  1. Seconded, Thirded, Fourthed, motion carried. Please please PLEASE make this happen. ^_^
  2. Whomever makes this mod will win the Nexus. A series of clips from the original show, showcasing the concept: http://youtu.be/5jr7XBOJQBk A Minecraft mod demonstrating the execution and humor value: Is it possible? Who knows.. but dang, if it is, OMG what fun. ^_^
  3. *What* fat body mesh? Are you thinking of a specific one, and if so, where is it?
  4. Control. Someone involved, who thinks success of a given project is determined exclusively by the bottom line (this kind of business employee I like to call a "Suit") figures, "screw Nexus, they don't make any money off of mods, so *we* should." This individual has more clout and authority than practical experience or knowledge about whatever the hell he's talking about, and is able to make things like Steam Workshop happen whether they work or not, and so it gets done... and so does the modding community. I would very much like to be wrong about this, of course. I *want* the people who've earned my money to get it, and I'll happily give them more if they offer product(s) worth buying. But the Suit? He can take a long walk off a short pier, as far as I'm concerned.
  5. I did actually know that. In fact I've been advocating people playing the way they want to since I came to this forum. I'm mildly insulted that you felt the need to say that. What I meant was, a mod that is so over-complicated and bends the game engine in ways it wasn't originally intended MAY, and probably WILL, have a detrimental effect on how well it performs in the areas for which it WAS designed, and that given my choices I'd rather do without such a mod. IF things can be done simply, without loss of performance, fine. I'm simply saying that we should keep in mind that this game was intended to be for things like combat and landscapes, as opposed to simulations and high-maintenance decision trees. I never said the idea was an unworthy one. Only that if it's going to break my game I'd rather not use it.
  6. That'd work, although there's times when you want to over take them, or other times when not being able to overtake them is part of the game-- specifically monsters or prey when hunting. It's a good idea, I just imagine it'd be challenging to execute, is all.
  7. Good Lord, it's like you live in my head. Now get out, I need to fumigate for ants. ^_^ Yes, I've been pushing for a heavier shape as well, for similar reasons... my mage stayed back and let her followers do most of the melee stuff, only getting involved when need be-- so of course she'd be less 'exercise enhanced'. There's other reasons, too-- being a Breton, instinct would be for her to pack on a few pounds as insulation against the Skyrim winters, and who doesn't want to be more fluffly and cuddly, anyway? ^_^ For a female shape I personally am pushing for something similar to SPB Curvaceous by Trashdog, and for guys, I dunno... There was a mod for Fallout New Vegas called Chunky Duncan but I think that's a model lifted directly from the game... and it's not all that wonderful a shape, anyway, IMHO. It's possible to weigh 300 lbs. and still be a hunk-a-hunk-a-burnin' love, and this IS a fantasy game.. may as well enjoy the fantasy, right? And also; yes, I'd like these options to be available more to me than to the rest of the world... I like being unique compared to everyone else, no sense having flaming hair if every one else's head is on fire too.
  8. Eh, I try not to over think it. It's mildly annoying, yes, but if you have *too much* immersion, there's folks out there who will fall into the game mentally and never come back. Think of it as Bethesda's sense or responsibility to remind you you need to pee every few hours. ^_^
  9. Well, let's not go *crazy*... this is Skyrim, not The Sims. ^_^ There's only so much the game engine can manage, and I'd rather do without marriage at all if an improvement is gonna pull cycles away from everything else and make loading times drag on forever.
  10. Yeah, I was gathering myself up to request this, too. One article of clothing for head to toe is boring, at least with shirts and pants (or blouses and aprons, or body stockings and tunics, etc., etc.) players would be able to have SOME level of uniquness in the world. I mean, I'm the freakin' Chosen One, don't I at least get a hat with a whistle on it or something?
  11. Fun, yes. Easy to make and have work correctly? I'm not feelin' it as much. ^_^
  12. By my observations, I *think* walk speed is determined by character height... thus a Nord walks considerably faster than a Breton. What ever gets done to work on this issue would have to deal with that, I think.
  13. I say Thpppt :P (respectfully) to Shiholude and Huntsman2310, I'd like to see some varying body shapes in the game as well. The trouble is I think there is exactly ONE body model for all the playable races, change one and I think you change 'em all. I could be wrong, of course. Varying body shapes is *possible*, I believe, but not simple, at least with the tools available.
