  1. As tall as the mountains are, I'm frequently surprised there IS a sky. They could probably curve the whole world around in a "Hollow Earth" shape and I doubt I'd notice.
  2. "Storm on the horizon" would be an interesting feature for the inevitable "Better Skyrim Weather". I also think that the occasional *visible* lightening bolt would perk up the storms significantly.
  3. Want! Especially since there's both windmills AND real giants in the game. ^_^
  4. It's just me, but the Dragon Masks seem kinda creepy to me, and I don't find they match a lot of the armors, even the vanilla ones. I'm kinda hoping some thing a little more... um, "happy" might work better. You know the kind of thing, but here's a Google image search to illustrate my thinking: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1C2CHMI_enUS361&q=mardi+gras+masquerade+masks&gs_sm=3&gs_upl=5194l14964l0l15697l29l25l0l0l0l0l0l0ll1l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1031&bih=670&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=frdDT4b3GoHo0QGfipHoBw They can be as plain or as ornate as need be, but in my head they'd be more fun to wear if they weren't large, impassive, metal faces. Why children don't run in terror and shop owners refuse business while the player is wearing them I don't know.
  5. Good attitude. I look forward to seeing what you come up with. ^_^
  6. I like my armors and clothes to be fancy AND schmancy. If these exact armors aren't doable, then anything that looks like them will be fine with me. ^_^
  7. I don't know if I want a complete overhaul to WOW, but the weapons and armor would be fun. ^_^
  8. I could be happy if all there was was just an NPC carriage using the roads. It seems so empty out there, a few souls up and down the roads would really sell the plausibility of people living up there.
  9. I *could* make an argument that the killing of the critter *may* make some of the usable materials (pelts, in particular) UNusable, but that's mainly being pedantic. At least you can't kill a wolf and get 15 gold coins and a silver necklace, any treasure they do have is small enough to be plausibly swallowed. Maybe if there was a hunting and tracking skill, the higher you advanced in it the better (and better quality) drops you can pull from various critters. I can't believe the only thing useful on a skeever is a chunk of the tail-- those things are HUGE, sure'y there's a meal's worth of meat on them bones?
  10. Agreed. There's like fifty different armors, but mages get a bathrobe. You're pretty much stuck with either that or stripping the clothes off of some enemy (implying you're one of them). Civilian clothes wouldn't be so bad, but they're for civilians, and that just means wearing them means you look like just anyone. You're the freakin' Dovakiin, you deserve some individual duds.
  11. If anyone can figure out how to mod up a Grue, they would win the internet. *nodnod*
  12. How many times has this happened to you? You're walking along, minding your business, when suddenly your invisibility wears off and the guards kill you very dead. How many times has this happened to you? You're in a battle, trying very hard not to die, and suddenly your ward spell wears off and the necromancers kill you very dead. How many times has this happened to you? You're knee deep in spiders, your brain reeling from the "EW EW EW" factor, when suddenly your atronach winks out of existence, leaving you alone and killed very dead. There are a large number of temporary effects in Skyrim, and it is more that somewhat useful to know hpow much time is left before they run out. Some kind of meter or clock or something would be very useful, if anyone care to give such a project a try.
  13. I would love to be able to adopt a kid, train her to be my squire and sidekick, and travel the lands as Dovahkin and Dovahkinder. As long as they have brains enough to not shoot me or wander into MY shot, and to run (very fast) from fights they are clearly outmatched in and could be designated as essential, at least.
  14. Well, actually porting something from an Oblivion mod pretty much requires the permission of the original mod creator. The Creation Kit can allow you to create a whole new race and monkey with those stats, but exactly how is beyond my ability to understand, let alone explain. If just the ears and tail are enough, there's a mod for that, which I can't find because Nexus is having a logjam in their servers. But as soon as I can, I'll post that link. **Edit** Found it! http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6150 You may also like to know about a set of claws that (also) can be forged with easily obtainable ingredients: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5910 It's not the same as a full on actual race, but it's good enough for visuals.
  15. Because BOTH of you are out of line, here-- we're supposed to be talking about Skyrim mods, not who's better at what. Some of us thought it would be cool and fun to have a mod that made Skyrim look like Final Fantasy. If there are people who disagree, THEY ARE ALLOWED TO. They are ALSO at liberty to NOT USE those mods if they DON'T WANT TO. If the Disagreers think there's too many anime mods, I'm Sorry; there's nothing we can do about that. It's not going to stop us from making them, so your choice is to either make more mods they way YOU want them and try to outnumber the anime mods, or build your own Nexus and exclude what you don't want. And for you Agreers, insulting the Disagreers and calling them names does NOT help our case. Veil it in whatever you like, you're just being just as troll-ish as you think they're being. Now, everybody, let's DROP this and get back to "Hey wouldn't it be cool if..." before the mods shut this thread down and eject every last one of us.
  16. It's a reference to a game element in Portal 2, another game available through Steam. The "Cores" are artificially intelligent computers (the engineers apparently decided they needed to look like basketball-sized eyeballs) that were intended to aid a much larger computer do its job. I'm leaving out a LOT of detail, but at the end of the game some of the cores got lost in space, where they (if you download the Space Core mod from Steam Workshop) eventually arrive in Tamriel. Well, one of them lands, the other kind of orbits around the Perk trees. There's a lot more involved, but that's the gist of it.
  17. Don't see why not. Maybe it could use the Circlet slot, but be modeled further down on the face, like a mask.
  18. The cat should also teleport to the player's location (but not the exact spot he/she is standing on) if they get separated. I don't mean "PWOUF!" I mean "Oh, there you are."
  19. Y'know, I think I'd like to see some wild unicorns, too. Protected by Hircine as unhuntable or else consequences most dire. CONSEQUENCES. MOST. DIRE.
  20. If it actually removes dirt from my character, then I'm for that. If not, pass. ^_^
  21. As cool as this idea is (and it's really cool), one thing that concerns me is: if I decide I simply MUST wear a Forsaken armor set, will every guardsman feel compelled to attack me until I strip? If I wear an Imperial uniform, will the Stormcloaks try to kill me on sight? By rights, they should... but if I REALLY like that look, I'm kinda stuck.
  22. Yeah, I just wanted some cool looking mods. Seriously, it's not worth the heart attack, people.
  23. I was thinking snow storms and super-high elevations could/should cause a drop in stamina, resistable by the Nords and other locals but for the Kahjiit, the Redgaurd, and the Bretons (who I imagine as being more temperate climate natives) and such they'd suffer a penalty, depending on the intensity and duration of the exposure. I'd also like to see an amulet modeled to resemble a scarf to negate that penalty, mostly as a recognition that it's freaking cold in the mountains of Skyrim. Maybe a matching woolly hat. ^_^
  24. Maybe, maybe not. Until the word from On High comes down, it's better to stick with the rules as set by Nexus, which is "Don't copy stuff that belongs to someone else." Nothin' saying talented imitations are out-of-bounds, though. Me, I'd love to be able to carry around a chatty Wheatley clone who comments on whatever's going on, but an ACTUAL Wheatley core wouldn't be localized enough to carry the joke. Only a so-called talented imitation would be good enough carry it off.
  25. Uh, you DO know there's a tag search on Nexus, you can unflag the tags that you don't want, like "Anime", "Unrealistic", and "Humor, Joke or Just for Fun". So, just let us have OUR fun, ok?
