  1. The procedure I found for disabling Steam auto-updates is: right-click on the game -> properties -> updates tab. And then under "automatic updates," select "Do not automatically update this game. Seems simple enough, although I've heard that at times it may not work, not sure why that would be. That's why I don't use Steam :P No I'm not totally sure. It could be cause by any number or things, but the fact that this is occurring after 1.03 and you've apparently done nothing else out of the ordinary for you makes it my best guess.
  2. They may have removed it, in which case you may want to put in a request, or hit the books yourself.
  3. No idea. Not sure how the transition will work, especially if your char died at the end.
  4. I have no idea what transition from Origins to Awakening will be like. Unless it was a very large change, most mods can be removed with little trouble; items and the like. I would not recommend trying to force load a game without stuff the size and breadth of DAR or Improved atmosphere, they change quite a bit.
  5. You could have hit the mod file limit, but I doubt it. I would recommend uninstalling those last 5 mods, and try using DA Modder to install your stuff instead, or failing that, do it manually through the override file.
  6. I have no idea. Best bet may be to just browse through the DA Nexus files and look for something that sounds right.
  7. Once you have downloaded the files, there are one of several things that need to be done. If it is a zipped file (it looks like it has a zipper on the folder), you need to open them and pull the folders out and stick them into the override folder. If they are a PART/RAR/7Z file, you'll need a program that can decompress them so you can stick them into the override folder. Any DAZIP files need to either be installed using the DAUpdater or the DA Modder. (I'd go with the modder, it's easier to use.) Equal love; just a zipped file, all you need to do is double-click on it and drag the file folder inside to override, or just the stuff inside if you don't want the folder. Luchaire; can you be more specific? There are several mods containing that. Circles be gone; 7Z file, you'll need to install the 7-Zip program for it. PARv7; Just another zip, same procedure.
  8. The problem is that, while uninstalling 1.03 isn't too difficult, as soon as Steam notices that 1.03 isn't there anymore it will automatically reinstall. I'm sure there's a method that can disable Steam from doing that, but as I don't use Steam I can't attest to it. If you know how, you could set up your internet to block all Steam content. I'm researching it atm, I'll get back to you. Other than that, you should be aware that save games made in 1.03 will probably not roll back to 1.02. Meaning you'll need to pick up with a save from 1.02, once you uninstall 1.03 I could be wrong about that though.
  9. The simplest method I could think of is to just not use 1.03, it doesn't offer much and it screws up a lot of DLC and mods.
  10. Well if you did everything it said, and it didn't work, then you either didn't do everything, or something's wrong with your files. It may be easier just to use the Winter Forge mod. I don't use it myself, it says that its capable of recoloring items.
  11. I play both single-player RPGs and MMOs. Maybe they'll give DA2 some serious loving this time and actually pour some of their magic snake oil (aka employees) on it. I blame EA, they gotta learn to just leave Bioware alone and let them work. Vivendi leaves Blizzard alone when it comes to their games. Twelve years for a single game(SC2), you don't get much more leeway than that. Except for Duke Nukem Forever, but if that ever comes out, I'll also start checking for flying pigs, sans wings no less.
  12. Patch 1.03 is most likely the major problem here. It royally messed up official DLC and a lot of mods. You need to get it off your computer.
  13. It's no problem. Not an end of the gaming world or anything like that, I just don't have a few facial complexions, whatever they are.
  14. It's fine, I get some of the more basic concepts of computers, helps having a computer technician for a father :P No to 1.03, I saw the thread in general and made sure not to install it. I have the D2D, not the Steam version. I also un-installed all of the filed I could think of that would contain a chargenmorph from DA Modder and put them into the override folder manually so I could look take care of it more easily. Only stuff that's still installed via DA Modder is items and location, and a few GUI changes, like the 5th party member dog.
  15. Can DAZIP files contain or mess with chargenmorphs? I installed all my DAZIPs through DA Modder do I don't know how to find them...
  16. Go through and make sure you only have on chargenmorph file active. If you have more than one, you'll need to compare and compile all the information from other files into only one chargenmorph.
  17. Compared and compiled like, eight sets of chargenmorphs. Wasn't that necessary really, only added two things to the master file XP Then went through and got rid of every chargenmorph file except for one. Still got glass for the right half of the skin complexion bar... I'm starting to think they meant for it to be that way.
  18. Maybe one day, Mythic/BioWare will be given the same autonomy that Blizzard enjoys. They know to leave Blizzard alone when it comes to making their games.
  19. Honestly, I don't get it.
  20. Or it could just be a far-off floating piece of rock...just saying.
  21. Hmmmmm, depending on how much time it takes for everything to settle down after Awakening comes out, I'm thinking of just grabbing TES IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Deluxe from D2D and going bat-crazy with the mods. Although I dread having to re-learn procedure for Oblivion mod installation.
  22. KK. I have two files that are identical, save that one ends its resource tag, and the other doesn't, which do I want? Looks something like this: <human_male> <resource name="hm_har_blda_0" cut="0234"/> <resource name="hm_har_ha1a_0" cut="1"/> <resource name="hm_har_ha2a_0" cut="1"/> <resource name="hm_har_ha3a_0" cut="1"/> <resource name="hm_har_hb1a_0" cut="1"/> <resource name="hm_har_hb2a_0" cut="1"/> <resource name="hm_har_hb3a_0" cut="1"/> <resource name="hm_har_hb4a_0" cut="1"/> Versus: <human_male> <resource name="hm_har_blda_0" cut="0234"></resource> <resource name="hm_har_ha1a_0" cut="1"></resource> <resource name="hm_har_ha2a_0" cut="1"></resource> <resource name="hm_har_ha3a_0" cut="1"></resource> <resource name="hm_har_hb1a_0" cut="1"></resource> <resource name="hm_har_hb2a_0" cut="1"></resource> <resource name="hm_har_hb3a_0" cut="1"></resource> <resource name="hm_har_hb4a_0" cut="1"></resource>
  23. So, I have CC Extra Tints and Tones, Chargen Package, More Hairstyles, PTS Vibrant colors, and the Updated chargenmorph file for DA redesigned. (I'm surprised the two chargenmorphs don't conflict...) Ever since I got them, in character creator, the second half of the complexion bar just gives me like...a glass face, my face looks like it's made of glass. But the complexion bar is the only one with any issue. Any idea which of these files is the issue?
