  1. you should contact the author and see if he can make a plug in for primary needs. i dont know what you would do if you wanted to input it into FWE, it could be more complicated.

This is a mod idea that I have been dwelling on for quite some time now and posting bits and bobs about on the forums so I thought I'd concentrate and share my ideas and see if I can get some feedback and see what people think. It is going to be a basement bar with a difference. Imagine Beyond the Thunderdome in Fallout 3 meets Moriartys. I wanted to make a bar similar to the way Moriartys is dank and dark, with low lights and lamps on the tables and stuff, but make it feel quite cozy at the same time. The player can use this bar as just a bar to drink in, or they can go into the locker room and activate the fight terminal. The player can set up a fight choosing from humans, ghouls, dogs and supermutants. Once a faction has been chosen you can determine a number of up to 4 npc's to fight (except supermutants, one at a time is enough i think). If the player chooses a human faction fight, each faction is opposed to each other, where as the ghoul and dog fights have all npc's against the player. After the selection has taken place, the player exits the terminal, dumps their inventory in a locker (make sure you shoot up all the chems you need for the fight now!) and leave the changing room to go back into the main bar where the ring has the selected npc's waiting in it for you. The player then activates a door on the ring which activates a teleport function into the ring to avoid the enemy running out of the ring. The player can proceed to pick up various melee weapons placed in the ring for the fight and try to win it for the cap reward. If the players helth gets to 5%, the fight ends and you are teleported back to the changing room. If the player wins the fight, the dead bodies are removed on exit and caps are rewarded by speaking to John Black in the back office. Features I had planned are:[/b] - 2 guards upstairs guarding basement door leading down to bar - Main room with a fully fledged stocked bar with bartender (npc Jack, Gobs Brother), fight cage set in the middle, tables, chairs, pool table, lamps, ashtrays, clutter ect - Changing room with fight terminal, lockers, bench, sink, clutter ect - Back office with desk, safe, clutter ect,( npc John Black is the owner and friend of Moriarty) - Sanbox customer npc's with robust personalities so they don't go into flee mode and leave the bar when the fights start - Possibly a player squat with a well rested bed and infirmary linked to an unlock quest based around a "delivery" Fights include: Humans - 100 caps each Ghouls - 50 caps each Dogs - 25 caps each Supermutant - 500 caps I'm new to modding so it's going to take a while, but I do have a mod which has a very similar function to what I need that just needs to be tweeked and moved into a new location. Also, some of the problems I can forsee are the customers of the bar going into flee mode when you re-enter from the changing room because of the hostile npc's in the ring and timing the 5% player health condition to end the fight. If anyone has any ideas or tips on how to solve these problems or tips on how to make this a good mod please share them......Thanks for reading...
  4. i do have one concern. if this all this fighing takes place in cage in the middle of a bar inhabited with people drinking, walikng around ect, will they all start running around and panic when a hostile faction is placed in the ring if they are in the same room? what i had planned was to have it so that you enter a dressing room with the computer, make your enemy selection, dump your stuff in a locker and make your way back to the main bar where you find a cage with a door that you have to enter to get to the fight. basically you cant leave till you or they get to a minimal health(5%ish) status. then reward time! i though it would be cool if you could select up to 3 unarmed humans for fights that are all on different factions so you end up with a massive brawl in a last man standing kind of thing. i was thinking for fight options: multiple unarmed human fights, supermutant fights, ghoul fights and animal fights. 100 caps per human, 1000 for a mutant, 50 for a ghoul and 25 for an animal. any other ideas are welcome!!!!!
  5. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1708 there is a drinking mod kind of. it happens at really random times because its set up so that walk backwards is cue random animation. it has whiskey bottles, nuka cola and beer bottle. no food. prehaps somone can adapt this?
  6. i couldnt let this idea die. could some of the player idle animations be adapted to be specifically triggered once an item is consumed? i dont know much about modding but there must be a way of making an animation trigger for food and drink to be triggered after consuming either of them. a nuka cola bottle for drinking and some foodish looking substance would be a good start.
  7. bassically, dont get me wrong, the guns are fine but not really what i had in mind. What i wanted to do was focus more on the fight arena idea and make it into a thunderdome style thing. all i really need to do is create a dirty little wasteland bar with nps'c ect and a changing room. in the changing room is the computer with the enemy selection function. once you select an enemy you dump your stuff in a locker and go in for the fight. i think its just a case of building a new interior and moving the controll system and character placement ect as well as adding in more human foe options and multiple foes for ROYAL RUMBLE style battles. possibly a few weapons lying around on the floor to make it a bit more interesting. im not really that good at modding but there are enough mods that can be adapted with permission, all i need is a few pointers on how i might go about making the changes i had in mind. thanks
  8. how easy would it be to modify the script slightly and change around a few things. should i be looking at starting again or would it be worth sticking to whats done and add to it?
  9. 3rd! i never use V.A.T.S so i would love a mod that triggered an instant death on a head shot.

  11. what you could do is to adapt the script from the woman in megaton who runs up to you and gives you stuff. then, if you place 3 - 4 new npc with a bit of money on them in rivet city you could have it so that when you enter the market they run over to ask you what you have for sale when they get close enough. then you wouldnt have to wait around in the market for long untill somone came up to you and asked you for somthing. then you could look into having an item specific bonus if you have something the ask for directly. possible addon could include more auto-buy npcs in other towns ect...
  12. this was discused before. i dont know if you know the mod, but real time settler had an option to rush builders doing jobs for you where 24 hrs zoomed by in a second. i dont know if this could be adapted for everytime you sleep tho because of the respawning inventories ect. does anybody know if that portion of scripting would be useful for a mod like this?
  13. the idea of joining the trade tour is what apealed to me the most but she runs far to fast for it to be any fun. if there was an option to make her walk the tour then it would be a great mod shes is useful to be honest, but only worth having around if you have an abundance of scavanged stuff that you cant be bothered to sell. if anyone knows how to go about making these changes i'd be very thankful if you could explain...

Really like this mod. its great that i can get her to go out and sell for me but i have hit across a problem. does anybody know how easy it would be to change the scripting so that when you ask to join her tour, she walks instead of running all the time. really gets on my nerves. any body else use this mod?

  21. i was bothered by the fact i needed to be constantly attending to the village. no advancements on taking this idea further? maybe a combo of rts elements and the feng-shui mod.
  22. hey chaps, i have been using stalker call of dc overhaul mod. it changes all of the factions into stalker clothes. i recently stopped using it, took a trip to downtown when i realised all of the BoS in the dc ruins have no armor. they do everywhere else, just not in dc. is there any way i can restore them at all? thanks
  23. wanted this feature since i played rts. blue print and build would be sweet. surely it cant be that hard to strip it down?
  24. they should almost be another mod. the colloseum feels like an after thought. can anyone help me out with what to expect when modding another mod?
