http://vgmdb.net/album/1764 Diablo II music was made available through the iTunes store. Also, as the linked website shows, it was part of the Diablo II disc package. As it is tagged 'commercial, embedded', it is definitely not free. As far as I know Diablo I soundtrack was never released as a stand-alone title. Because it is part of the game it is subject to the prohibition in the Terms of Service of this site: no assets from other games may be uploaded. Rule of thumb: Unless the publisher's/composer's website/terms of use says otherwise, or unless you download it from a certified public domain music repository, uploading any music except your own to this site will quickly attract the banhammer.

ME>DA>ME2>DA2: Perspectives...
LadyMilla replied to SpellAndShield's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Which is meaningless in this case. Development process was handed over to Obsidian, so if the game was bad, Obsidian should be blamed for messing it up, plus damaging BioWare's good reputation. Quote: "The change of developers came at BioWare's suggestion based on their familiarity with Obsidian Entertainment's previous work, as BioWare was busy developing Jade Empire and started focusing on their own intellectual properties." -
is there anyway to exchange face from other save file?
LadyMilla replied to lkhlkh's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
FaceGen Exchange for New Vegas -
Agreed, however. There have been instances of game companies doing a game less for money, and more for the fans or what they think. One instance is Damnation, they lost a huge budget for the game because the developers refused to change certain aspects of the games that the publishers felt would be a good idea. Same has happened with other games. Granted, every game company, developer and publisher are in it for some sort of monetary gain, but while that is up top, a lot of developers stand true to the game formost. EA just keeps pumping out s*** for money. ----> "This ended up losing them a massive foothold to make the game, however they still went along with a smaller-time producer." This is the keyword! But the exception does not invalidate the rule. Sometimes people are able to make ends meet. Sometimes they will be gobbled up by the big fish because people are easily tempted by the smell of dollars. Some of them will want to play big, some will be content with staying small-time in exchange for the freedom to develop things that they see as quality games. Unless you find a really eccentric investor who is like minded and willing to shovel money into a risky business, you will have a hard time guarding your original vision from folks whose only vision is the 'return of investment'. (But I kinda agree with your comments on EA.)

problem changing my fallout.ini
LadyMilla replied to Palandiell's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Even better, change your fallout_default.ini. So far the most reliable method for me was to change both fallout_default.ini and falloutprefs.ini. -

Just a minor correction: KoTOR2 was not developed by BioWare. It was developed by Obsidian Entertainment. -
Removing a master file from the mod
LadyMilla replied to eLucifer's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
The 'ding' is probably the hidden pop-up window. Rule of thumb: never remove a master file from the /Data directory before you remove all references to it from the dependent .esp file. FO3edit complains for the same reason that causes the game to crash... missing master file. I'm not sure about the dummy master, it would be better to use the proper master file (download the mod that contains it if you don't have it already). -
Removing a master file from the mod

Yes, there is. -
Do you have any other choice? It is not your site. It's a privately owned site that operates according to the site owner's rules. If you don't like it, you can use the Feedback and suggestions thread to post your opinion on how the site could be improved or you can try to find mods elsewhere. In this thread there is one thing I can agree with though: even when you use tag search and leave the Adult-only content unticked, the search spews out a bunch of adult mods (I tried 'Related to females' and "Clothing and Armor" tag, and among the hits there was a nude pipboy replacer, clearly tagged as adult only.) Your best bet is to suggest in the thread that I mentioned that the site owner implement an 'Exclude adult content" tag for the Search function.

Maybe try this: SKINNY 6 BodyReplacer (check out the second posted screenie for that mod). -
Fallout: New Vegas uses STEAM, but why...?
LadyMilla replied to Stryfe23's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
You need to set Steam to offline mode and you can play as you like. -
Invisible resources in game, but visible in the GECK?
LadyMilla replied to Seox's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
It is apparent that you place things in your shack from OTHER mods. This means that you need to make your own mod dependent on those other mods, that is, you need to add those other mods as master files to your own mod. Try this: a) use FO3edit to add those .esp files as master files to your mod. If you don't know how to do it, read this FO3edit Training Manual; b) save your mod, open GECK (it will load those .esp files automatically as masters) and place the weapons again. Now, once you saved your mod, the weaps should be visible in the game. -
Provided that you find enough or you can afford it. Doctors charge about 100 caps for curing radiation. And even if you can afford it, Radaway cures radiation sickness, but I saw no evidence that it also cures cancer and other genetic defects that results from prolonged exposure. You get a mutation when you complete the optional 600+ rad objective for Moira Brown and she cures you. But is Radaway really an answer? If you suggest Radaway as the thing that ensures survival, you just replace 'clean water' with another 'magical stuff'. If you do so, others may ask 'where does Radaway come from in such quantities that there is still a lot, neatly packaged into a plastic sacks?
-
You keep repeating the same question, even though it has been answered many times. There is no 'all the clean water'. Only bottles of clean water, and a few lucky settlements with water purifiers. Those living in the wasteland does not have clean water. They drink irradiated water and they die young, only a few live long enough to be considered 'elderly'. Limited amounts of clean water are available in settlements (Megaton's own water plant, Rivet City's limited stocks, the Brotherhood's own purification installations). Raiders may occasionally get bottles of clean water from settlements. There is no clear explanation in the game as to where the settlements get water. They may have crude makeshift distillers that at least removes solid radiating particles and provides enough drinking water - enough for drinking, not enough for personal hygiene (almost everyone except the members of the Enclave and the Brotherhood looks unwashed and more or less unkempt). There are also random encounters where settlers, mercs and other folks are fighting for a refrigerator full of purified water. This shows that clean water is rare and it is extremely valuable if they are willing to risk a firefight to get it. Apparently, as New Vegas shows, the situation is different in other parts of the States. So, no... in the DC area, clean water supply is far from being "ample" hence the idea for PP.

