  1. I would advise running BOSS and TES5Edit then come back and let us know the results. If your mod load order comes back clean and your BOSS doesn't report any red flags then you can try one other thing: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363 Clean your save game of empty scripts and "fix instances." It has cleaned up many a messed up save game of mine.
  2. Whenever I install a new mod I like to run TES5edit so that the load order is properly managed for me and I don't have to use any brain cells
  3. by the way this isn't my screenshot but this gives you an idea of what I'm seeing: http://i.imgur.com/EZWtUS7.jpg
  4. What are you trying to accomplish with the console?
  5. You can alt-tab to windows to see if the game is maxing out your virtual memory or hogging your CPU. If you run a program like Advanced System Care there's a mini display that shows how much both are hurting. If the game isn't taking more than 25% of either one then it's a problem with recently installed mods 9/10 times. You need to run BOSS and TES5Edit to diagnose the problem. If those come back clean then you need to start installing mods until you find out which one is causing the disturbance. Another possibility is your settings are too high, perhaps reduce graphics quality and see what happens.
  6. Have you run BOSS and TES5Edit? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/311/ http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/
  7. i'm not really sure why this started happening. I've always been running 4k textures and my computer handles the graphics on the highest settings just fine. But in the last day or so I've started seeing polygon stretching across the screen from the NPCs. I figure it has to be a graphics card problem but my video card is decent enough, an ATI Radeon 8760. The only mod I've installed in the last 48 hours is HDT Physics but could it be having this effect on my performance? I haven't tried turning down my settings yet because I've enjoyed 4k textures since day one and I don't think that could be the problem. I cleaned my computer from dust in case it was performance issues and I did a full computer sweep of anything that could be lagging it. Just not sure what could be causing it.
  8. I play more or less realism in terms of trying to get immersive gameplay just right. Frostfall, realistic needs, etc. But I learned my lesson from Oblivion when I used to go from the dungeon to Imperial City, like, 50 times in a row because I had to haul EVERY last piece of armor and weaponry that dropped. So I've decided to abandon realism for carry weight and actually it's the one thing I cheat on because I use a mod that increases my carry weight 100x. I find it's more annoying to realize I threw something away that I really really needed later. Which I've done way too many times. Plus if you play alchemy and blacksmithing you're constantly overburdened from ingredients and ingots anyway.
  9. EDIT - Sorry I figured it out. Downloaded an overlay mod and used racemenu to add the tattoos. Jumped the gun there
  10. First it took me about an hour to escape the very first cave of the game at Level 1 because a pack of wolves attacked me and I couldn't kill them. I had to set the difficulty to novice. Then I find they attack incessantly like a plague wherever you go in the game. And it's annoying because they aggro my followers like you wouldn't believe. One time I was talking to someone to start what looked like a quest and I got attacked by a pack of wolves. The NPC ran away and I couldn't find her again. Attacked by another pack of ice wolves as I left Dawnstar. Ok, I understand some wolf attacks are realistic but there are SO MANY that if I were a Jarl I would order the extermination of every wolf in Skyrim. And if there's a mod to eliminate these creatures I will download it. It breaks immersion and realism to be attacked by wolves NONSTOP. Like, nonstop. Any animal that was this aggressive in any world with humans would be hunted down and put into extinction. It's also unrealistic. Wolves aren't like this in this world and even though we're playing fantasy I don't think any other NPC creature is this aggressive.
  11. It's helpful to have fully voiced followers who have good AI like Sofia. I've tried lots of followers but the ones I keep are always the ones who make random banter. It amazes me when followers really say something unexpected that helps me during a quest. Vilja once helped me solve a dungeon puzzle which was ridiculous. I also enjoyed this one time that Vilja and one of the Lylvieve sisters sang a duet of the Dovakhin's greatness. Although the Lylvieve sisters aren't uniquely voiced this was a great immersive moment for realism.
