  1. I'm aware of both, that's not the issue. So I'm either really cursed or my game is broken only in that part, because everything else works as intended.
  2. ...Oh. :pinch: But you don't know the extent of the curse. About a week ago, I had decided for the first time to adopt a kid. So I adopt that poor creature freezing in the streets of Windhelm. I married Ysolda, because who else would a notorious master thief marry than an undercover skooma dealer? So I take them both to Honeyside, close to my "work" base. After the first night - instant Father's Love effect. I was so surprised, I momentarily forgot that there actually is such a thing in the vanilla game. And the wife? ...Turns out she's with me just for my money and connections. Sloot.
  3. LOL  ...Wait. Are you suggesting that Mara has somehow cursed me?
  4. I've noticed that ever since I started to play Skyrim, I've never had the Lover's Comfort effect after my character sleeps with their spouse. It doesn't matter whether it's a vanilla or modded NPC/follower. It never, ever occurs. I never paid too much attention to the lack of it because my character usually gets very powerful very fast and that effect was never really essential. I've always been fine with just Well Rested. However, if anyone has an idea why my Dragonborns' spouses aren't honestly in love with them, I would really like to know and try to fix it, if I can.
  5. Vortex. Yes, it's the Mator Merged Patch I created. And I do have SSE Engine Fixes (both parts), it's not a regular plugin so that's why it's not on the list.
  6. Got it. Here it is, copied from LOOT: I'm using Vortex.
  7. Of course. Which game settings should I provide? ini. settings perhaps? And mods related to what specifically in the game?
  8. I wasn't sure whether I posted this in the right place, so there is an identical topic in the Mod Troubleshooting section. Moderators, delete the misplaced one if it is so. All of these behaviors/occurrences are rare, but they still happen randomly in my game. They don't always apply to the same objects/NPCs. Sometimes killed NPCs fall through the floor. Even when I disable collision via console, they aren't there (beneath). Often it's impossible to loot them because of that, unless their weapon is left on the ground. Some items in the world aren't positioned correctly (e.g. an item half-sunken through the shelf) or they just float weirdly. Sometimes items fall through the ground entirely.Sometimes my arrows don't hit an NPC, even though the aiming was perfect and I saw the arrow go right through them. This usually occurs at medium to long distance. It's bloody annoying.NPCs get stuck, messed-up pathfinding. Examples:- I follow Hadvar to Riverwood, he runs into the village and then runs back to the front of the entrance and just stands there. He never gets to talk to Alvor because of that. After leaving the village, he disappears. - Hulda getting stuck at the counter when I rent a room at The Bannered Mare. After a while, she may reach the room eventually - or just pop-in on top of the bed upstairs. The ground seems to be super-slick. If there is a slope, people will start slowly sliding. This is especially prominent during conversations with the player. NPCs/followers/creatures are more prone to sliding than the player. There's a lag in followers' reactions to quests. I don't know what issues my game could have to cause these behaviors. If you have an idea, please let me know. I'll be happy to provide more info on my game settings and specific mods.

  10. theskymoves, I hope every single of your New Year wishes comes true. Thank you! (I should have googled this in the first place, but I was too busy solving Toolset issue...which is also solved thanks to you) Also, I have another conundrum I've been trying to solve, and I actually did google it, but nothing solid came up. I'm playing in fullscreen, but the game occasionally pops out of the full sreen on its own and gets minimized in the taskbar. It's still running in the background like nothing happened, but in-game controls are completely unresponsive. Clicking on it in the taskbar returns the fullscreen back on. You can imagine how frustrating this can get mid-combat. Any ideas?
  11. Thank you, theskymoves! You are such a brilliant soul. I'll look into your recommendations before anything else. Setting up the Toolset took up most of this day because SQL was giving me hell, but I managed in the end. It works like a charm now, thanks to your link to that wonderful person nezroy's post. That thing should be pinned somewhere. And updated for Windows 10 rigs, I suppose. Thank you for the forum link Pasquale1223! Lots of goodies there. I believe I'm on the right track
  12. nezroy is a genius. Seriously. That post of his should be pinned somewhere as official guide for Toolset installation. Just a little update for Windows 10 users - to reduce possible headache that I had until I figured it out: You have to install Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio as a separate app, and MS SQL 2017 will do just fine instead of 2008. Every other step from nezroy's post is solid.
  13. This huge CPU info doesn't go away in-game, ever. How do I remove it?
  14. I successfully played and modded DAO approx 4-5 years ago, perhaps more, and then I changed computers, new games came along, you know how it goes. Now I installed DAO anew (I had to purchase it again) and...I completely forgot how to do its modding properly  I have Ultimate version with all DLCs (Steam). I'm on Windows 10 (laptop), 4GB VRAM, Intel HD Graphics 520 / GeForce 940MX My old computer was very weak, so now I can finally play this game smoothly in high res. I have downloaded the Toolset setup .exe, but after installing it won't start. The error window says "unable to connect to database". :ohdear: I remember I used to make some great head morphs in Toolset (some pictures are on my Nexus profile), but I don't remember how it's done. What I actually need here is a kind guidance on basic modding of DAO. I wish to remember how to use Toolset for creating head morphs of NPCs and player presets. I also need suggestions regarding some essential mods and utilities. It's been a long time and this game is not as popular as some (e.g. Skyrim), so many tutorials don't exist anymore, and frankly, I'd like to save some time. If you're still actively playing DAO with mods, please help. Your guidance will be greatly appreciated!
