I would say that FWE is the perfect RP mod. like neverclock said the injury system is changes so much it would be easy to stay crippled if you dont have enough money/ supplies. since i downloaded FWE it has made me play the game much more carefully and has added in more options to turn it into a more real RP game. FWE FTW!
  2. at the moment i currently have no way of implementing features like that. once the shop is fully set up and the hunting locations are placed, people may want to implement features like this into the mod, but untill then it will be pure role play. The merchant will have a healthy supply of food and drink, cigarettes, backpacks, night vision, ammunition and weapons. shouldnt be to long untill i place the lodges.

I was thinking about using less of 2 and 4 ( maybe only 1 or 2 each) and the other 4 version a few more times (around 3 - 4) Each Hunt spot is equiped with a storage box, med box, bed and ambient lighting. The containers are allways stocked because other hunters leave a few of thier supplies as an ettiquite thing to other hunters. Does anybody know of any interesting places to put the hunters spots? Once that is all done I can see about incorporating some scripting that will allow the Hunters supply merchant to request meat from time to time that you have to go and obtain for him. Then maybe some other meat buyers using the flagging principle where an npc runs over and auto starts a conversation asking if you can obtain some meat for them??
  4. So, I started building some hunting areas, just small bus, trailer and platform conversions so far. I'm set to add various items into the areas as well (containers, med kits ect). I also got permission to use a shop mod that sells hunting supplies (backpacks, night vision ect) and i'm am going to add a few more items to his vendor list as well as edit the interior a little so bear with me a few days whilst i set it all up, then I can worry about actually putting in some quest based stuff. If anyone can give me some pointers on how to merge fallout 3 mods I'd be greatful I hope this is the kind of thing you were thinking UttaNutta...

One thing that would be immensly helpful is: Once i create my shacks complete with storage and medkits ect, is there anyway i can merge the contents so when i place them on the wasteland i can do a single X,Y,Z movement insted of having to select all the objects and risk selecting stuff arround the shack? thanks Update: I am going to initially make 4 shack variations and place arround 10 - 20 in the wasteland. after that is done I am going to make a Hunters shop/ retreat with merchants for hunting equipment and location markers. If anybody wants to make a shack variation it would be very welcome as it will add to the random variation (seeing as they are ment to be shcks built by hand each time)

  7. ive just started with the geck so im not that good at the moment, but i might have a go on this for my second mod. if i start with an open faced shack model and insert them at various locations in the wasteland i can add in a hunting supplies merchant and other things afterwards. does anybody want to expand the idea a little of have anything that might be of use because i might dwell on the idea before i start it to make sure I think of enough interesting stuff to put in.
  8. i didnt delete the navamesh from the restroom so how come that cant be used?
  9. hey, having some problems with the geck.... So i made a basement mod. i want to connect it to a door at the bottom of the stairs in the megaton house. the basment is fully built but i cant for the life of me figure out to to connect it. im following the tutorial but it doesnt seem to work. when i insert a door at the bottom of the stairs i double click, select teleport. then i find my basment in the interiors, locate the door and double click. when i do the select referance in the object window the crosshair never turns white. can somone run me through how to do it because i find the official tutorial a bit unclear. thanks!! edit: so i maganed to connect them (there was one tiny spot on the corner of each door i could select) but the yellow position marker lays down on its back and i cant seem to rotate it to stand upright and face outwards from the door which is what i assume you have to do. there are also a few other things i need help with. everyitem i put into my lab is red. is this because i used the andale basment to begin with. one other thing is that the cabinets and lockers that i put in all contain stuff. that isnt so much a problem but one of the lockers set i used is full with MyFirst:infinimary, nukacola vendor ect holotapes. if anyone can help me get around these problems id be well greatful

Hey, i wanted to make a drug creation lab by geting the andale basment, duplicating it ect and adding in a bunch of player labs. if i drag the HD00labset from the browser will it be useable or will it be just a prop for show. do i have to attach the HD00labscript to the HD00labset item? thaknks also, somone gave me a way to edit the HD00labscript so there is no waiting period for brewing and im a bit unclear on the details: if i want to edit the lab script from: if ( HDLab0 == 1 ) if ( GameDaysPassed - HDLabTime0 >= 1 ) Set HDLab0 to 2 endif endif to if ( HDLab0 == 1 ) Set HDLab0 to 2 endif Should that last endif be missing or is it a typo and will i have to create an .esp file when i save or will it affect every Labset in the game if i just edit it and save without an esp?

  12. been playing with Wanderers edition for a bit and was wondering if there are any mods that suit it well. i noticed it siad you can disable fast travel and have a caravan network instead but i cant find any. does sombody know if it is an extra plug in? thanks i have DC interiors, MMM, WMK allready
  13. its just the megaton bathroom duplicated and renamed with all the stuff left in + a few extra chairs. also, why cant i delete the new LvL character from the list? thanks also, i cant tell if your serious about merchants

  16. i definatly had them set to 1 and used f to anchor them to the floor. bassically they are giants, their knee isnt even visible they are so tall. they appear as an actual npc as opposed to a green m when you drag a premade character. why does that happen?
  17. so i've been toying arround with the geck of recent. i edited an existing cell into my own and decided i wanted to add a custom merchant npc. i found a tutorial and followed it all to the letter but when i drag my new npc into the render window they are giants. the size and weight are definatly set to 1 so i dont understand why. i also can not delete them from the lvl list now. the room they are in is the megaton mens restroom duplicated and renamed. if possible, can somone explain how to: create a custom merchant npc that is not a giant who is wearing clothes how to make them sandbox and not ever leave the room a couple of other things im a bit unclear on is how to save and test my mod. i am aware that i have to link them to the world but for now i would like to get this bathroom with a merchant npc up and running and just teleport in for now. thanks
  18. hey, i just started using the geck and have been looking at all the tutorials. what i cant find is a tutorial that shows you how to modify existing cells. i just want to tweak some original game cells for my mod and include them with one original cell. one for example is a bathroom. rather than create a new bathroom, i duplicated the megaton mens restroom and renamed it. will this interfear with the game when i save it because of the fact the door has 2 destinations. how do i delete the door markers? for now i just want to create all the cells seperatly and then link them all up at the end. am i doing this right? any help is much appreciated, thanks

  20. i had a mod that added a drug den that had a few people called the greasy goon inside it. it's likely that they are a leveled actor from the game. if you have the geck you could open the npc list and check...
  21. not to my knowledge. what would be nice would be to make a mod that added say 10 ish hunting shacks, like this one, http://www.hotwoods.com/images/Hunting%20Shack/HuntingShack1.jpg around the wasteland to hunt from. then some simple dialogue adjustments to grandma sparkle and your away.....
  22. you can have it so that she stick to you like glue in the amy wong report function but it doesnt work on the trade tour, she just bolts on ahed and waits. not a massive problem, i just prefer the idea of walking most of the time.
  23. i would love to help bassically, i finnish my degree in a couple of days from now and im going to install the geck and have a bash at modding. in essence, i dont think getting the bare bones of the mod going is that hard. I'll PM you with some details and we can see what we can do. if anyone else thinks they can help contribute to construction or flesh out some of the ideas that would be cool.
