The Skyrim image thumbnails are good at the moment, they have been on again, off again for the last couple days, good to know that the problem isnt on this end. :thumbsup:

Assasin/Thief - light armor, bow, one hand, sneak is what I am currently playing and its gotten kind of boring where combat is concerned being mostly one shot bow and one handed kills from sneak but it is fun to roleplay. Battlemage - heavy armor, one hand, destruction, restoration, might be to your liking, it was definitely a challenge for me and exciting where combat is concerned as destruction is underpowered, the rolepaying part of it wasnt as fun though IMO.

I have been getting the same problem for about the past 24 hours. TES, FO3, and New Vegas Nexus are all fine, the Skyrim imageshare thumbnails worked fine a few times today but more often than not they are not visible. Currently they are not visible but the thumbnails in the Skyrim supporters image section are, currently using IE9 and also tried Google chrome with the same results.

My first playthrough was a Nord male battlemage, tank character who would clank into a room full of baddies and all heck would break loose. Perks were mostly in heavy armor, destruction, one handed, and the obligatory for me smithing/enchanting. The gameplay was more difficult and exciting for me. My current playthrough is a Breton female thief/assasin character who usually takes out most of the baddies before she is even noticed. Perks are mostly in light armor, archery, sneak, and the obligatory smithing/enchanting. This character is more efficient but the gameplay is not so exciting even after turning up the difficulty.

Leveling up is no longer the mess that it was in Oblivion, the graphics and the gameworld are greatly improved IMO, combine them with a good ENB to increase immersion particularly with regards to dungeons and nights, the music and sounds are fine as is. Played a Nord Battlemage first playthrough, heavy armor, one handed, destruction magic, etc, friend to the Companions, enemy of the Thieves guild. This time around its a Breton Thief/assassin, light armor, archery, sneak, etc, next time it might be an Orc Beserker or Wizardly Mage, the sky is the limit and with the arrival of the CK even that will change. If I start to get bored with gameplay I delve into modding my game (I spent days trying to perfect an ENB to my liking) editting images for the Nexus image share, or perusing the forums related to the game, so yeah a game like this is the best bang for the buck for someone like me as opposed to most games that I play for a few weeks and then lose interest in. Yes the UI is terrible, yes Bethesda is a company out to make money, no Im not a fanboy, given a choice of what to do with my free time this winter I will gladly spend it in Skyrim chasing elk across the frozen tundra as a vampire in my skivvies for no good reason other than I can and its fun for me and I understand that may not be everyones idea of a good time although personally I dont see why not. :psyduck: Cheers

Im not going to say what grade I would give this game, I will just say that I have logged 445 hours so far and the number will be at least double that before too long. Thank you Bethesda, modders, and the Nexus community who all desrve the hype, kudos, credit, love, etc. :thumbsup:

I use console code "fov 10" as a makeshift telescope during gameplay, console "fov 70" goes back to default view.

Yep, he is back from the dead in my game, the Companions questline is the only one that I have completed on my current playthrough and he died in the Silverhand quest some time ago. I went looking for Farkas for some heavy armor training in the middle of the night, everyone is in their beds and I tend to forget which one is which so I just run from room to room checking each bed. I was very surprised to find Skjor in his bed sleeping, he had no dialogue options, he seemed very annoyed that I woke him up.

If the mod is not to your liking you can also add a full size arcane enchanter (the mod I tried had the small table top version) to Breezehome via console commands. Type "help arcane 0" to bring up the id #. Type "player.placeatme ######## 1" to spawn the table. Left click the table with the console open and type "rotate x 220" or whatever number looks right. If you over do it with the number simply "rotate x - ###" to whatever looks right. Rotate command also works for the Y and Z axis the same way although I only needed X. Also if the table is too large you can shrink it to fit by left clicking it with the console open and typing "setscale .8" or whatever number looks best. I put mine in the empty area next to the alchemy table and no longer have to run up to Dragonsreach.