  12. I've tried a bunch of follower mods and the only one that works well for me is Amazing Follower Tweaks (AFT). With AFT you can pretty much do anything. Sick of losing your followers? Use the spell function for AFT to recall all followers at your position immediately. Sick of followers doing the wrong thing? Set their behaviour using AFT commands. Annoyed your followers won't wear that shiny new outfit you spent 5,000 gold on? (ungrateful jerks). AFT will change that. You can even command them to relax and do other fun stuff. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15524/? Also, if you're using some of the very best creme de la creme followers like Sofia and Vilja you can set Sofia to warp to your location based on the distance she falls behind. With Vilja you can use a horn to call her to your aid.
  13. Inside of Nexus mod manager click the top left button "add" mod and then a browse for file dialogue will appear. Click on the zip file you downloaded. Then once it appears in your mods list on the right, find it and it will be red because it's not installed yet. Click the green arrow on the left that says install mod. It will install and you're done. be sure to follow any mod instructions that require additional files
  14. This one works very well and also is compatible with 360 degree run view: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35035 You must have a Body mesh that supports breast animation, like CHSBHC, CBBE Highly recommend. You can also look for the other bounce animations but they did not work with my CBBE bodies and it's a lot of extra downloads and it's not as good.
  15. Thank you for the follower and mod suggestions. I have tried out a few things including installing the Follower Framework mod. I have a question. The follower Sofia has impressed me the most in terms of random things she does. While Vilja has a lot of good dialogue, Sofia is the most natural NPC I've ever seen. She doesn't follow me too close, and when I stop she sits down and eats bread or relaxes. I actually stopped a quest dialogue once because she sat down crosslegged on the grass and that blew me away. Is there any follower mod that can get the other followers to act like Sofia in a more natural way?
  16. So I decided to install some follower mods. I started with Vilja, of course. But then I was trying the Lylvieve Sisters mod and noticed that there's an option to get one sister to follow Vilja. That made 2 followers. Then I installed the Sofia follower mod and expected her to replace Vilja but instead all 3 are now following me. Is there a maximum to how many can follow me? With 3 followers they are basically mowing down whatever I don't stealth kill with my bow. Pretty funny.
  17. **** RESOLVED **** Just in case this helps anyone else, this skeleton replacement on Nexus Mods worked with my meshes: XP32 Maximum Skeleton -XPMS From now on, back up back up back up!
  18. If it would help diagnosis the problem I will download any tool that might help explain why the game is crashing. Anyone have suggestions? I found this suggestion on the Internet, will try it when I get home from work tonight: Open Documents/My Games/Skyrim/Skyrim.ini and add the following to it: [Papyrus] fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0b EnableLogging=1 bEnableTrace=1 bLoadDebugInformation=1
  19. I'm sorry about posting this, I'm sure this is the millionth time it's been done. But I've tried searching for a solution for hours and I'm coming up short. Long story short: I didn't do much modding. I just used CalienteTools CBBE program to make some different bodies. Then I downloaded some meshes and manually edited them with the Outfit Studio. Every texture and mesh was put by hand in the data folder. I didn't use any mod manager. This all worked great for weeks. All the female characters had the proper clothes with the proper body shapes. Then tonight I was casually trying out a different skeleton and as usual I backed up all my files. But SOMEHOW I overwrote the skeleton_female.nif without a backup. Not sure how I did that. The next time I tried to load a saved game Skyrim crashed. I tried replacing the skeleton_female.nif with the vanilla skeleton but the game crashes. I tried a bunch of skeletons but no matter what I use it crashes with the modded meshes. If I go into data/meshes/actors I can put the Caliente CBBE body in there (femalebody_0) and my game WILL load just fine. When I take the clothes off I can see the proper shape. BUT if I have my CBBE edited meshes or clothes enabled it will crash every single time. Can it be possible that deleting the skeleton by mistake has destroyed everything? And is there a way to replace the skeleton using Caliente tools? Thanks
