  1. I downloaded Frostfall the moment I found it all those years ago and it has been a staple ever since. I was very excited it got added for the SE so quickly. This seems like a very cool series. There are certain mod authors who are "celebrities" of the mod world (at least imo) and Chesko is definitely one of them! Keep up the great work on the site and the mods!
  2. I've got the same mods running on both my laptop and my desktop, but for some reason when I load up a save from my laptop onto my desktop, items from mods dissapear. Armor crafted through Armorsmith Extended and beds from Homemaker for example. Each computer is running the same version of the mod.
  3. I had this same issue before. Turns out I needed to run NMM as an administator.
  4. The whole game is an instant CTD or still when trying to load a save file?
  5. I'm having a similar issue after updating mods. I'm still trying to figure out the cause because it works on my laptop, but not my desktop. From your load order though, longer power lines is incompatible with homemaker, which does the same thing anyways.
  6. I'm not judging because I have the exact same problem! Granted my laptop is not exactly a clone, it's less powerful and I'm not running as many texture mods (without .esps). My laptop is loading my previous saves, but my desktop isn't. I'm in the process of reinstalling on my desktop now to see if that helps. I am unable to load any saves, but I can start a new game on my desktop. On my laptop I have no issues with the same files. It's very bizzare. Edit - I played a new game for several hours on my desktop and got a CTD when exiting the cave under Red Rocket. When I started the game back up without changing a single thing, the save wouldn't load just like the others.
  7. LOOT can help with load order to a certain extent. I can't say whether the newest version of NMM has the same issues with queing installations, but it's usually best to install one at a time because more often than not, NMM seems to get hung when queing mods.
  8. Glad you got it working! I've gotten in the habit of running my order through LOOT religiously after changing up my mods, updating them, reinstalling them, or adding new ones after missing master problems in Skyrim too many times to count. LOOT isn't fool-proof, but it is extremely helpful.
  9. Right click on the .ini files you need to change and uncheck "read-only." You will then be able to save it properly. As for the require .ini changes themselves, follow these instructions: http://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installation
  10. Ensure that NMM is able to run as an administrator and make sure you have applied the required .ini edits.
  11. In the past I remember having to do the same thign in Skyrim. I'm not an ENB expert by any means, but is there an .ini setting in the ENB files that may be the culprit? I'd check the ENB forums as it may be already answered there as well.
  12. I can't speak to the re-name settlers mods as I've never used it myself. In past Fallout games I've used radio mods and it seemed like quite a few required additional downloads of the actual audio files, probably not your problem ,but doesn't hurt to mention it. I've not encountered issues with Homemaker either. Are these the only mods you're currently trying to use or just the only mods not working?
  13. I can confirm that I have Fallout 4 on my SDD and NMM on my standard hard drive. Like the above user mentioned, enable NMM to run as an administrator. Without that option ticked, NMM symlinks don't work properly.
  14. Optionally, run your list throught LOOT as it will be able to tell you, probably anyways, if any other plug-ins are using SSEx as a master.
  15. You may be encountering the same problem I had with my missing textures. Ensure that NMM is running as an adminstrator.
  16. I've encountered a rather weird problem with texture mods in the game. For some reason, the actual texture files are not being installed into the Fallout 4 data folder by NMM. All other mods that use .esp and .esm files, but do not change textures appear to be working properly (so far anyways). The texture files do show up in the virtual install folder however. These mods are installed on a fresh installation of Fallout 4 and I've used them before without any trouble. I have repeatedly check my .ini files to ensure the settings are correct, and I've tried to use both the new method and the old method that is no longer preferred because it increases loading times. I've come up with a few theories, but I'd like input before I go an reinstall everything again, especially if there is a quick and easy fix I'm oblivious to. And oh my god I'm an idiot, I just enabled NMM to run as an administrator and everything seems to be working. I'll go ahead and post this in case anyone else encounters this problem. If that's not okay, mods go ahead and delete it.
  17. The only way to use mods currently is to roll back to patch 5.
  18. Honestly, I'd leave shadows at ultra if you're still getting about 50fps. That is really great number for a game like this. I only notice low fps when it dips into the twenties or so.
  19. You can actually get Skyrim to use 8GB of ram using this skyrim.ini tweak under the [Papyrus] section: iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=4000000000 That may help some, but I still think your system could do better than what you're reporting. ENB killed my framerate, but RCRN provides similar results with no FPS cost. The biggest FPS offenders are AA and shadows. Try turning those down.
  20. BOSS is a program that sorts your mods an puts them in the best load order. If you haven't been using this, it may be part of your problem. Once downloaded and installed, open the BOSS GUI. You'll se an option for "BOSS Log Format." Select "Plain Text," copy the results, and paste them here.
  21. The only other way I know is to make use of the face sculptor. If you don't have the Dawnguard DLC, I'm not sure what to tell you.
  22. This is by far the best site for modding. Nothing even comes close. Keep up the great work!
  23. It may be more beneficial to post your actual load order. Easiest way to do that is to copy and paste your BOSS log here. It does look like lower res textures in the screenshot. Have you checked what your settings are through the game launcher?
  24. I have never changed my ugrids level. It remains at 5. Only possible weather mod is RCRN, which I have uninstalled. It made no difference. I will try reducing the amount mods, but no mod changes were made between the game behaving normally and this problem. I use BOSS and NMM religiously to maintain the best load order. Everything was working properly, mods and all well before this problem occurred. This problem seemingly came out of nowhere. LO / BOSS Log:
  25. I think you and I may be experiencing similar issues. I actually just made a thread about it here. It's quite annoying. I haven't messed with my ugrids and I don't use FXAA, so I'm not sure if there's a correlation.
