  1. Yeah that was my first thought, as that's what I did in Falloutcraft. Sadly this is next to impossible to do. As I'm aiming to be able to chop down the trees of the wasteland. As you can imagine... Swapping them all with Activators will be... Well let's not go there :P Although I appreciate the reply, it's been a long time :P
  2. Okay so after a long time of taking a break in Modding I've finally decided to mess around. So I reinstalled Fallout 3 and the GECK and to my surprise the GECK is like it was when I first came upon it... A puzzle :D Things are slowly coming back to me, the more I load up my older mods and see what makes them tick, the quicker it seems to come. Well, that and my fiancée (Emma, AKA Wiccan0Witch) glancing over my shoulders and pointing out my stupidity in places. Yes... The master who taught the student is now being taught BY the student http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/armscrossed.gif How she remembers all of this when she's not been modding longer than I have is beyond me. Maybe it's a gender thing and we males just forget more :P But to the matter at hand, I remember running into this problem with Falloutcraft. I want to attach a script to a static object. The script is compiled and will work. All I need is a way to attach it to the object. But Bethesda in all it's wisdom never added an option to attach a script to a Static object. How on earth could I possibly achieve this? Ps. I'd much prefer to avoid using FOSE/NVSE if possible. However if you know how to achieve this using FOSE/NVSE I'll gladly hear it. Any option is better than no option :D If you're curious, here's the script. It will even give you a hint at what I'm trying to achieve ;) Here's something I posted not too long ago that is related to the mod I'm making: The Image
  3. Speaking of textures. All of my packs (Except Wastelandcraft naturally) have been updated to 1.2.4 http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/4329/bannertkr.png http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/5773/kdscubiclifesig.png http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/9272/kdshdrealisticbanner.png
  4. Question: What if you can't roll back due to fresh install? I've looked around and can't find any links for older versions on AMD's site. The only ones I can find are potentially dangerous links on different sites that I'd rather not use. This is for a friend, she's having the exact same problem. If anyone can find me a safe link for an older version for her that would be great! Also I've seen a potential -temp- fix. Apparently turning off Anti-Aliasing fixes this? Can anyone confirm? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dogva1onv7A
  5. Ah I didn't see anyway. I didn't download the drivers that way I just agreed to let it update itself. I won't trouble myself anyway. Everything works fine. If in the distant future I 'need' to update my drivers to even play a game then sure I'll do it. Until then... Nope. I'll throw all these suggests at her anyway. Hopefully she can get back to posting Skyrim videos soon. Thanks again :) Hope it works.
  6. Like I said, she can't roll back her drivers due to a hard drive failure. It's all fresh now. All her other games are fine. I'll get her to try turning off AA. But for me however... Considering it was fine on pre updating I think I'll stick with my older drivers :P I'm not sacrificing AA for newer drivers and a smaller screen. This issue is more important because she posts gameplay videos on youtube and I'm rather enjoying her playthrough. This has only been open an hour n a half. I'm assuming you're having the same/similar problem? Mind posting a screenshot?
  7. Okay so ATI was nagging me to update my Catalyst from 11.11 to 12.2 and instead of turning off the notifications I figured: "Okay so everytime I update anything, it seems to mess up these days. But surely nothing can go wrong now? Right?" WRONG. So I updated and threw up Skyrim to give it a test. Naturally as expected the resolution was messed up. 1080p no longer fit my lovely full screen. It was an inch smaller >.> Grr. AND to add insult to a small scratch of an injury... I had graphical glitches everywhere. It was like watching a 240p version of a 1080p video on youtube. The settings are fine, the game installation is fine. So instead of figuring out the problem I just sighed and restored my computer back to before the update. Now. This is more for a friend than me. She is experiencing something very similar to me. I cannot say whether she has ATI or Nvidia but she definitely has one of them. It's very similar to what I had. She cannot roll back due to a hard drive failure. The game installation is fine. Don't advise on that :P This is what she gets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dogva1onv7A
  8. Good to have you back Fallout :D Also I found this Seed I saved last year. I think I found it on Minecraftforums waaaay back. Needless to say it's a seed for Beta 1.3_01 So I loaded it up and came across a beautiful landscape worthy of everyone to play on. It's got everything you could wish for and more. So I looked around, generated what I wanted and converted it to 1.2.3 Release. That means there will be jungles on new generated land and a height limit of 256 which in Beta 1.3_01 you could only dream of! So I present to you. THE Epic World. Great for single player, even greater for multiplayer. http://www.mediafire.com/?258w3w8dueez9jg Have some pretty screenshots... On me ;) Sorry for the lighting... It's a lot brighter on my tv for some reason :P http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/787/20120313232859.png http://img859.imageshack.us/img859/2223/20120313233510.png

  12. I'm currently playing on the US servers. :P
  13. Any more takers on Brick Force? I have ONE beta key of the 8 I received left. ^_^ You don't even need a beta key to sign up by the way. It just takes a little longer to get unlocked. Beta key users have a priority. Also check out my latest project on the server ;) Inspired by Yoba's famous design ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gs16vSdnJdk
  14. Interesting yes, but I'm fairly certain this is putting people at risk that they don't know about. I admit the risk is small but it's definitely there. I'm not trying to make a point or attack the Nexus. I'm a long time user of this site. While I agree, the results are interesting, but behind closed doors, in safety. Not open to the public.