You can add things to your home without mods by opening the console and using the... help ______ 0 ...command. Example, help arcane 0, brings up item IDs including the "arcane enchanter" which is the enchanting table. You can then use the... player.placeatme ______ 1 ...command to place it and then the... rotate x 180 ...command to adjust the position. (substitute y/z for x according to wichever axis you want to adjust and any large number including negatives for 180 to rotate.) I generally add the enchanter to the back room of Breezehome and a shrine to Akatosh on the rock just outside the door.

Being a Premium or Supporter member causes your +1/-1 to be +99/-99 for reps on your pages, nothing nefarious at work. If the page disappeared after he -99 repped, chances are someone pissed him off and he removed it or set it to hidden.

210 hours and level 51 here. I like exploring the map but it appears that I am running out of new map markers. Only followed the main quest to just past the Thalmor embassy part and am going to continue to take my time on it. Just joined the Dark Brotherhood, I was going to hold off on joining some of the guilds on the first playthrough but I think that the Thieves guild is all that remains. I cant picture a giant Nord, heavy armor, knocking down doors and laying waste to everything character as a stealthy thief. Didnt plan to join the Bards either but ended up doing so just to get rid of three quests items in my inventory that I was tired of lugging around. Hopefully the CK will be out before too long so we can start customizing big, I keep scouting around the map looking for a good player home location.

I wish that were true but sadly that is not the case.

I have not had any quests "broken" but I do have a ton of quest items in my inventory that I find myself looking to get rid of. :facepalm:

You might try unchecking mods, opening your steam menu "view games library", right clicking on Skyrim, clicking "properties", "local files", "verify integrity of game cache".

44 years old here, having a great time reading the posts, its nice to find a mature thread. I remember my dad bringing home a contraption called Pong and hooking it up to the television back in the late 70s. Here were these pixelated paddles on the TV and we were in control, I was in awe. I remember a game called Dragons Lair hitting the arcades when I was in high school. The line was usually so long that I had to content myself with watching others play which may not have been a bad thing considering the cost of play and the seeming difficulty. It was the first time I had seen an animated video game and I was in awe. In 1984 I got my first job working for my girlfriends father at his computer store. They were nice enough to allow me to take home an Apple Macintosh on occasion, it had its own carrying case and a graphical user interface with some weird new thing called a mouse, I was in awe. Not so long ago I was roaming the Capital Wasteland of Fallout3 one evening and was stumped on a quest so I went to Youtube in search of answers. What I found I couldnt believe my eyes, characters that I knew from countless hours of wasteland travels were dancing, yes dancing. How could this be? I followed the links that lead me to Nexus and discovered a plethora of mods, images, and community of people who also enjoy gaming, and I am in awe.

I've searched high and low on the internet and cant find the answer to this. Somewhere along the line I picked up Hjalti's Sword, I dont remember where and it is marked as a quest item so I cant get rid of it. I tried stowing it on my house weapon rack in the meantime but the inventory weight penalty of 12 still remains. I really would like to get rid of this thing without console commands but I cant find the quest related to it. :psyduck:

Console command: setstage favor250 20 favor250 is the quest for becoming thane of Markarth stage 20 is when you have bought a house and done 5/5 objectives. After becoming thane by talking to the Jarl, you can then talk to his steward, and he will finally sell you a house, for some stupid reason.

I was doing that until I realized that the weight penalty was not removed from my inventory total so I figured why bother. :rolleyes:

It wasn't on my list either until I installed the 290.36 drivers, also I have the show only programs found on this computer box checked on, after I did that it appeared on the list.

The latest generation of consoles arrived on the seen more than five years ago now, the developers are still basing the newest games on that old tech... bummer. :(

Its looking better with the 290.36 in my opinion, now the dark areas are truly dark as I imagine they are supposed to be. I always left the torches at home, now I find mysellf using them in some dungeon areas. I used the previous 285.62 also beta with no issues so I dont hesitate to use this one, if you are unsure you can always keep your old drivers just in case and roll back to them.
