Yes although I would agree with him on many points, vis a vis the rights of US citizens to own weapons, and with you too Syco21, the points need to be made more calmly. You only have to look what has happened in the 20th century, and indeed the 21st, in Europe to see where a disarmed populace gets you. Like genocide. I have seen an interview with a Jewish American this weekend who was a gun owner and gave that precise reason. Up until the 1920's Britain had gun laws that made the USA's look wimpish. Despite the very liberal gun laws, there was no huge rate of gun crime, and that certainly wasn't the reason that things were tightened up. The reason that they were tightened up is one that should give you the shivers and was precisely what the Second Amendment was promulgated to protect against. Britain tightened gun laws to prevent the peasants from revolting like they had just done in Russia, dear me, we couldn't have that old chap. In other words, so that they could have no means of protecting themselves against tyranny and taking up arms against overbearing government. And guess what...now we are sleepwalking to tyranny. And as jim_uk referred, we do STILL have a lot of gun crime in places like London, Shottingham and Manchester, as it is mostly only the bad guys who have guns. If you happen to be one of the few legal gun owners, we don't have a castle law, so woe betide you if you blast that would be burglar/murderer/rapist. You MUST let them rob/murder/rape you, so that the police don't have to get off their bums and do anything about it, which they do if you shoot the crims...

Yes I know all about the fact that reality can be a little dirty and smelly, not to mention bloody - being a countrywoman I've seen plenty of all of that. Therefore I am not particularly interested in seeing it in a FANTASY game. If I want to see a face that's a little frayed around the edges, I can always look in the mirror, hehe.

I hope they fire whoever was responsible for the Skyrim half cooked character generation. We have been on about this in Apachii's mod thread. In Oblivion you could add as many hairs and eyes as you liked provided you either added them to your custom race, or to your main cosmetic mod for the vanilla races. The Skyrim chargen throws a hissy fit if you do this no matter how powerful a rig you have. I would also like to see more detailed face sliders back. I never play melee characters so I see no reason for them to have a boxer's nose, as often happens with Skyrim.

I loathe them passionately, and did so even back in the day when I was fit enough to indulge in athletics and rowing. Yes it should do that detect settings thing if you deleted your ini. You may need to do a total uninstall and reinstall to get Skyrim to pick up your card.

Use something like CCleaner To totally clean your registry of all Skyrim related entries. When you run the tool it will tell you what it is recommended to remove. Try unplugging your keyboard and plugging it in again, restarting your computer, in various different orders. The idea is to get Windows to pick it up again. If you know the brand of your keyboard, you might want to try finding updated drivers.

What's your PSU spec? Also more details on CPU and Motherboard?

If you have clicking, you can't get Ultra with that card and it crashes on High, then I am sorry to say but you have bigger problems. And I speak as someone who had heap big problems recently. (Like new HDD, MOBO, CPU and PSU big) I think you may have some particularly unhappy hardware there.

You need to first do player.addspell *spell ID* Close console Open console player.removespell *spell ID* Just doing player.remove spell doesn't work for some reason. I have used the add and remove to get rid of the Draugr effect which gets applied to my chars every time they fight the Gauldursson dudes in Geirmunds Hall, and others have used the same method to remove the Death Hound effect.

I think I am going to have to get my system guy to check if there is anything else I could disable/enable, anything I could have missed, that is stopping me accessing Skyrim Nexus. Unless of course it is, as jim_uk suggested, BT messing about with me...

I thought so! I just knew there was something to do with ECE in there. That look is characteristic of what happens when you have some elements of ECE in there but not the full thing. You have the No Vampire Sunken Face for ECE installed. Because you do not use ECE, it is doing that to your faces. Uninstall that version and get the non ECE version of no Vampire Sunken faces, and you should be good to go.

Not every time, that's the weird thing. It happens sporadically and goes on for a period of a few hours. Like the other day I thought there was a site problem, then others told me they could get on, so I wondered for a few seconds if I had been banned. Obviously not, hehe! It's certainly weird.

It tries to load and then errors, with various different varieties of our old friend NGINX, it can be 501 or 502 usually. I would have no idea how to change my DNS settings, I just plugged in meh BT Homehub and it works (well since I insisted they send me a new one as the old one was a bit dodgy...)

That looks to me like what happens when you have had Enhanced Character Edit mod installed and then uninstalled it but have not replaced the femaleheadchargen,tri that mod installes with the vanilla one.
