  1. "plz i want metroid gun" "plz where jiggle boobs" "More Survival Diseases" "dis sux fix it" "add dragons"
  2. I couldn't think of a suitably sensible response to this, so I shall instead giggle with joy and continue to brain-vomit up stupid ideas.
  3. It just occured to me that Mirelurks actually look like hunched up little old ladies. As such, they should end up looking like the Evil Witch from Snow White. Generic old lady combat noises optional. "Oh, my! And what do you do?" "Such a nice young man." "Would you like a biscuit?" This then gives us leave to dress up Ghouls in suits and stovepipe hats, with associated Upper Class tomfoolery.
  4. *Jensen voice* I didn't ask for this. My vision is augmented. Potentially go further than Kellogg - why have arm implants when you can have a whole arm? Lost your own arm? Have the scientists make a courser matching your DNA and take it's arm. Augmented limb bonuses: That limb can no longer be crippled / is #x more resistant to crippling - metal reinforcement to your bones etc (pain inhibitor won't really help if your leg is no longer mechanically capable of walking) Potential Leg Bonuses: Bonus move speed, bonus jump height, reduced fall damage, cripple resistance. Arm Bonuses: Massively reduced scope sway. Increased melee damage. (Increased melee attack speed?) Probably also agility bonus. Cripple resistance. Torso Bonuses: Increased carry weight. Damage resistance. Head Bonuses: Reduced headshot damage. Shame FO4 doesn't really model confusion effects, or it'd give resistance to that too.
  5. I think the success of DayZ is due to the popularity of the survival zombie apocalypse genre at the time, rather than because it was a conversion. Some of the most popular mods for Skyrim were based around survival too. Thing is, Fallout 4 already has survival and zombies by default. It's covered those two genres. It's even got base building aspects too. What would you change it to? Fantasy? We have Skyrim. Add dinosaurs? That'd be ARK. Theoretically you could remove the mutants and radiation and make it a civil war or something, or some sort of plague. A plot change, more than anything. Maybe turn it into a woodland survival simulator?
  6. That's extremely unfortunate. Although I imagine when F4SE is fully sorted there might be workarounds to it?
  7. The "Atom's Greatness" link goes to the Diner webpage. Maybe put the different groups in Spoiler tags?
  8. Survival Options, if you're into survival mode. Lets you tweak food/drink/fatigue decay times, damage multipliers (incoming and outgoing), disable / enable diseases, and gives you a quicksave item.
  9. Realism and actual science of rad storms aside, something allowing you to shelter in structures would be fantastic. It would allow people to play with harsher rad storms without making them unavoidably disruptive. Blowout soon, Stalker. (Some sort of pre-storm weather would help, or a HUD warning of approaching storms) I think rain MIGHT be an overlay / screen effect, rather than anything physical. Having said that, it does provide an idea for making buildings shelter from radiation - extend a zone downwards of roof / floor objects which protects the player from (some?) radiation. Although a potential side effect might be that some areas that should be irradiated are not (e.g the cabins in the glowing sea, although it would be nice if that bunker full of beds stopped the radiation enough to sleep).
  10. The real question is: What do Yao Gai, Redstags and Super Mutants wear? Wondering if maybe the Super Mutants should dress like maids instead... Or maybe tutus? Brahmin - cowboy hats? Yao Gai - Those Russian furry hats (forgot term) Radstag - Flat cap?
  11. Also ghouls in suits, top hats and monocles? "Posh Creatures Overhaul" Deathclaws with French maid hats and garter belts. Mirelurks in top hats. Mirelurk queens with crowns. Ghouls with bow ties.
  12. The only way to do that is to re-make the F-emale mesh around the male skeleton/body. Otherwise you have some horrific animations and clipping issues. (that's if the game would even load it?) Several modders have already done some edits to allow male characters to wear some "female" outfits.I guess? I was thinking more like when you make Preston wear the red sequin dress. Then charge at a super mutant with a baseball bat.
  13. I was thinking floor points as part of prefab shacks rather than walls. Not sure how it would work out, though.
  14. Huh. Combining with the existing "Wasteland" style prefabs would be awesome.
  15. I would like to add to this the request for wigs. As far as I know we currently have one (fabulous) wig in-game, but more is anyways appreciated. Sure, you can just jump into looksmenu for yourself, but that doesn't give you an easy and quick way to give Preston a mullet or Hancock a glorious afro. Lore friendly? Probably. Sensible? Probably not. Afro of +20 Energy Resistance? Priceless.
  16. I wonder if it would be possible to add a "mod" tier onto gear which allows you to change its "gender" style. Not sure if that would play nice with resulting model changes, though. Why? Because the option to force equip male NPCs with miniskirts is fabulous.
  17. Survival Options lets you tweak aspects of survival difficulty, so you can basically give it normal mode damage, regenerating limbs, no encumbrance damage, disable needing to sleep (turn off fatigue gain) etc. I believe it also supplies you with a quicksave item. You equip it to a favourites slot, and use it to save (I think its basically a never ending magical potion of Save Game) - it's not quicksave, but functionality it works out pretty much the same.
  18. What if you had a blank house with internal snap points for you to add beds etc to? I guess the entire lot would need to have it's own category and furniture versions (due to adding snap points to beds etc). Sort of a middle ground. The current mode is KNex, what OP was looking for is premade, and this would be Ikea Flat Pack Furniture. Sort of like Red Rocket Reborn (Can't check title, Phone :/)
  19. We almost need subcategories. Except I'm not sure how you'd categorise it. I feel pretty strongly that all the "Please port X character / armor / weapon from Y game" requests should have their own category. But that's mostly because I personally see them as less worthy than other original mods. Something to do with buying a game, then trying to make it a different game. But I digress! Categories might help, although I guess that's what post tags are for. Except they're rarely used, and I don't think you can edit them after posting. Might as well match the Nexus categories.
  20. I like that idea. Of course it still relies on a mod author being interested in doing it, but seeing plenty of upvotes on a mod might be incentive for some. Although that could end up with the entire first page becoming an echo chamber, with anything arriving later being doomed to oblivion.
  21. Thanks! That's hopefully the idea. And in having it, it'll allow people to go for 'harsher' mods which make the game more deadly. And yes, the deaths are terrible. Any current AAA game does deaths better. I think the main culprit is that it suddenly changes the camera with no sensible transition at all. (Might be worth trying to make a different mod that just changes the death camera to something less jarring?)
  22. That's something I'd love to see too. However, it's more something that would be implemented as an optional plugin if someone else made a mod with prosthetics. It'd need modelling and texturing and various wizardry. I'm hoping to make the mod also a framework type thing (is that the term?) so you can easily 'inject' your own variables and events into it. Say someone makes a mod that adds a new faction - they should be able to add it to the mod's "WSalv_Rescue_Factions" list easily. Keywords and all that jazz. Similar for companions, although that might be more complex... ANYWAY! The idea being that it's easy to tag / patch your mod's stuff into the overall mod.
  23. If it's in the vanilla game isn't it lore friendly by default? Bethesda's game, ergo it's fine. Having said that, I suspect Bethesda took Lore into a dark alleyway and beat it up a few times over the course of development.
  24. Be more specific. Do you want the PC to not need to drink water? Do you want no ponds? Do you want no ocean? Are you aware that the bottom of rivers / ocean looks like ass? (Please don't tell me you want the Modder to fix that too)