  15. How do I make a combat music replacer? I have a song ready, I just need guidance how to do this. It's for personal use. Any help is appreciated.
  16. I'm glad you managed to solve your problem. If you wish to be notified about responses to a certain thread here on the forum, you can subscribe to it (upper right corner of the thread), and you'll get notified via email. I don't do Discord. If you're playing Skyrim SE, I suggest you stick with SE mods because Oldrim and LE almost always need conversion. However, if you wish to learn how to mod, feel free to practice and don't forget to read other people's comments and tutorials. Learn more about Creation Kit and SSEEdit on your own, there are both written tutorials and videos. You won't be able to know if and how certain mods work together without the previous knowledge about those. Good luck and have fun
  17. You should never mess with mods that affect followers/NPCs mid-game. It's more trouble than worth. Also, editing custom followers isn't recommended if you're only semi-experienced in using Creation Kit. You also need to know how to work with NifSkope and texture files. If you wish to recover your save, I suggest re-installing Recorder mod and cleaning your save with Fallrim Tools (Resaver). As for how to properly edit NPC's head (including hair), this guide is excellent and helped me learn how to do it without fail.
  18. Creators of essential mods & utilities: "Phew... Finally fixed all that buggy crap, now we can enjoy the game..." Bethesda: "Nope. Here's another update."
  19. I'm not sure that modders even pay attention to this part of the forum, but here goes. Belrand is a spellsword for hire. His particular voice is used by more than 60 different NPCs in the game, not including generic male Nords (courtesy of a great voice actor Michael Gough). I think that all those lines can be pieced together to make him far more unique and provide him with a lot more to say than his vanilla verbal capabilities. I wish I knew how to do this by myself, but I don't. I would also add convenient traits to him, namely these: - Custom face (I already have one made, it's gorgeous, so that one is covered). I wouldn't want to touch his body, so it would remain flexible for body mods already installed by players. - His own horse, that spawns when the player character owns one as well. I'm having difficulties to understand how such an experienced spellsword doesn't have his own horse. It just doesn't add up. - Custom equipment. Some light armor, with a circlet flagged as light armor, because I think it befits a spellsword better than a helmet. Also, a one-handed sword. These items should be upgradable according to PC's smithing and enchanting skills. Interesting info found on UESP: In the Creation Kit data, there's an outfit named 'BelrandOutfit', which consists of a leveled piece of light armor boots, cuirass, and gauntlets of the best quality. However, it isn't in use. - Slightly customized magic abilities. Destruction should be the main thing, until the enemy gets too close and then he'll pull out his sword. If the player's health falls beneath 50%, he should stop whatever he's doing and use healing on PC. Perhaps this could be customized via dialogue options in case the player wants to be emergency-healed when their health is worse (e.g. 25%). - Assigning home to him when PC brings him there. If Belrand is dismissed from service, he should return to Solitude like normal. There should be a separate dialogue option to send him to player home. If he's dismissed completely while in relationship, he shouldn't be available for romance nor re-hiring again! I'd be adamant about this. Don't mess with his feelings. - Starting a relationship and getting married should be separate things. I think PC should spend more time with Belrand and talk to him more if they want him to accept proposal. - Going to sleep whenever PC does. If the location is an inn, he should go and sit in the nearest available chair and wait until PC wakes up. If it's a player home, he should go and sleep in the follower bed. After starting an intimate relationship, he should always sleep in the same bed as PC - unless it's a bed for a single person, then he should find a chair or some other free bed if there is one. - Sandboxing in non-hostile environment (closed quarters). - Seamless compatibility with sex mods. Namely, he should have an intimate dialogue option - as a part of this mod - when he's in a romantic relationship with the player, and whatever sex mod that is installed should take over when the scene initiates. Dialogue options offered by other mods should be completely ignored. - His personal input during some crucial quests, in the form of commentary, or perhaps a dialogue if it's possible. So what say you? I'm sure you guys can see the potential of making a spectacular follower out of a vanilla one. I sincerely wish I knew how to do this myself! I'm also open for collaboration with people who are experienced in making voiced followers, if you don't want to do this all by yourselves, or if you have more ideas. Please consider this suggestion.
  20. Playing Death Stranding <3
  21. Anduniel is a goddess: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/29946 This video also, suggested by fabulous Pandorable: (I don't know how I missed it while searching)
  22. Saved by ReSaver. Got rid of leftover garbage in my save.
  23. So I uninstalled Obsidian Weathers and installed Cathedral Weathers in its stead, hoping that the root of my problem is there. And now...I have this: Now it's bloody opposite! Should I check on .ini settings perhaps? If I do, which ones? I'm totally lost with this problem.
