  1. The game is broken on PC. Crashes, audio glitches, textures stretch to the sky in areas, the water doesn't render, the RTX is a frame rate killer even with a good graphics card, there are multiple bugs throughout even the opening areas that weren't even in the original version. It's a disaster and after Cyberpunk it's amazing that this broken mess isn't being talked about more. It's a joke.
  2. Since the maintenance announcement I constantly get logged out. It's random, some tabs I stay logged into and some I don't. Some log me out while the browser is still open. This is true on three different browsers I've tested. Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, and Brave. The only security I have on my PC is Windows 10 Defender and Malware Bytes. Nothing has changed on my computer pre or post your site upgrade. I even tried to follow the link you left in the update story, but when I got to the forums it said I had to be logged in. When I went to log in it said I was already logged in. Literally nothing in my PC has changed before or since this. Unless something with Malware Bytes conflicts with whatever changes you made, it's still an issue. The randomness makes me think that's an unlikely culprit though.
  3. The environment on Nexus posts is getting toxic. Today I posted a mod request to a mod that said it's taking requests and had another user go on some unhinged rant. I doubt I even have to post the persons name as I see them doing the same thing to everyone on roughly 40-50% of the mod pages I visit. There's absolutely no reason Nexus shouldn't have a true block feature. I can't think of another site of this size that doesn't have that feature. I even have the user blocked and all it says is that I'll no longer see their mod's. What difference does that make?
  4. In response to post #81823788. Unless they explicitly say otherwise, it shouldn't. When I used the old mod manager NMM, It updated all the time and it never affected my modded games.
  5. In response to post #80307978. #80350118, #80354833 are all replies on the same post. HA! Sure I'll go with oldschool. It beats middle aged nerd, I guess.
  6. Morrowind is almost 2 decades old?! I feel old af right now.
  7. The pictures look great, the commenting and apparently the moderating, not so much.
  8. In response to post #73518208. #73521928, #73937453 are all replies on the same post. It really does remind me of early Bioware games and the idea of a complete experience instead of something hacked up into microtransactions and DLC. I hope Bethesda and other companies pay attention to these types of games and the experiences many gamers want, but let's be honest, microtransactions make these companies billions of dollars. If people don't have the self control not to indulge in them, they aren't going away. Sorry to hear about the game stopping bug, that stinks. I hope it's fixed now so you can finish it. Cheers!
  9. The new design is much easier to navigate and it's much snappier as well. I like it. I still don't like how if I click on New Today, or New This Week, that I have to click "See More". Just load as many as there are. It's a completely unnecessary button press. Other than that I like it. It would be nice if we had more options to customize our profiles to keep in touch with each other and the goings on in Nexusland without having to go to other social media, like that cesspool Twitter.
  10. Such a good game. I hope this sells well. I'd love to see what the dev can do with a bigger budget. Greedfall is excellent, but it's clear that a limited budget didn't allow it to get to the level I'm sure they wanted it to. If you like old Bioware games, this will be right up your alley.
  11. Nice interview from a really talented artist!

  13. In response to post #71856523. MMORPG's have been around for 3 decades now and single player games are moving along just fine. I wouldn't worry. It's not an either or situation, there's room for all types of games.

Ah, I see, thanks for the info. I hear Gopher is getting ready to do another series on Vortex. Hopefully that will be more comprehensive. One thing I'm almost certain about is that the renaming feature wasn't in there from the start because I even asked about it when I first started messing with it. I think when Vortex started you could rename mods only in the downloads tab, which doesn't do much good for my purposes, but I'm willing to admit I'm probably wrong about that. I guess my only complaint moving forward about Vortex is how it doesn't have a proper tutorial for knobs like me.

Sorry, I'm probably being a moron. I'm in the mods tab and clicking left and right on the mod I've downloaded and I don't get that window where I can change the name. EDIT: so okay, I double click the mod to get to the rename part. Awesome, I'm liking it, but you should probably make that clear in a tutorial video. I could have sworn we couldn't change the name in the mods tab before. Was I wrong the whole time? If I could make one suggestion, when I right click on the mod, an option to rename, or bring up the panel where I can, would make more sense. Double clicking it makes me automatically think I'm installing it. Am I right on this, or am I f'ing it up even more? If I can rename my mods in the "MODS" tab, I'll switch tomorrow. Apologies if I've had that wrong the whole time.

  17. With all due respect, not a single thing in Vortex is easier than NMM. Being able to tweak something manually instead of relying on automated software to do it isn't a "bad habit" and LOOT isn't always correct. Also, I don't care at all about groups, or the ability to rename them. I've never used groups in any mod manager and again it's easier to just rename the mod. I rename mods to auto sort them without the need of categories. For example in Fallout 4 take the mod "Atomic Radio". I download it and rename it "audio - radio - Atomic Radio". I don't need to open and close categories, I don't need to search for anything, I just go right to audio - radio - and uninstall/install my mod. Manual load order isn't coming and I've accepted this, but not being able to simply rename our mods in the mods category is silly to me. And why do we have "downloads", "mods" and "plugins" categories? It takes what used to exist on one page and splits it into 3. That makes no sense to me and requires far more time navigating the panels. Look I understand the hard work that goes into software development as that's what I do for a living now, but I also understand that these are very requested features and I see no reason why they can't be a part of Vortex other than stubbornness. I have nothing but respect for the people that run Nexus and the modders on it, but I just don't see a reason to switch to a more complicated piece of software that lacks features I want when NMM Community already exists. It's not a big deal and I probably just shouldn't have posted anything.
  18. In response to post #70445933. #70451428 is also a reply to the same post. I understand how to do it in Vortex, I just see no reason to add multiple steps instead of just letting me slide the thing where I want it. Speaking in engineering terms, development is supposed to make tasks easier, not more complex. It's nice to have the deeper functionality of Vortex system, but there's no reason not to just let us slide the things around as we do in NMM. Don't get me wrong, the manual load order thing I can live with, the renaming thing I can't. I have used my own categories through changing the mod name for years so I can easily find what I'm looking for. I'm way too OCD to change that now. I appreciate the response though and I do experiment with Vortex from time to time hoping these features will get in someday. Cheers!
  19. Now you just need to let me sort my load order manually and rename any mod whatever I want in any category. Until those basic features that have been in NMM for years are part of this, I see no reason to switch. I mean no disrespect and I know how much hard work this must be, but these are basic things we already had and they seem to be things left out only out of spite and not demand or practicality imho.
  20. Nice interview and I love the mod. Thanks Nexus and thanks Scrabbulor!
  21. It's sad a few bad people have to ruin a good partnership, but that's the world we live in now. It never ceases to amaze me how people think they have the right to use other peoples things as they wish without their permission. It's a shame because if something were to happen then we are at risk for losing so much great creative content because a few entitled dime bags can't play nice with others.
  22. In response to post #66340086. #66340376 is also a reply to the same post. In fairness, a lot of the features Bethesda puts in their games are inspired by modders, from this to the settlement system itself.
  23. Install your favorite ENB according to it's instructions. Then go to WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and copy the file dxgi.dll into your Fallout 3 or NV directory and overwrite the existing one. It should work, that's the only tweak i did to get Midhrastic ENB working.
