. Can't you just make them only kill characters that are hostile to the player faction, like turrets? The Bethesda devs did that with mines placed in raider camps. (And Fort Bannister)
  16. I'm always cheesed off when a friendly walks over one of my mines, and it blows them up. :wallbash: The mines are smart enough not to blow up the one who placed them, and they don't blow up the npc faction that "placed" :P them. I want to be able to place mines, and not have them blow up friendlies. Simple as that.
  17. No, I want a mod that allows me to precisely place the objects I already have. Have you ever tried to stack books on a shelf, like you would in real life? It's hard, nearly impossible. (Unless your willing to spend two hours doing it :wallbash: )
  18. This mod may have been suggested before, it may have not, but searching for a mod like this would take hours, because who knows what it might be named, if it exists, so I'll go ahead and get to the point. I'm a hoarder, which means I like to place lots of stuff in my house. Some stuff I place in containers, but other stuff, like weapons, especially the big weapons, I like to place outside, on a shelf or on the floor. I've been wishing for a long time for an better way to move objects around. Trying to stack bottlecap mines on a shelf can be frustrating. Dragging something by one corner just does not cut it for someone like me. If someone were to make a simple mod to give more dynamic movement options when moving objects, organizing my house would be a lot easier. Maybe something like the physics gun from Garrys mod, or even the HL2 gravity gun. It doesn't have to be fancy, perhaps just some way to rotate an object, the lock its rotation, so you can place it on the shelf with the z button. Or whatever button you have grab binded to.
