  1. most simple way to resize mods -> http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/? u also need the new .ini for it -> http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55803/?
  2. Vividian enb or Tamriel Reloaded ENB are my choices. Vividian is awesometastic in my opinion regarding ratio of graphic / fps + has many options for cot / purity & stuff.
  3. well depends all on your cpu / gpu if u wanna play it and not use it for showcases i wouldnt get any textures above 2048, a decent but not totally overloaded enb and maybe not too much stuff like grass with extreme density AND size (though there's grass on steroids which gives u both without loosing fps, it's just an example)
  4. Take vividian - looks awesome, near 0 impact on fps, has many choices in the installer already implemented, doesn't needs anything else (though i'd recommend Purity & ELFX at least) +! it uses a pretty new enb so it doesn't needs sweetfx anymore.
  5. well if the texture pack overwrites the Skyrim HD Pack it should be no difference as if you would have uninstalled it. If it doesn't overwrites it u will have some nice vanilla textures back again. But sure feel free to do it if u don't need it anyways! If u want to make something about your loading time maybe better use 2k instead of 4k textures - at least for playing. You can also cut the 4k textures simply by a little tool -> http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/? it's very simple to use - make a workfolder -> put (in your case) the texture files from the mod in the workfolder. I would recommend to use some back-up files in case s*** hits the fan -> tell tool the workfolder directory at start -> u will see what u need to klick to cut the textures in half. U have to go half every time u use i. For example with 4096: 1. time 4096 -> 2048 2. time 2048 -> 1024 . . . save it and swap the smaller new textures with the old big ones in your skyrim installation - done. BTW you won't see much difference between 2k and 4k textures anyway - and even for 2k textures u need a pretty good pc for the outside areas Maybe... -try another enb (i love vividian+cot - standard installation has awesome effects + barely any impact on fps unlike other enbs which take easily 10-20 fps) -try Grass on steroids - it provides more fps if u choose a minGrassSize=90+ (up to 125) AND looks far better than vanilla grass pattern -try Purity instead of Climates of Tamriel - it has near 0 impact on loading and fps - COT has pretty much. Difference is easily 5-10 secs loading time. If u aren't that much into sunsets like me it's a pretty nice overhaul if u don't use it already. PS: looking at Pfuschers mods i'd say Skyrim HD covers far more than all his mods together. If you simply don't like some roads n stuff maybe try Textures & Parallax from the same dude if u don't wanna resize the textures - i prefer it above Skyrim HD. Fill in with some other Tamriel Reloaded mods he did or something like Vivid Landscapes and you should be fine. But really - skip those 4k textures for playing - it's no difference until u prod your nose into it.
  6. I'm now using Ayleid Sanctuary + Craftable Cloud Storage -> all fine. If anyone else has a housemod that fits my description plz post it though :)
  7. well salted food isn't the best choice anyway but with RND you can cook salt water which u can simply get at the shores in the north to get salt. It should be a load order thing, maybe simply try to restart RND ingame via the mod options (first page left upper side) or reinstall it and put it pretty low in the load order. I guess another mod that changes or works somehow with food interferes. Could be something like Frostfall / any water mod / breakable Bottles / get water from wells or similar stuff
  8. this is a bit confusing - do u want a mod that spawns a container filled with stuff that any of your other mods can provide? I doubt that's possible.
  9. i would recommend aft http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15524/? make nearly everyone your follower & marriageable http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36520/? MVFM http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36913/? works fine together go mvfm ->aft - make nearly.... for the installaion / load order
  10. btw if u want to get rid of the grain effect just open (at least for vividian) with any texteditor in Steam/Steamapps/common/Skyrim/enbseries effect.txt.ini - and search for Enable Grain=true and set it to false - that's all
  11. jeah.....but there's the auto sort stuff in there....^^ Thx for the tip for the vid though
  12. jeah if Lazz would implement simple autosort Ayleid Sanctuary would be PERFECT....i'm slowly thinking of modding it myself but i have no clues about auto sort so far :I There's the jpitner version but it added 2 rooms i'd really like to spare.
