  1. Nope. Boston will still stutter. It's a shadows and draw distance thing.
  2. Console port. If they haven't fixed it yet, they wont. Apparently 30fps is acceptable to them. As long as the consoles can run it, screw the rest.
  3. If you checked your mods and none of them seem to be causing this, then it must be some other software setting on your part. Not an NVidia user myself, but maybe check those settings first. Also keep in mind that most of the time, alterations made by mods get baked into the savegame and may continue having an effect, even if you have since long deleted those mods. Reset Nvidia settings to default. No change. Opted for a fresh install. Will see how that goes.
  4. As I said, 90% of the game is perfect at Ultra. By perfect I mean never dropping below the minimum standard of 60fps. It's the few areas around Boston that drop that are the issue I am having. And we have already confirmed that this is not a hardware problem but an optimisation/engine issue. Nothing can be done by the user.
  5. No it's not. Ther's a huge difference between broken and buggy. Broken is unplayable, as in, can't move down the storyline from start to finish without getting stuck somewhere in-between. Buggy is, well, it has bugs. The only thing really broken here is your record, as the needle jumps in the same spot over and over again. You were correct as far as the assessment goes that there's stutter and lag in certain areas. Sure. Most of us have been able to tone it down by tweaking through ini-files and mods, some new hardware, or a combination of both. We also shrugged, adjusted our feathers and moved on... I suggest you do the same. It's subjective then I suppose. I find it broken. The game is far more than the few places you stutter through, so, hey... Yeah it is... And I enjoy it a lot. I just don't want this kind of poor optimisation to become any sort of accepted phenomenon. Far too many AAA releases are suffering in the optimisation department.

  7. Nope. Haven't found the culprit. My mod list is tiny too. I only have the basic essentials. I have: 'UFO4P' 'Darker Nights' 'Achievements' 'ENBoost' 'Glowing Animals Emit Light' 'Full Dialogue Interface' 'Enhanced Flickering Firelight' - I thought this might fix it. It didn't, but it made fire light look better... 'FAR' And 'Vivid Fallout Series' That's it. Only disabling ENBoost fixed it for a time, however the issue came back again.
  8. There's no two ways about it. Fallout 4 is broken. Surprise, surprise...
  9. Another case of if they couldn't do it right, they shouldn't have done it at all.
  10. I get this in any armour when facing certain directions. Anyone found a fix yet?
  11. Have you all found the Skyrim Easter egg in DOOM?
  12. I've tried everything other than upgrading hardware. I run an i5-4690k OC'd to 4.2GHz, a GTX 1080 and 16GB of DDR3 RAM 1600MHz. Nothing I do fully removes the stuttering in certain areas in Boston.
  13. Sure... Except my rig can't handle FO4 at medium without stuttering in places.
  14. It's all just Easter eggs. There's no mixed lore. In films today, Easter eggs are thrown into terrible films to get fanboys to go watch them. There are people out there that will buy a ticket just to see some reference or throwback to something else. Take the Marvel cinematic universe. Absolutely pointless and garbage films yet people pay to watch them because they feed their sense of nostalgia or fandom concerning certain characters. Majority of 'fans' have never even read a comic book but now feel such a strong allure to Iron Man or Spiderman. Lol, a trailer featuring Spiderman sold most of the tickets for Civil War! And we all should very well know how awful that garbage was! Easter eggs can still be fun and innocent though. I enjoyed the one in Far Cry Primal nodding back to Blood Dragon. A Million Ways to Die in the West had a brilliant one from Back to the Future... The ones in TES and Fallout are innocent and fun too.
  15. The fact is, sure, anyone is free to have a boner for Nazis or whatever. But then the rest of us are also free to say they're dysfunctional morons. Freedom of speech goes both ways, if that's what they actually want. If they're free to say offensive things about a minority or two, hell, I'm free to say my own offensive things about the minority of supremacist idiots. Exactly what I said in the rest of my post. Glad you agree.
  16. You cannot have freedom then turn around and say 'oh, but you can't do this...'. Anyone can do anything, but if it harms another or restricts their freedom then there are consequences. So let the Nazi flag fly if that's your thing. Want a giant crucifix in your yard? GO FOR IT! Don't want to bake a cake for homosexuals? OKAY! Feel like standing on the sidewalk and screaming about everything from religion to racism? BE MY GUEST! I'm free to either agree or think you insane. But I will find resistance (and rightly so!) if I should try to prevent you from doing what you please. Anyone who works to prevent an individual from expressing their freedom while exercising their own is a hypocrite and a fascist. And it's quite ironic when you see they're supposedly standing for equal rights and freedom themselves most of the time. I only ask that people have the conviction to follow their beliefs/views to their logical conclusions rather than picking and choosing. 'Cos that's pathetic.
  17. Base settings from launcher are Ultra. I have manually lowered them considerably since. No Geforce Experience settings, that crap's whack. No demanding mods, just the unofficial patches, texture optimisation and the odd interface fix. All these are things I have already tried. I'm a vet with Skyrim and it's not that different here. With your rig I don't believe you aren't getting major drops, especially in Boston. Perhaps you're just used to them? I'm very sensitive to framerate so what you call nothing major would perhaps be catastrophic for me. The drops I am getting are bad enough to not simply wave off.
  18. So it's some evolved form of the grey-face bug? I haven't edited Mcready at all. Or anyone else for that matter. It's not full black but a literal black person's face instead of white.
  19. I'm using a 1080 and the game runs like it's on console... New GPU wont change anything. Good luck to you though.
  20. What gives? The rest of him is white. When he was a kid he was white too.
