  1. As a werewolf I must say that I love the Thalmor... nom, nom, except for maybe the armored ones.
  2. You are right, I ran into the same thing using it on Lydia, need the CK it would seem.
  3. Level 43 Nord, battlemage. Destruction 100 Smithing 94 One handed 92 Heavy armor 90 Enchanting 73 Archery 59 I regret maxing destruction first, I put most of my level ups into magicka to use it and still find myself going to the bow to get things done at range often times.
  4. From what I have read they have a habit of reverting back to their own gear if done the reverse pickpocket route, I havent tried it myself. I stumbled across a woman in Markarth wearing "tavern clothes" a bit of a ragged looking dress not sure if that is what you are after OP, the id# is 000d191f.
  5. *Edit* This is not 100 percent effective as they tend to try to revert to their old gear regardless. Console commands should do it. Open console, click on your spouse, "showinventory" should bring up her inventory. Find the id number of the item that you want to remove and use the "removeitem(space)item id#(space)1". You will need the item number of the item that you want to give her, use the "equipitem(space)item id#(space)1" command to give her the new clothing.
  6. Is the Skyrim Supporters Images section up and running? I couldn't upload anything and from my end there isnt a single image posted.
  7. I keep hoping for a mod similar to Real Time Settler, how cool would it be to be able to build your own village in Skyrim? I prefer Whiterun of the three houses I have so far, Riften and Solitude being the others, mostly for the location and the commerce not to mention the Companions guild.
  8. Nord battle mage, although destruction appears to be nerfed this time around. I do more ranged damage with Archery 51 ebony bow/arrow than I do with Destruction 91 fireball spell much to my dismay.
  9. It doesn't add much to the game for me other than having a 24 hour vendor in home although she does usually have a filled grand soul gem or two for sale which is nice... you would think that she would at least offer me a discount.
  10. It seems like the main chain of quests that enable you to buy the house revolve around the skooma addict Argonian from the fishery. I had also done the firesalts for the blacksmith, the sword retreival for the bravehart makeup girl, as well as helping the forgetful mage elf with something, I dont remember what it was, as well as the Argonian with the lexicon. I did about three dragon bounties for the steward but those seemed more like they were for income than anything. Seems like you do the skooma chain and help maybe three or four others randomly.
  11. In the past week I have gotten very little sleep, have not eaten well at all, skipped work, and my wife is mumbling something about being a widow... I place the blame squarely on Skyrim, curse you Bethesda!
  12. I'm having a blast so far no complaints. I waited this long because I figured that the transformation would be mandatory, when I discovered that it was something that we can activate I jumped right in. The passive bonus idea mentioned above "like wolfs either follow you or dont attack you," sounds like a great idea for a mod but I disagree on being able to deactivate at will as I feel there should be drawbacks as well.
  13. I think that a lot of it has to do with how we build our characters. I go for the perks that will help my gameplay the most and it works out ok so far but Im only at level 19. I have Destruction at 53 and eight perks (nearly half of them) One handed at 51 and four perks, Enchanting and Smithing at 42 each, Archery, Heavy Armor, Speech, Lockpicking and Sneaking at around 30, and the rest mostly unchanged. I would focus more on Heavy Armor but the perks seem not so useful to me, I imagine that will be my characters biggest weakness as I level up. If you are saying that we are limited in our character builds as far a combat level then I agree. It wouldn't be so bad if say a character like a thief who majors in things such as Sneak, Lockpicking, etc. could avoid major combat scenarios like you describe but the truth of the matter is you cannot advance the game quests very far without doing so which means we are rather limited in character builds that can keep up. I am hoping for some magic and weapon mods that help tip the scales so that I can put more points into a more balanced character.
  14. Kudos to you. I looked it up like you said and it turned out to be Rockjoint, prayed at the altar of Talos and was cured. I will save the potion for in the field.
  15. I hadnt heard any such comment until I reached Whiterun so I checked my previous saves and my stats were 0 disease up until then. Im playing as a Nord, the NPCs apparently know when you are ill. Everthing that I have read mentions being attacked by a werewolf, I was attacked by a wolf during the daytime so maybe I just have rabies.
  16. Is there any way to determine what disease you have? After three people in Whiterun told me that I am not looking well I checked my stats and sure enough I have contracted a disease between saves. The only close encounters with animals were two elk and a wolf on the way from Riverwood to Whiterun. I didnt even think about it after I killed the wolf until I got to Whiterun and heard peoples comments. I picked up some potion of cure disease from Arcadia which claims it will cure all diseases but I am going to hold off on using it and see what happens.
  17. Tfc 1 - free camera freeze Tm - toggle menus Setscale # - set scale
  18. Six hours to go here, I'm thinking to watch "The 13th Warrior" Dvd to pass the time and stoke the mood. I plan on leaving for the Gamestop midnight launch around 10:30, almost there.
  19. For Fallout 3 you can use Real Time Settler to blueprint light sources such as fire barrels, console codes work as well, they can be repositioned using Real Time Settler or Feng Shui mods. For Oblivion you can use drop lit torches although the ones I use are temporary, might be able to change in the CS, also Tonas Mods Store sells working Lanterns that are moveable, never tried the console codes but that might be an option as well. Just saying if there is a will, there is a way.
  20. Take a seat, fire up the disc, kiss my wife, grab a beer, curse my slow internet connection while Steam does its thing. Once in Skyrim, find the nearest town, take a seat by the fire, grab a wife, kiss my beer, and sing praises to Bethesda.
  21. The magic without a doubt. Fallout 3 was my introduction to these types of games, then I discovered Oblivion where I could shoot fireballs and lightning bolts from my fingertips. :woot:

  23. I was just grumbling about that yesterday, then again I was never very good with the shield anyways.
  24. Very entertaining and informative, thank you. Note to self, when in a hurry, dont walk when you can ride.
  25. The gameworld of FO3 is much more interesting but FNV gameplay is more refined being the newer game IMO. If atmosphere and exploration are important to you than you will probably enjoy Fallout3. I would go for the GOTY edition because the included DLCs will allow you to use more mods if you are into mods. Cheers