  13. u want http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59721/? or http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19446/? (simple version) ...and maybe http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40564/? too
  14. My new choice nr 1 is Vividian enb with Project Reality: Climates of Tamriel http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36067/? and http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17802/? (<- just copy+paste i don't know why it won't work as a link  ) with your machine u can easily choose the high settings. There is an option for real and - for you - shiny fantasy setting. Normal settings already look better than any other enb i have seen (and don't cost a single fps on my machine - i don't know how he did it)...and i slowly saw them all. U have tons of options while installing the enb by NMM or similar programs. looking at your specs don't forget Tamriel Reloaded HD -> http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61995/? ...or if u're like me and don't like some of the new textures try Textures & Parallax + the single Tamriel Reloaded Files like Grasses / Trees and so on -> http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46925/? + Enhanced Lights & FX -> http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27043/? the mix of Climates + Vividian + ELFX is mindblowing Other stuff u might like: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5504/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5388/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28110/? (don't forget the marvellous snow from the Vividian page. I can't run it on my medium potato but i heard it produces very many wet panties) + don't forget to end with Pure Water LAndscape Texture for the best riverbeds. You find it in the files section under optionals - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1111/? - they don't cost a single frame like every Purity mod If u want more just pm
  15. ...at least for me  Well title tells everything - i need a house that is perfect. What's the definition of perfect u might ask? Let's see... Most important: - Enough room for at least me + 2 Followers (or 4 if it hasn't already some merchants / cook including a place where they can live) + 2 Kids - some stuff to play for the kids like training dummy - Enough room anyway - i don't like it if the companions rake around the interior just because they want to pass - Not too big - i don't wanna pass 3 doors just because i forgot something - if possible 1 big room with everything u really need - max 1 door to reach everything (some stuff like swimming pool or other "toys" can be outside of the main area) - rather well lighted interior - i simply don't like those dark rooms - fancy like Ayleid - especially my little mage is a rich and spoiled brat :D - auto sort - would be nice if it would auto-grab stuff whenever i use a crafting station too - (rather) central spot on the world map - i use RND... - navmeshed - all crafting stations / tanning rack / smelter / cooking pot + oven - fishing pond / some bees / cow + chicken / (bird nest) / MANY spots to grow your own wee...uhm i mean alchemy ingredients. 12 is an absolute minimum. A seperated garden for crops would be nice too - enough mannequins ( = at least 6-8 up to a damn one for every set in the game - i wouldn't mind ) / shield + weapon racks / large + small displays - stable mod - no big problems like broken navmesh / mask spots that eat the masks / kids staring at their beds at 3 o clock in the morning and so on - an area for everything a good house has like cooking area / library / sleeping room / room for kids / room for followers / dining table and so on - they don't have to be huge - compatible with follower mods that can move your family Not THAT important but would be awesome: - some merchants like cook / alchemist / blacksmith - at least one to sell some stuff + maybe some guards if the area needs some - some shortcuts into the world like portals or whatever - pool area - enough free space to place some stuff i found on my travels - i don't like those fancy houses that look good & cozy but where i can't place one item because everything is stuffed already with odds and ends - mannequins can be switched from male to female and back ( yes i really play a male char too :O ) - a spot for every named quest item there is like dragon masks / named weapons and so on - nice exterior like Lakeview Extended - immersive stuff like working drapes / candles and so on...but really not important - stable for at least 2 horseys - ELFX compatible I don't really care for immersion though it shouldn't be THAT unimmersive like Lorebane Manor or Lynn Home. Something like Ayleid would be perfect.
  16. Have fun  omg....i tried the Vividian ENB and it's more than i could ever hope for! I'm using the non-performance version and i even got sometimes more fps than before o.O Thank u again so much for helping me out! Nearly 2 weeks of constant enb testing have come to an end!
  17. thx a lot Black Rose! Guess i'm gonna simply try my enb and hope for the best for now :) For me there is no real alternative to CoT - it simply looks awesome. Do u maybe know a good ENB that won't eat too much that is working with CoT?
  18. Hideyho! Can anyone explain the main difference between a "normal" enb and a enb that is tailored for Climates of Tamriel? Any settings that have to be made to avoid strange graphical bugs or something? Or are those just a bit more tailored to the colors of CoT and i can use basically any enb i'd like with CoT without having any problems at all?
  19. 1. Mod cleaning is basically the same as cleaning the add-ons. Gopher has a very good tutorial for both seperately on youtube. 2. VideoMemorySizeMb= your gpuRAM+your PC RAM - 2048 f.e. u have 4gb ram and your 2 gpu ram then it's 4096 + 2048 - 2048 exactly which gives u VideoMemorySizeMb=4096 to put in. I have seen some enb settings where they subtract 128 mb to have some space left but that's not mandatory. 3. i forgot if it already has been a topic for your problem (and i'm too lazy to read everything again^^) but did u have a look into your skyrim.ini in pc/documents/MyGames/Skyrim? There's a line that has to be [General] sLanguage=ENGLISH if u have another language i can be the problem for your ctd at the login screen. @ migalex maybe better delete your post and make a completely new thread. It helps keeping the thread clear and even gives your problem more attention if it isn't hidden in another guy's thread. PS: first thing i recognized is that your unofficial patches are on wrong spots. It has to be: Skyrim.esm=1 Update.esm=1 Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp=1 Dawnguard.esm=1 Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp=1 HearthFires.esm=1 Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp=1 Dragonborn.esm=1 Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp=1 HighResTexturePack01.esp=1 HighResTexturePack02.esp=1 HighResTexturePack03.esp=1 Unofficial High Resolution Patch.esp=1 ...then your other mods Loot can help u too rearranging your mods. Your ctd doen't necessarily has to do something with the cities. Your vram or ram that's dedicated to skyrim could be filled with too many stuff so the rather big cell of the city could simply be the last straw that breaks the camel's back. Don't focus on that too much. It COULD lead into a wrong direction.
  20. did u modify much in your current savegame? if u (un-)installed many mods maybe try the savegamecleaner -> http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31724/? Also cleaning all mods / add-ons with Tes5Edit can help to make your game be more stable for modding. Always make a backup of your game folder before doing this. If u want to know which files need to be cleaned install LOOT -> https://loot.github.io/ btw - with the latest SKSE u don't need additional tools anymore - they included the memory patch and other stuff already. Additionally you can push the initally allocated RAM by pushing the referring line in the SKSE.ini. You can find a .ini on the nexus or just google it - there's a good description on steam.
  21. Hi there! I got the little problem that if i reinstall a backup of my skyrim folder NMM won't recognize which mods are already activated (at least on the overview, sure it shows them in the plugin list). How can i tell NMM that several mods are already installed? An example: I modded the appearance of several chars (overwrite, no standalone)...backed the Skyrim folder...then i did several other things...then i screwed it and had to reinstall my Skyrim backup. Now in the mod list NMM states this mod as "not activated" (red X) although its activated in the plugin list. If e.g. i now want to uninstall the mod because i have a new one using the files the old mod referred to, too - how do i do that? I suppose if i click the mod it will only activate it (and hell knows where the files it backed up while it installed the first time will be - or if they will be lost forever in the abyss). Would be nice if i could simply tell NMM "hey these mods are already activated, check your install list" or something like that. Did i miss a button? :O Greets 7