The second or the third is a reasonable option. Ticking the first would make you look like a brown-noser (eh, he/she quickly selected the first option), ticking the last would make you look suspicious (what, why on earth did he/she tick the last option, was he really going through the whole list in the hope of finding a different answer?). But you know, I'm a bit paranoid (that makes me the perfect candidate for an Overseer, doesn't it?)

Removing a master file from the mod
LadyMilla replied to eLucifer's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
You can also try to highlight the master file in the Parent Master list within the Data File window of GECK, and then press the "Delete" button. For me, sometimes this produces a pop-up window that is hidden behind the Data File window, and a bit difficult to close. Anyway, I don't see what's the problem with FO3edit being one more program on your computer. If I want to solve a problem, I always try to use the most suitable program for that purpose, and in this case, FO3edit is much less problematic than GECK. Not to mention that if you want to use mods, sooner or later you will need to familiarize yourself with things like 'a merged patch' or "master update" (both requires FO3edit, and helps to eliminate the most frequent causes of CTDs, conflicts between mods, etc.). -
I prefer Three Dog, but then I have the 100-song More Where That Came From - GNR expansion. I tried to listen to Mr. New Vegas but he is too old, and too dripping with honey if you know what I mean. I tried Conelrad too, but listening to songs that have the word "commie" in every verse gets as old after a while as listening to Big Iron three times in succession.

The fact that somebody lived a long life is no proof of living in a healthy environment, or having access to clean water. There are people who live in harsh environments, and still manage to survive long enough into their senior years.
-
Yep, that's the thing. In Rivet City there is a discussion where the NPCs talk about an immigrant who died because he (or she, can't remember) drank too much irradiated water. People who drink contaminated water will sooner or later feel the negative effects, but it is a probability game. Just like in the case of smoking, the probability of cancer increases with the passing of time, but it is not a certainty. In Chernobyl, there were people who received high doses of radiation and still live, and there were others who were exposed to much lower levels of radiation, and have already died, or now suffer from cancer. In FO3, elderly people, with the exception of Agatha, live almost exclusively in settlements, in relatively safe environments. There are almost no elderly people among free roaming folks, like raiders. So it seems, people are born, most of them live a short life: the few exceptions are almost all wealthy people (like Tenpenny, or the old Voodoo guy at Point Lookout) or people who live in a protected environments (Megaton, Rivet City, Citadel). So... no... people living near or in the capital wasteland is no proof that there is clean water, and even if there is clean water, only few people have access to it. Project Purity is about 'free water for everyone'.

Removing a master file from the mod
LadyMilla replied to eLucifer's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
Yes. Use FO3Edit. Click on your .esp's File Header entry in the left-hand panel, then in the right hand panel right click on the empty cell above the name of the master file that you want to remove, select Remove from the pop-up menu. -
Yes, I know about "retro-futurism". My point is that it is useless to debate the logic of the game because its logic is granular. The developers lay out a certain premise, and they build a series of "cause-effect" relationships on that premise, and they are not really bothered if the individual premises themselves contradict each other or go against reality. As you say, "computers did not get far (which is not true, by the way, because President Eden is a highly advanced computer and artificial intelligence), robotics and weapons did". I'd rephrase that sentence as "miniaturization did not get far" but then again, how do you explain advanced robotics without miniaturization and advanced computers? E-DE's circuitry cannot contain electron tubes because they would be shattered into tiny bits upon bullet impact. My conclusion: any debate about the feasibility or unfeasibility of anything in the Fallout universe is moot. The creators who shape the story are fairly liberal when it comes to dealing with 'consistency issues'. Just look at the conditions in the Capital Wasteland. They show an environment that would be realistic about two or three years after the Great War. In reality, after 200+ years radioactivity would be gone, you would not stumble into pockets of lethal radiation (unless you wander into a radioactive waste dump), the sky would be clear (and not green as in the vanilla game). The atomic bomb in Megaton would be dud because in reality, weapon-grade fissile materials need to be replaced periodically (radioactive decay would otherwise render the bomb unusable). So my solution: sit back, forget reality, forget logic, and simply enjoy what is laid out before you.

Newsflash: every game publisher sells software ONLY for money. Capitalist enterprises are not charity organizations that work for the benefit of all, or to uphold some sort of game lore. Developers may love what they do, but at management level, even if some of them love games, the first and foremost consideration is the profit margin, and to look good at the annual shareholders' meeting. When you are a manager, you are not expected to love the product your company produces, you are expected to fill the investors' pocket. If it means dumbing down a game so it is available to a larger group of customers, castrating the developers' vision of how the game should be built, pressing them to finish it sooner than it would be advisable, they will do it. Maybe small companies that are publishers/developers, or companies where the management consists of former developers who have a solid insight into what is going on within their development studios fare better in that regard, but once a holding company, or a giant publisher takes over... I'd say expect the worst, and if they still deliver quality at least you will be pleasantly surprised. Remember, corporate image, publicity, consumer-friendliness... they are just part of the corporate 'sales pitch'.

Yep, that's something I wanted to suggest too. Sometimes I just can't find the picture I'm looking for, I can't remember the author's name so I cannot find it through the members list, but I definitely remember the title. A search function would be nice.
