  2. well, for ease of modding, I figured it would use the ingame .45 and shotgun shell. Of course it would be nice to see something more accurate like 454 and 410. As for use in game, I think it would be appropriate to require Strength and Gun Nut levels for base model and possibly that 3rd perk that has to do with gun and strength (I can't remember the name) The .44 is nice as is but feels VERY OP, I burried Mr. cornflakes at like lvl 23 on Survival and from that point on I could damn near 1 shot everything so if this were in game Id like it to really require end game stats to reflect the power that it should wield.

  4. Hi, Is there any way to remove radiation from a specific source of water? So, I made a pool of water in Sanctuary for swimming and hydroponic farming but every body of water i try out is radioactive and I tried using the water from the drive-in but it doesnt want to copy for some reason. I do have a body of water that is placed and perfectly sized but it deals radiation. I installed a water purifier that initially killed the radiation but that only lasted until I loaded the save and then it returned. Thank, J
  5. Im BA'ACK......SO........game crashes with the update and Im 100% confident in my material and texture files being correctly set for the mod that is causing the CTD. PLUS...my game runs great pre-1.3! So my question is; Is there a specific format for texture files since Ive read a LOT on textures being the cause of crashes with 1.3! Ive tried .dds with Nvidia and Intel both but not sure what other format might work.
  6. Well, I went ahead and changed the mat file to DefaultOutside1_dielectric.dds because dielectric is the texture that's actually used and now mat totally matches .nif. It worked! Here's the problem; in my haste and reading as you mentioned about some textures causing issue. I had tried both the Intel plugin (I use PS 6) and the Nvidia plugin for .dds and that didnt make any difference so I reverted back to 1.2 for FO4. So I don't know if it was reverting to pre1.3 that worked or my balancing the .nif and mat files that worked. I will test and report back if for no other reason than to learn something. Thanks for your reply and Ive been using a few of your mods for years, BTW ok, so for the scope the mat file says "Shared/Cubemaps/mipblur_DefaultOutside1.dds" for Environment and the same is found under BSShaderTextureSet between the normal and specular in the .nif. I think it has to be the scope or the suppressor because I retextured the changed the mat of those 2 specifically today but I DO NOT have the suppressor in game yet but I do have the scope equipped. What should be my next step? Thanks again After looking a little closer, there are 3 places for BSShader and 1 of them is as above but the other 2 actually are "DefaultOutside1_dielectric.dds" Is this a problem that DefaultOutside1_dielectric.dds is not mentioned in the mat file?
  8. Ok, so I retextured the M2216 gun and created new material files for the scope and suppressor so that the ones on my gun can be different than the rest found throughout the game. The .nifs point to the correct mat (.bgsm) files and texture (.dds) files. The mat files point to the correct textures and when loaded up in Nifskope, they look right. HOWEVER, when I load my game it CTDs as soon as I equip the gun or click on it in the gun bench. I have a save where Im holding the gun and that save loads and then CTDs as soon as the save is fully loaded. Any ideas? Thanks J

  10. Thanks for your help; I now have a suppressor that uses its own textures and does not bother the vanilla textures for vanilla guns. Using a material swap in FO4Edit would be easier and save file space I think. Thanks for the suggestion; Im gonna look at that anyway and see if I can learn an alternate route just in case for future projects
  11. When I check BGSM in Mat Editor it only has the textures for the gun itself. The M2216's mesh folder has the various scopes and suppressor nifs and they point to the vanilla game textures. My goal is to have textures for M2216's suppressor and scopes separately from the vanilla gun's textures Any ideas? Thanks J.

Ok, So I retextured the M2216 ( http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8807/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D8807%26preview%3D&pUp=1 ) but when I got to retexturing the scope and suppressor, in Nifskope the new textures show correctly and have the changed paths set but when I play the game the new textures do not show for the suppressor or scope. The suppressor and scope from M2216 use the game's textures from Combatshotgun suppressor and Machinegun scope. I have retextured them but tried giving them new names (M22supppressor_d and M22scope01_d) and placing them in M2216's texture folder then pointing Nifskope to them and it works in Nif but not in game. I have also tried keeping the original names (shotgunsuppressor_d and machinegunscope01_d) and placing them in M22's texture folder but that again worked in Nif but not in game. I do not want to simply change the original scope and suppressor because it is a retexture that only looks appropriate on my M22 retex but would not on all guns. Please, any help is appreciated J.
  13. Reidlos, I have the same issue; have you found any fix for it? I also run PerMa and CCOR as well as Craftable Cloud Storage. I've tried disabling CCS but doesn't help EDIT: For anyone with the smelter CTD problem, it seems to be the smelter itself. Using Jaxon'z positioner, I stored the smelter and then spawned an original (large domed) smelter and it functioned perfectly but upon storing that and putting the Morskom smelter back, it CTD reliably again. As far as I can tell there is something about the Morskom smelter specifically. I don't know what the "real" issue is but a replacement smelter works and you can use Jaxon'z tool to easily shrink and position it to fit the area.

  15. After playing ESO for a while I grew bored without new content and mod-ability. So here I am back at Skyrim to recreate the game I'm missing. Unfortunately, I forgot how much time I spend adjusting for mod compatibility and load order. Until a new TES with the same mod-ability, Skyrim is my true love
  16. Hi, I hope this doesn't break any rules. I have been away for a while and came back and always LOVED the True Bound Armor by Foster but I see that it is hidden. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could PM me if they have the file and would share it with me. I have NO (zero) intention of reuploading or any such nonsense, I just want to use it in my own game. Thanks, J.
  17. I can reliably load a save (any save) then die and CTD on 2nd load. I can then start the game up and load a save again and then die and CTD again on the 2nd load. I haven't the foggiest why. J
  18. turned out to be the same problem with bound sword in right hand. After clearing out all of my inventory and using player.resetinventory it works fine now. From what I have read this is a hiccup that happens occasionally from a previous update and multiple refid for same object. J

I do have 1 mod that might be conflict but I tried uninstalling it and it made no difference; it's called alternate summon visuals but I checked the posts for it and no one else is reporting a problem with it. The scoped bows was literally installed for the first 20 minutes of a new game and then uninstalled. I also have seen mention of Reanimated FX causing some conjure problems but nothing about bound weapons and I have not used the FX yet as I have not reanimated anyone yet. Also, I use the bound daedric armor but I dont actually have the spells yet. I love using the bound bow but it sucks knowing after using it once that the next will cause crash so I just save and sure enough. Kinda sucks I just got rid of my crahes with ssme and started a new game only to have this plague me.
  20. For some reason, I get a reliable CTD every other or every 3rd use of bound bow. If I use it, it might work but if I put it away and do it again. I wont get 3 times to work and most of the time it's every other use. When I started this play through I had that scoped bows pack but I got rid of it pretty quickly as it turned out to not be my taste and I was having trouble with the bound bow. It lists nothing special for uninstall. It also doesn't matter which hand I cast from, the result is the same. Why, What would/could cause this? J

Hi, I like the Spriggan armor from Nalim666 but he/she is no longer playing skyrim and I would like to upgrade a few things for myself but I am useless with 3d modeling and need new UV map for the armor so I can finish my retexture. I have tried and may continue to try but after several hours I have not gotten anything worth mentioning. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could redo the UV map/s for me so that they are more accurate and able to reflect 2k and 4k textures. for anyone willing to help. Thanks for any help, J