  15. Okay so I was bobbing around and stumbled across THIS This is a tracking page linked up to Skyrim Nexus. Displays everything from what resolution the users are using, operating system, browser and more importantly... Their IP... What is with this? Why is this information open to the public for anyone to access? Hackers for example? Not to mention marketing information that I'm sure many on here would like to know they were contributing to... Check it out for yourself. The button is on this part of the nexus: http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/1596/trackerk.png Here's what it takes you to (Blanked out information because it would be bad for me to do so...) http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/8168/wwj8yv5u3r.png
  16. Heh good news. I am now playing on US servers. ^_^ So yay for me and anyone else who was hoping to be rid of me ;) I'll drop you a steam message as soon as I see you.
  17. Well the Beta keys work for both so it doesn't really matter :P I don't care if we can't play together :P
  18. I have 3 beta keys for anyone who wishes to take part in the closed beta of Brick Force. It's a game with elements of Minecraft and First person shooters. It's a lot like Ace of Spades but a lot better in every way. It's free to play and I believe it will be free to play upon release too. Give it a youtube and check out the gameplay, it's very fun and highly addicting. Still needs a bit of work but highly fun. One drawback is that EU and US players cannot play together (yet) Although I think we can use the US and/or EU setup to play with them... I dunno I haven't tried it. So yeah, who's interested?
  19. Those look very good! I'll try answering to what you need: 1) Gun sounds have always been a problem. We can't use the originals due to copyright and there is very little sound resources out there for Star Trek (Besides TOS era sounds). The chances of using sounds similar to the originals is very unlikely but I am always trying to find ways to get it to work out. 2) Roguehallow, the creator of the RH Ironsights mod for Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Kindly made a grip animation for the Type II phaser model we have. Which looks absolutely fantastic. (Refer to Bajoran Image01) I haven't spoken to him in quite a while, but he's the best person I can think of who could get the grip animations looking just right. I suggest sending him a message and enquire about it. But it's possible he may be too busy. Still, loving the images and gun models.
  20. You can also climb down them even when they're not attached to a block. They behave exactly like ladders only you can't climb up. But you can still use sneak to stay in one position. Very handy really. Takes an attempt or two to get used to it as it's very easy to fall through the back and die.
  21. 1.2 Vanilla server generator is broken. Relogging usually fixes that.
  22. Oooh can you show us a screenshot? I'd love to see them! :)
  23. I confirmed this a while ago, perhaps I should have mentioned it then. 1.2 has a nasty memory leak problem. FPS and chunk updates both drop to 0 and CPU usage of Java goes through the roof. Most of the time requiring one to close the process. I don't know of the cause or a fix and is very common in multiplayer. (I've also noticed Java using 1.5GB of RAM on my computer which is far higher than what it usually uses) I've definitely ruled out Java and RAM allocation to be the cause. The spike comes on gradually, there may be the odd occasion when your minecraft freezes for a second, then fine for a minute, then happens again for longer until eventually it happens permanently, requiring a restart of Java. I'd say it's an error in the code, I expect Jeb to find the problem and fix it for 1.2.4 or 1.2.5 when they're back in office. EDIT: However, I'm currently playing on a Craftbukkit beta and so far I haven't run into a freeze today. It could be caused by the vanilla server jar file or I may just be having a lucky day ;)
  24. Easier to throw this in a new reply. Editing a message with pictures covering the entire of it is annoying. So yeah I've been touching up a few textures and working on a few new concepts. So far I am disturbed by what I've seen. I think I might use them in my wastelandcraft texture pack instead. http://img577.imageshack.us/img577/2484/20120304165457.png http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/7069/20120304162137.png Oh and here's some touched up textures in Cubiclife. http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/3630/20120304113632.png<br class="Apple-interchange-newline">
