  1. I cant get the version 2.49b to work along with the accompanying programs from the above link, it opens halfway and doesnt respond at all. Does it matter that my machine is 64 bit and the four programs are 32 bit? I know that you are not supposed to mix and match 32 with 64. Frustrating because the newer versions of Blender work on my machine with no problems. :wallbash:
  2. refat, I only played her a few days, let me see if I can find anything.

xb7bk, I will PM you as Im not sure what you are talking about.

  3. This is a good place to start for Skyrim modding Blender NIF Tutorial Im not having much luck with the Blender 2.49b used in the tutorial myself, it just hangs up on my machine where as I can use the newer version Blender 2.62 with no trouble, would anyone know why that would be the case?
  4. Bloated Man's Grotto is beautiful IMO, its an interior cell that looks like an exterior so no LOD issues regardless of you rig and settings. There are critters that arent too friendly there but that could be changed in the CK.
  5. This should work in your case of an editted NPC but it does not work for newly created characters. Here's a technique that helps when modifying an NPC from the base game. •Locate some pre-existing NPC. I chose Hadvar. •Edit the Actor > Character Gen Parts tab. I decided to make a drastic lip color change •Click MaleHeadNord_Lips.dds in the left-sice "Face Tint Layers" list •Click "Select Color" - choose something extreme, like a neon green •Slide "Interpolation Value" all the way to the right (1.0) •Click OK •In the Object Window, find the base Actor you've just edited. •With the Actor(s) selected, press ctrl+F4. Click "Yes" when prompted to export. •This will create a DDS and a TGA in ...\Syrim\data\Textures \Actors\Character\FaceGenData\FaceTint\Skyrim.esm •Note: The TGA is not really neccessary, as the DDS should be uncompressed. •With these textures in place, run the game and test your NPC. Note that the plugin changes need not be saved.
  6. I found a fix that works for pre existing/editted NPCs, it does not work for newly created NPCs. This is from one of the staff on the Beth forums, I tried it, it works and it is quite easy. 9. Same issue here, with New Vegas simply converting the esp to an esm would clear it up for the most part but I tried it using TESsnip on the CK made esp and converted it to esm but it doesnt solve this issue.
  10. I am having the exact same issue with a character that I editted. I will report back if I can find a fix.
  11. Thank you for the link, I checked my DNS settings and everthing is set to automatic which I haven't changed. No problems today, heres hoping things are back to normal, I'm going to take down these images, no point in them taking up space any longer. Thanks again guys for all you do. Cheers
  12. I have no problems with it but I am using the overide method with the ini changes and the esps removed but I wouldnt recommend you do that until you know if your rig and settings can run the HD first. You might want to try unclicking the two HD esps in the Data file menu and then running the game just to get some idea as to wether it is related to the HD pack as a start.
  13. Hopefully there are some in the modding community that will make it so.
  14. OP, you might want to try restarting your computer and then restarting Steam.
  15. All this I have posted so far is IE9 and Windows7, I tried Google Chrome and got error message "Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): Unable to resolve the server's DNS address." the first time and the same missing thumbnails issue each time after, I tried CTRL+F5 with it as well.
  16. CTRL+F5 reloads it but it still looks the same, do you suppose setting the DNS servers in the network settings to use Googles like you mentioned a little over a week ago in the comments section would help with this?
  17. At the moment the view images page is looking like this, that is the first time that I have noticed the older thumbs working and the newer ones not, it might have been that way all along Im not certain. The command result looks like it did before for ping static.nexusmods.com and like this for ping static.skyrimnexus.com like it did the first time. Im not sure how I got the other result but I know the difference is usually when I paste ping static.skyrimnexus.com after the command prompt it automatically spits out the first result, the one time that I pasted it and it did nothing I hit enter and it did the second result here which I cant seem to repeat without it spitting out the first result automatically.
  18. Here is the ping static.nexusmods.com results, this one was the one that I was describing with just the last line different, I'm guessing thats not right. After hitting enter this time I get this, hope it helps. Also the thumbs are down again let me catch a screen and try the commands again.
  19. This is what comes up at the moment with the Skyrim view images thumbnails working ping static.skrimnexus.com The other command result is identical with the exception of the last line, also sorry for the image, I do not see a way to copy from DOS. With the thumnails working at the moment I suppose that wont be very helpful, I will repeat these again if and when I see the thumbnails down and will catch a screen of them down now that I know how if that helps as well.
  20. Ok, thank you guys, the thumbs are visible at the moment, but I will try it for the sake of practice anyways.
  21. I will try it just as soon as I figure out how, lol. Seems as if not many people are having this problem so probably it is just a setting somewhere that needs to be changed. Thank you for your help on this and for all of the behind the scenes work you are doing for us.
  22. The thumbnails are down again View images, just red x in the white box alonside the image titles for IE9, also same problem on Google Chrome showing their icon and image title but no thumbnail. Each image page itself shows up fine and the image is fine, its just that the view image gallery pages thumbnails are not there for all of the Skyrim view images pages with the exception of the supporters images gallery pages thumbnails which are uneffected.
  23. The thumbs are working at the moment again, when it does happen it is every image thumbnail on the view images gallery pages for Skyrim Nexus. The actual image page for each image and each image itself are fine whenever it happens just the thumbnails as viewed from the view images pages.View images Also it doesnt effect the thumbs on the supporters images gallery pages whenever it happens for some reason. I was hoping that it could be a matter of it needing 24 hours to fix itself on our end similar to what you guys changed last week which could still be the case as your previous post timestamp and mine are less than 24 hours apart depending on when you completed your changes. I will post back later in the day either way and let you know what it looks like.
  24. The thumbs are down again for the Skyrim image share, just the thumbs on the view images pages, the individual image pages and images themselves are fine. FO3, New Vegas, TES, are all good, results are the same for IE9 and Google Chrome.