  14. If anyone's taking suggestions for new shapes, I'd be delighted for someone to make something comparable to this: SPB Curvaceous by Trashdog A direct conversion may not be possible, or at least practical, but this size and curviness would be most welcome. While I don't have a problem with the musclebound warriors with six-pack abs and veins a-poppin', the characters I play tend to be less... um, exercise-enhanced, shall we say. Haters gonna hate, of course, but I'm hoping that there's enough lovers out there to make this happen. ^_^
  15. I'm not personally as enamored with HD quality textures (my system chokes enough on loading, thank you), but I would LOVE for all the default clothing being converted as-is, without skimpy-ing or sexy-fying them-- just the clothes, properly tailored. Also, no wedgies, no "pectoral wedgies", no unnecessary messing around; just the clothes being clothes. Well I guess we can accommodate a little skin here and there, but don't over do it. There's plenty of mods that do, I'm hoping for a mod to give those mods something to work against. ^_^
  16. There's a lot of tools laying around we can't do diddly-squat with. I picked up a hammer the other day thinking it might be useful in smithing or something... nope, it's just clutter. I say, if it's in the game, we should be able to do SOMEthing with it, however inane that task might be.
  17. The clothes I would most want for this kind of mod would be pretty much like the clothes that are already there, just adjusted for size. The mostly-naked ones, while amusingly pandering, kind of wear thin for me after a while, I'd kinda like to see either the clothes being normal, and simply tailored correctly or adjusted/torn because they *don't* fit correctly. I don't mean painfully squished flesh under explosive pressure (blech), I mean a popped button or two, a torn seam along the sides, and/or some extra stitching to take up the slack. I'm talking Subtle-like. The H-Cup is attention-getting enough, it's a lot more sexy (in my mind) to let the imagination carry the rest of the burden. It's one thing to see fully naked bosoms, it's another to catch a glimpse of cleavage. ^_~ I know I'll be in the minority about this, but I'm hoping there'll be enough positive feelings about this to at least make it worth someone's while. ^_^
  18. Well, that's fine.... what does one do BEFORE then, though?
  19. Just as good would be being able to shut lights *off*, particularly if you're a sneaky-thief trying very hard not to be noticed. While the lighting braziers are one thing, the candles, seriously, should be a simple matter to blow out.
  20. Here, leezard, leezard, leezard.....
  21. I re-rolled my character and discovered, yes, it is actually kinda hard to get a dragon's attention without magic, followers or other NPCs shooting arrows at it, or an atronach blasting away. But, I HAVE discovered a few things, for anyone needing such info: When they appear dragons seem to circle over three or so areas in a given pattern, to me it looks kinda link a three looped figure eight. Going to one of those areas seems to draw the dragons' attention, and makes them more likely to attack. (Keep an eye out for trolls, bandits, or other baddies-- Dragons seem to find them before you do, and fighting melee battles on three or more fronts is best avoided, ideally.) The other thing, useful if you're halfway up a mountain or some other very-difficult-to-navigate-quickly terrain, is the Shouts seem to work VERY nicely at getting a dragon's attention. Most spells seem pretty useless to me for this purpose, as are arrow, since the dragons move WAY to quickly to get a decent hit, but Shouts have a much wider cone of influence-- like the difference between a rifle and a shotgun, one is focused, the other is scattershot. Doesn't work 100% but I seem much more likely to get at least a partial hit, which can be enough to pull aggro, so to speak.
  22. I'm a bit of a packrat in-game, and one of the things that frustrates me in Oblivion, the Fallouts, and now Skyrim is the lack of being able to customize storage. I don't simply have "Apparel"; I have clothes, I have gloves, I have shoes, I have armor pieces both in full sets and random bits. I have jewelry, both plain, enchanted, and for sale. I have shields-- I'm not even sure that really counts as apparel, anyway, since it's a wieldable thing. And that's just ONE out of several categories within the broad terms of the inventory system. The point is, I'd like to buy a jewelry box for the rings and amulets, and a wardrobe for the clothes, barrels for fruit, chests for ore, and so on. Since the player's house(s) is supposed to be a stable place to leave stuff, I don't know why containers would be any more difficult than anything else. I'm sure there's a reason, but I'm hoping my ignorance of it skips over that little hurdle. ^_^
  23. Dont know what cell shading is, and i was only thinking about trying skyrim in cartoon graphics to see how that works:P Is itpossible to download that mod?:P "Cell shading" is the simple term for what you're asking for-- flat colors, thick border lines, etc. Depending on how it's executed, it can actually *increase* FPS-- I bring to your attention to The Retro Project, which is a handy-dandy mod whose ultimate goal is to re-do the textures to look like old fashioned 8-bit games, or the more recent Minecraft. Many of the comments are about how impressed they are at how much better the game runs-- perhaps because the textures are reduced in size (rather than increased, like most texture mods) by a significant margin. The Mod suggested by ZombieInfected is referred to as TF2 Mode, (As in 'Team Fortress 2') and as far as I know is not a mod in the sense that it's a plug-in like most of what you see on the Nexus, but rather a result of tweaks and adjustments to the game itself... basically you turn off *all* textures to get it to look like that, is my understanding. How to do it is a bit beyond me, though, so I'm hoping someone *will* post a simple set of instructions on Nexus at some point.
  24. Aw, c'mon! Being greedy is half the fun! ^_^
